About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was 13, primarily caring for cats and dogs. My experience includes dog walking, feeding, playtime, administering basic routines, and cleaning litter boxes. I’ve especially worked with older cats and dogs, so I understand the extra patience, attentiveness, and gentle care they often need. I also have two cats of my own back home, giving me firsthand experience in daily responsibilities and expectations of being a pet owner. Because of this, I’m very mindful about my care towards your pet! I’m currently a second-year, first-generation student at CU Boulder, balancing school and a Work-Study position. I’m generally available Thursday through Monday after 1 PM and can be flexible with advance notice. When I house sit I treat every home with respect, focusing on your pet while you’re away. I understand leaving your home and furry friend to a stranger can be worrisome so I do my best to comfort your pet and keep your space the way you like it.

About: I have taken care of dogs of all shapes and sizes growing up and have always been the biggest dog lover! I have experience with raising puppies, caring for senior dogs, and working with dogs with different personalities! I would love nothing more than to bring some joy and adventure to your pups! As a fellow dog owner, I know that dogs are not only pets, but family. I have experience walking big, strong dogs, so I’ll be able to hold and manage keeping your dog on route and out of trouble. I also have plenty experience taking care of dogs when owners have been away. I make sure they get fed on time, are let out to use the bathroom, get plenty of cuddles and pets, and play any games they want to! If your dog needs a bath, I also have taken multiple dogs for a self wash and have dealed with the worst of the worst. I’m currently on the job hunt, so I have plenty of free time to take care of your pups! Really any day or time should work for me! I want to be sure that your dog is as comfortable as possible in their own home, because consistency helps them feel safe when their owners are away. I’ll follow your feeding schedule, walk times, and any other specific instructions you leave me. I’ll be sure to make sure all doors and gates are always properly closed and help keep the home tidy and secure!

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and have helped care for them from when they were puppies through adulthood. Over the years, I’ve helped with daily walks, feeding, playtime, training reinforcement, and making sure they get plenty of attention and exercise. I’ve also helped care for dogs belonging to family members, which has given me experience with different breeds, personalities, and energy levels. “I’d never used the app before but loved how easy it was for Sam to keep me updated both times he visited to walk our dog. Our dog is an old boy and can be a little defensive at times, and pretty slow-moving, but Sam was super patient with him. Sam walked him for a full 30 minutes and from what I can tell, he just let our dog take it slow, sniffing (and peeing on) all the things along the way, which is his absolute favorite thing to do. I’d recommend Sam for sure, and will ask him back if we ever need help with our pets again!”

About: I am active, outdoorsy, and I will make your dog the center of my universe for as long as you need. I was raised around dogs, cats, and many random smaller pets, so I can handle just about anything. I frequently go on hikes and trail runs, and love to bring dogs with me. I’m currently unemployed and taking a break from classes, so I have near infinite free time this summer and can be there for your pet whenever you need. I live in a 4 bedroom apartment, but I live alone now so there is quite a lot of room. Given my overwhelming amount of free time I will treat your pet with the constant attention they crave.

