“Annie has been doing an amazing job of taking my dog on walks during my work days. My dog has been very anxious lately and developed some new fears and Annie has done a great job working with her despite those challenges.”

“Jordan has been wonderful to work with! I feel so comfortable leaving Finn with her, and he seems to welcome her company. She’s also very responsive and gives detailed summaries. I definitely recommend her!!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since childhood, whether my own, or for friends, family, and neighbors. I will treat your sweet dog or cat as my own. I can go on long or short walks, can administer medications, can play or provide sweet loving attention to your fur babies. I work part-time, so I’m happy to be at your home or taking care of your dog/cat before 9 and after 5 pm on Tuesdays-Thursdays. The other days of the week/weekend I can be there as often as you’d like, for as long as you’d like. I can walk dogs for as long as you need, we can work out a schedule that works best. My yard is partially fenced, so I fully intend to watch your dog during outdoor time if you are not one to use a lead. My house is 3-stories so perfect for any size animal. At the client’s home, I will follow your instructions as close as possible, and can provide a safe and loving presence. The only caveat is my house has 2 cats, so we must be sure the the visiting dog is safe with cats.
“Linnea did an excellent job checking in on our young pup while away on vacation. She kept us updated with lots of photos, and even began some training. We will definitely use her again on future bookings and would strongly recommend her to other folks!”

“Denyal sent me updates and was very patient with my dogs. This was our first time using a dog-walking service and one of my dogs was a bit nervous to meet someone new, but Denyal got him to warm up to her and have fun on his walk! Highly recommend!”

About: I brought our two cats, Chili and Lok-Lok, all the way from China, but I grew up with dogs in my family and love both. I’ve taken care of my family’s and friends’ dogs and I heard about this app so I thought it might be fun to give it a try. Whenever I get called on to dog-sit for my friend here in Pittsburgh I like to go to the dog parks near the South Side river or jog along with them, rain or snow, and socialize with other dogs. Looking forward to meeting yours! I’m a PhD student at the University of Pittsburgh so summer and winter breaks are relatively free, and usually I’m only “working” 2-3 half days per week. I have to do a lot of reading and thinking so getting out of the house is a good way to take a break and process. I have a fenced yard where I do some gardening and let our cats out every day to chase bugs and birds. My friends have stayed over with their dogs and I just move the cats to the second floor and keep them there while the dogs take the first and the yard.
About: I've been a trusted pet sitter, dog walker, and house sitter in my Massachusetts hometown for over five years, building lasting relationships with both pets and their people. This past summer alone, I spent nearly every week caring for dogs, cats, birds—even a couple of lizards! I treat every animal like they’re my own, taking the time to understand their routines, personalities, and quirks. Whether it’s a high-energy pup who needs long walks or a shy cat who just wants quiet company, I adjust to their needs with patience and love. What truly sets me apart is the genuine care I bring to every job. I’m not just doing this for extra money—I love animals, and it shows. I bring consistency, communication, and warmth, so you can feel totally confident your pets (and home!) are in great hands. I know how much trust it takes to leave your beloved companions with someone—and I never take that for granted. As a college student at the University of Pittsburgh, my weekday schedule can be a bit busy, but I make pet care a top priority! I’m typically available: Tuesdays after 2:15 PM Wednesdays after 1:00 PM Thursdays after 2:15 PM Fridays after 1:00 PM Weekends: Fully available all day Saturday and Sunday I’m based near the University of Pittsburgh campus and primarily looking to stay in that area, but I’m happy to travel a bit further for the right fit. I’m all about being dependable and working with your needs — just reach out and we can make it work! When I care for pets in a client’s home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, loved, and completely comfortable in their routine. I treat your pets and your space with the utmost respect and care, just like I would with my own. I have experience with a wide range of animals—dogs of all sizes, from tiny Chihuahuas to gentle giants like Great Danes, as well as cats, birds, and even reptiles. I’m confident on walks and always in control, but I also know when patience and gentleness are key, especially with pets that may be shy, anxious, or energetic. I pride myself on adapting to each animal’s personality and needs. As a proud cat mom of three (including one who needs a little extra love and attention), I also understand the unique quirks and care routines cats often require. I’ll keep things tidy, stick to your pet’s routine, and send regular updates so you always know how things are going. I genuinely love what I do, and I work hard to make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away.

