About: You know when you’re out in public and your dog unexpectedly rushes straight over to say hi to a random (specific) person then needs to be physically pulled away even after they got the attention they wanted? For some reason, I’ve always been that random but specific person. Sometimes it feels like dogs suddenly materialize in front of me or like their “hello” is really more of a “it’s about time you got here!” Dogs (and cats, for that matter) also tend to insist on cuddling up next to me instead of their usual pick when I visit their homes (and I’m certainly not complaining). I currently only have cats, but I grew up with three dogs (a chocolate lab, a miniature schnauzer, and a Pomeranian) and have learned how to love both in the ways they want me to love them. What I love most about dogs is how pure they are. We all appreciate their undying loyalty, of course, but the sweet, unconditionally caring emotional presence that dogs carry themselves with is one of the things that makes life worth living. I consider non-human animals to be people too, and dogs are definitely among the best non-human animals. I would be just as excited as your dog(s) would be to make a new friend! My availability is flexible in general but particularly in terms of the time of day. I have a circadian rhythm difference that makes my sleep “schedule” change throughout each week, so if I’m given sufficient notice (48 hours), I’m easily able to modify my waking hours if your pet has time-sensitive needs. As mentioned in my bios, animals seem to naturally see me as a Disney princess. However, even though I’m very confident that I’ll get along with your pet(s) without any issues, their friendship is theirs to give, not mine to demand. Their needs are my top priority (and would be even if I weren’t petsitting); I recognize that some animals need lots of time and space to truly feel safe, and giving them that time and space is the only way to create a mutually comforting environment. Even if your dog/cat actually is insatiably social and unfailingly affectionate, I want to be sure that I get an idea of any individual boundaries or strong preferences beforehand so that I’m able to treat them with the same respect and care that I would a human person. As far as dogs and cats that want lots of love and affection, I am happy to give and share it! My cats sleep with me most nights and I often have one on my lap or next to my leg throughout a given day. Either way, I’ll follow your pet’s lead.

About: Hello! My name is Megan, and I recently received my master’s degree from CU Boulder. As I search for a full-time position, I have a flexible schedule and would love to spend some time helping care for your pets. My main goal of being on Rover is to gain experience with dogs so that I can be prepared to adopt my own someday! To help me gain confidence and comfortability for achieving that goal, I would work best with smaller size dogs. I’m also happy to spend time with older dogs that may just want some companionship, attention, and a calm presence while their owners are away. About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was 13, primarily caring for cats and dogs. My experience includes dog walking, feeding, playtime, administering basic routines, and cleaning litter boxes. I’ve especially worked with older cats and dogs, so I understand the extra patience, attentiveness, and gentle care they often need. I also have two cats of my own back home, giving me firsthand experience in daily responsibilities and expectations of being a pet owner. About: I have taken care of dogs of all shapes and sizes growing up and have always been the biggest dog lover! I have experience with raising puppies, caring for senior dogs, and working with dogs with different personalities! I would love nothing more than to bring some joy and adventure to your pups! As a fellow dog owner, I know that dogs are not only pets, but family. I have experience walking big, strong dogs, so I’ll be able to hold and manage keeping your dog on route and out of trouble. I also have plenty experience taking care of dogs when owners have been away. I make sure they get fed on time, are let out to use the bathroom, get plenty of cuddles and pets, and play any games they want to! If your dog needs a bath, I also have taken multiple dogs for a self wash and have dealed with the worst of the worst. I’m currently on the job hunt, so I have plenty of free time to take care of your pups! Really any day or time should work for me! I want to be sure that your dog is as comfortable as possible in their own home, because consistency helps them feel safe when their owners are away. I’ll follow your feeding schedule, walk times, and any other specific instructions you leave me. I’ll be sure to make sure all doors and gates are always properly closed and help keep the home tidy and secure!

About: Hi there! I am a firm believer in treating pets like family and showing them nothing but love. My pets can do no wrong in my eyes and I know what it’s like to worry about them when I’m away from home. I am an attentive and caring and have loved having pets my entire life in addition to a few years experience petsitting dogs and cats back in California and Oregon. I also spent time caregiving for the elderly and looking after their pets was a big part of the job. I am open to caring for any type of animal! I am currently a full time student with availability weekday mornings before 9am and afternoons usually after 3:00pm. I can be available anytime throughout the night and full availability on Saturdays and Sundays. I have one sweet older cat living with me in my one bedroom apartment and she’s just a joy to have around. Due to her timid nature, I am unable to bring other pets into my own home for pet sitting but I offer any other service for your pet such as walking, feeding, playing, giving medicine, you name it :)

About: I have a one bedroom apartment downtown Salt Lake City with easy access to many trails in the avenues, and a Millcreek pass! I’m very clean, my dog Fred is a seven-year-old blind Australian cattle dog, who loves a good hike and sleeps in bed with me, so your pup can, too! I understand all areas of pet ownership, especially the needs of dogs living with disabilities and medical conditions. I will maintain any schedules you have, and will make sure your dog gets extra love during your time apart. I work virtually, so the opportunity for midday walks, and adventures after work are available. I like to stay as active as possible, and my dog and I are often out hiking or playing with other dogs. I also love a lazy day where I can snuggle up with the pups and enjoy a movie. It’s my goal to get another dog at some point, and I would be happy to watch your loved one while you are away. I live in an apartment with a nice size patio. Lots of natural light and fresh air. There is room for crates if your pup is crate trained. All pups are welcome on couches and beds. I also have large dog bed for naps, and many toys for the pups to play with. Walks around town will always be on leash, and I’m usually out on a trail once a day with my own pup.

About: I love to care for animals! I have experience working with senior animals, animals in training, caring for wounds, and administering medications. I love to share daily photo, video and thorough updates while you’re away. I ensure prompt and clear communication. I can also care for your house plants! I am a CU Boulder Psychology student working towards a career in clinical mental health. I am at school 4-6 hours a day - this allows me to dedicate more quality time to caring for your pets compared to those with full-time schedules. I will begin back at CU Boulder late August. I am very clean on a personal level and always leave homes as good or better than when I arrive. I am well versed with different kitchen equipment especially sensitive kitchenware like easily scratched pans. I have been complimented on my knowledge of house care. I also keep an eye on your pet’s behavior: like if they’re acting off or having different bathroom habit. I’m happy to handle any clear requests you have.

I was raised around dogs, cats, and many random smaller pets, so I can handle just about anything. I frequently go on hikes and trail runs, and love to bring dogs with me.