About: You know when you’re out in public and your dog unexpectedly rushes straight over to say hi to a random (specific) person then needs to be physically pulled away even after they got the attention they wanted? For some reason, I’ve always been that random but specific person. Sometimes it feels like dogs suddenly materialize in front of me or like their “hello” is really more of a “it’s about time you got here!” Dogs (and cats, for that matter) also tend to insist on cuddling up next to me instead of their usual pick when I visit their homes (and I’m certainly not complaining). I currently only have cats, but I grew up with three dogs (a chocolate lab, a miniature schnauzer, and a Pomeranian) and have learned how to love both in the ways they want me to love them. What I love most about dogs is how pure they are. We all appreciate their undying loyalty, of course, but the sweet, unconditionally caring emotional presence that dogs carry themselves with is one of the things that makes life worth living. I consider non-human animals to be people too, and dogs are definitely among the best non-human animals. I would be just as excited as your dog(s) would be to make a new friend! My availability is flexible in general but particularly in terms of the time of day. I have a circadian rhythm difference that makes my sleep “schedule” change throughout each week, so if I’m given sufficient notice (48 hours), I’m easily able to modify my waking hours if your pet has time-sensitive needs. As mentioned in my bios, animals seem to naturally see me as a Disney princess. However, even though I’m very confident that I’ll get along with your pet(s) without any issues, their friendship is theirs to give, not mine to demand. Their needs are my top priority (and would be even if I weren’t petsitting); I recognize that some animals need lots of time and space to truly feel safe, and giving them that time and space is the only way to create a mutually comforting environment. Even if your dog/cat actually is insatiably social and unfailingly affectionate, I want to be sure that I get an idea of any individual boundaries or strong preferences beforehand so that I’m able to treat them with the same respect and care that I would a human person. As far as dogs and cats that want lots of love and affection, I am happy to give and share it! My cats sleep with me most nights and I often have one on my lap or next to my leg throughout a given day. Either way, I’ll follow your pet’s lead.

About: **Note on availability: I’m moving to Boulder, CO on June 29th, so unfortunately I won’t be available for pet sitting in Baltimore after that!** I’m a (near-)lifelong pet owner and (actually) lifelong pet lover. I grew up with an adorable calico cat that my family got when I was 2 and an energetic Stabyhoun dog we got when I was 11, so I can’t remember a time in my life when I didn’t have an animal or two to care for. That calico cat, Micio, was my best friend until she died at age 17, during my senior year of high school. She experienced some significant health issues in her final years, which gave me lots of experience and a real passion for caring for senior pets and pets with health issues. I also help my mom care for my childhood dog, the Stabyhoun, whenever I visit the two of them—he is now 15 and has a few health issues of his own, but he still acts like a puppy, and I love figuring out how to make him as comfortable and happy as possible as his needs change! Sadly, the building I live in right now doesn’t allow pets, so I get my fix looking after my friends’ pets. This is what I’ve been doing since starting college in 2018. Between cat sibling rivalries, kittens so small they needed monitoring and heating pads 24/7, a dog with a fear of trash cans and rain, a puppy with a peeing problem, and two dogs competing to be the most polite to each other (I had to feed them in different rooms so they wouldn’t wait forever for each other to eat), I’ve cared for plenty of pets on every side of the personality spectrum, from the shyest of the shy to the most outgoing. I see it as a true privilege to get to know so many animals’ personalities and quirks, and I treasure the time that I spend with them. I am careful, thorough, sensitive, and a good listener. This helps me learn from you about how to give your pet the best care possible, and it also helps me be alert to anything your pet is trying to tell me while I’m with them! Hopefully I’ll live somewhere someday where I can have pets of my own and even offer boarding or doggy day care at my place, but for now, I’m just happy to help in any small way I can. I look forward to getting to know you and your pet; to learning what makes them feel safe, happy, and content; and to hopefully making a new friend. I’m a part-time music teacher, so my schedule can be quite flexible when planned ahead of time. Currently, I’m available M/W/Th before 3pm and after 5pm, Tuesdays before 3pm and after 9pm, and Fri-Sun all day. Depending on the week, I might have a concert to play or a lesson to teach here or there outside of those hours; let me know what time window you’re interested in and I can give you my full schedule in detail! I try my best to make the care I provide is customized to any pet’s needs. Since I’m a musician, my only limit is that if I’m spending a whole day or days with a pet who needs a lot of people time, I need to be able to practice my violin. I have a practice mute which can make the sound very soft, but still, I understand that this isn’t every person’s (or animal’s) cup of tea! Outside of that limitation, I am available to take your pet on walks, play with them (in or outside of your house), pamper them, feed them, give them medications, intervene in sibling squabbles as needed, do training exercises with them, brush their teeth—if your pet needs it, and you’re willing to teach me any special instructions or methods you have, I can do it!