About: Hi there! I’m Jacqui and I absolutely love spending time with dogs :) I am originally from Texas where I grew up taking care of lots of animals, including at one point eight dogs! I am very comfortable and familiar with caring for dogs of all ages and sizes, and I would love to help care for your best friend. I’m currently a student in school however have some open time on my tuesdays and thursdays for walks, and i’m available on weekends for walks, boarding, house sitting, or drop ins. Message me and we can see if our schedules align. I live in a pet friendly apartment complex and do not have any limitations to where your pet can be in my own personal apartment. Your pet would be able to roam free in the safety of my apartment where I would consistently be near to watch over them. We have a small grassy potty area outside our building for breaks and we could definitely go for walks down to point state park for some extra space to play and roam if that sounds alright to you. I will also follow any regulations you may have for your pet.
About: I've had more than half a dozen cats and dogs each throughout my life. I've helped feed them, give them water, walk them, and try to give them the happiest lives possible. These pets have been my best friends, even more so than most people that I've met. I absolutely love animals and always make them my priority! I'm a student at the University of Pittsburgh looking for a part time job when I am home on break, and weekend and afternoon work when I am at school. I love pets and tend to have a lot of free time at home and on weekends! My pets are technically my parents', but I often walk them because I want to get them outside and it's fun for me. I also feed them and make sure they have water in their dishes. I usually take my dogs as far as they want to go, whether it's for just a block, or for a few miles. I love to snuggle up with my dogs more than anything!
“Jagger had a nice first walk/stroll with Lara. She communicated well and followed the tips we discussed at the meet and greet. He looks forward to their next walk. Thanks!”

“Ashley is absolutely incredible! She brings her own poop bags and treats and is very attentive to Finn’s needs. She sends me picture and video updates which soothes my separation anxiety! I am going to continue to use her services, as Finn already is attached to her.”

“Brittani was great to work with, super quick to respond and was able to help with such short notice. Mosa seemed to love her, so we’ll definitely be booking again!”
About: As a kid, I took responsibility for training my family's golden retriever puppy, using a clicker and treats. We frequently played fetch and tug of war in our yard. After his passing, my family adopted our current 120-pound Bernese Mountain Dog. He was trained by his previous owners, but I taught him the boundaries of our yard, to avoid the need for an invisible fence, and taught him a few new tricks. I quickly learned how to handle this beast on a leash and enjoy hiking with him on local trails or taking him to the dog park. I also have experience bathing him at Tractor Supply and implementing a special diet and daily vitamins to help his health and bone strength. I am a full-time student at the University of Pittsburgh with a part-time job. My days are busy, but my evenings after 6 pm are open Monday-Thursday. Friday- Sunday, I am available all day. I can stay overnight, do drop-ins, or evening walks. I typically rely on the bus, but have access to a car if needed. I will ensure that I maintain your dog's typical feeding schedule and diet, using alarms and written instructions. I am also responsible for providing the necessary medications. I will check their water dish throughout the day, and if you have a cat, check the litter box at least once a day- more if you advise. I can walk after breakfast and after dinner. I try to find the coolest part of the day when it is warm. I keep a very clean house when sitting, and will ensure I leave your home cleaner than I found it.
About: Hi! My name is Colette, but my friends call me Mouse and I love pets! I've been taking care of friends and families pets for about two years now. I'm in college and looking to make some extra cash. I work around my class schedule, that is different day today. I'm able to watch or check in on pets throughout the day and night, and all weekends. I'm in school for theater so sometimes I do go through tech weeks that let me out very late at night, but when that happens, I'm still willing to check in on any pets! I believe in making sure your pets are fully safe and loved while you are away! I have no problem asking about what exactly is the regular routine of your pet to make sure they are the safest and most comfortable they can be without you.
Southside Flats dog parents share their Rover experiences
Michaela is very professional and great at communicating. She was in touch promptly and very accommodating. She took such good care of Crispy. She’s willing to do extra long walks which my puppy needs. She’s a natural with dogs as well and very gentle and affectionate. Crispy and I can’t wait to book her again!

Tiffany was such a wonderful walker! We especially appreciate her openness to taking a short notice booking. She was very communicative and wanted to understand our dog Julie’s routine. You can tell Tiffany gets along well with all dogs as the moment she came in, Julie was excited and ready to meet a new friend!

Jordan has been FABULOUS!! She walks our amazing goldendoodle 3 times a week, and our pup couldn’t love it more if she tried. Jordan is incredibly kind and loving to our doodle, and we are so thankful to have found her. We love her kind and detailed updates after each visit, and love when she shares cute pictures taken throughout their walks! She is incredibly dedicated too - even walking our pup in this crazy winter weather we’re having! Highly recommend Jordan to anyone and everyone - she’s the best of the best!

I booked Jessicah to walk Ivory my 5 year old high energy husky mix while I recovered from knee surgery. Her reviews were excellent but the deciding factor was her location, near to my home. She has been walking Ivory now for 2 months and she has won both Ivory’s and my heart. I trust her completely with Ivory. Not only is she a caring animal person she also has an upbeat happy attitude. I know she walks several dogs a day but she greets Ivory as if she is the only dog she walks. Ivory loves their time together and watches at the window for her. If you are looking for a person to take care of your much loved pet when you can’t I would highly recommend Nicole & Jessicah.
