12. Michael S.
“Michael helped to take care of my 2 cats and 2 dogs. He did a great job with all of them. One of the cats needs eye drops and he was able to do this without issue. He took the dogs on long walks and played fetch with them. He was able to stick to the feeding schedule and didn't overfeed my pets and was there close to agreed upon times to make sure the dogs didn't have any accidents. He was very responsible and took great care of all the pets.”

About: I’ve taken care of pets of all kinds for the last 15 years, and began working with dogs 4 years ago when I raised and trained my own. Since getting a dog I have cared for and pet sat for many of my family friend’s and neighbor’s dogs and cats. I know how to handle medically complex pets and how to properly administer medications. I will love and care for your pets as if they were my own and ensure that they are happy and healthy whenever they are in my care! I am in my first semester of grad school and currently have a very easy schedule, so I have lots of time to care for your pets! I’m available in the mornings from 6-11 and in the afternoons most days from 4 pm onwards. I have a very friendly and well-trained dog that can help accompany your pup on walks and influence their calm with hers (she only accompanies me on walks when requested). I will ensure that your pet has a fun and safe time, getting to go out for a walk or potty/play break.

14. Anne S.

“As usual, Anne took the most wonderful care of our five kitties for several days. They love her, even our shy angry one, which says a lot! We can't recommend her highly enough.”

15. Jimmy S.
“My dog, Bailey loves it when Jimmy Shah comes to feed and walk her! Bailey can be a challenge for non-family members because she is a blind older dog (15 years old) but Jimmy handles her with care and respect.”

16. Gabrielle C.

“Gabrielle is fantastic and very dependable! She came ahead of time just to meet my dog and they hit it off and have already had two extended times together that went great!”

17. Amber M.

“Best sitter you could ask for in the area! Responsive and will treat your pets like her own. Would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will take care of their babies with the most love and attention as possible!”

18. August S.

“August did a wonderful job caring for our girls again! They got lots of love while we were gone, which makes it easier to travel knowing they are in good hands.”

19. Kiyel G.
“Kiyel has been a regular volunteer at our local shelter for two years. He’s a dog walker and loves dogs. Kiyel usually takes out the dogs that are more difficult to walk and handle. In my experience, Kiyel always treats the dogs with respect, patience, and care. Kiyel follows the safety protocols that we have to ensure the safety of dogs and people. In my dealings with Kiyel, he has always been honest, trustworthy, and easy to get along with. He’s never met a dog he didn’t like. I think Kiyel would be a wonderful, caring dog walker and pet sitter.”

20. Taylor S.
About: I’ve owned big dogs all my life, growing up walking and playing with Rottweilers. When I moved up to Syracuse in 2016 for college, I knew I was missing something (or now I know, someone)! I adopted my dog Goose during the height of COVID, and quickly learned he was no easy dog. If there was a behavioral problem, Goose had it- no trust of strangers, no trust of other dogs, even a phone going off scared him. But over the last three years, working with trainers- and even other Rover friends- Goose is now my best friend, but more importantly, he’s a confident- and happy- dog. If I didn’t have the group of people who gave Goose his first chance, like I did, I wouldn’t be where I am today! Let me help your furry friend open up to the world 🌎 🤍. I’ve experience house-sitting cats and large dogs, as well as walking all pets of all shapes and sizes! As a cattle-dog mix, my own pet is very high energy: I LOVE long walks and hikes. I work in organ and tissue donation with on-call shifts, so I build my schedule a month in advance and can work around what you need! I often work nights, so my days are open for last-minute walks and potty breaks. I have experience with crating dogs, if that’s how your dog feels safest when alone (when first training my own dog, it was a life-saver, and he now can happily roam the house while I’m gone). I also have experience walking with all types of equipment; Goose is trained on both flat collars, harnesses, and a gentle lead. I’ll take tons of photos of your pet with all the updates :)
