About: I have been around animals my entire life. I grew up in Alaska raising ducks, chickens, rabbits…even a ferret! I’ve always had dogs and a cats. I currently live with a senior pup and a young cat. We have several backyard chickens too! I worked as a professional dog walker/pet sitter for a number of years in Connecticut. I’m used to being outside rain or shine. I also know the importance of being able to adapt to each pets’ individual needs including special diets or medication. I work from home with a lot of flexibility so with proper planning and coordination I can be there to meet you and your furry friends’ needs. I have a fenced yard and a dog who doesn’t mind the company of other well socialized animals. We do have a cat and small child so please consider that before booking. If staying at your home, I will treat it just as my own with respect and consideration for you and your family and your privacy.

“Darby was awesome! She cat sat for us in the house overnight and was so thoughtful and clearly cared for our cat. She sent great pics/updates and I feel much less anxious about our upcoming longer trip with her being there.”

About: Since I was 16, I’ve been taking care of pets owned by family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors. I am reliable, passionate, and loving to all animals! For the summer, I am mainly working during the day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, but I am typically available after 4pm. Otherwise, I can spend full time with your pet! I can easily follow instructions for however your pet needs to be taken care of in your home - feeding, walking, crating, etc. are no problem.

“Sara was very kind and communicative. She played with our grumpy kitty and kept us up to date about anything going on. We really appreciated her thoroughness and will definitely be booking with her again”

“Callie has been great with both of my dogs: patient with the skittish one and willing to reinforce our training with the puppy! She was flexible when we needed to reschedule and great about communicating. We'd definitely like to hire her again when our schedules get so busy that we need help with the dogs!”

About: I've had dogs my whole life, I've been a cat owner for a decade, also experienced with small pets like hermit crabs, rabbits, and fish I have a very open schedule, so flexibility is not an issue. I prefer scheduling within normal business hours, but can adjust that as needed I approach new animals (and homes) with respect first, boundaries are important! I lead with openness and patience, and take my cues from the animals

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was young, starting with family pets and then helping out coworkers, roommates, and friends. Now, thanks to Rover, I’ve expanded that experience by sitting for dogs, cats, and even chickens and ducks through multiple bookings. I’ve stayed overnight, done daily drop-ins, and cared for everything from laid-back seniors to energetic young dogs. No matter the setting, I take pet care seriously. I follow routines closely, respect the home I’m in, and always aim to make pets feel calm, safe, and well cared for. Whether it’s their first time away from their owner or they’ve done this before, I treat every animal with the same attentiveness and warmth I’d hope someone would show mine. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine, and I’ve built my schedule to ensure pets receive consistent attention and care. I’m currently studying for the bar exam, which takes place at the end of July, so my days are structured and home-based—perfect for maintaining a steady rhythm for feeding, walks, and playtime. After the exam, my schedule opens up significantly, and I’ll have full availability for longer or more frequent bookings starting in August. I don’t host pets in my home, but I take pride in following your routines closely and keeping pets content in their own space. I’m neat, respectful of your home, and mindful of both your pet’s needs and your home’s security.

About: I’ve cared for many different types of animals at many different ages, my favorite of course is always dogs but still think cats are adorable! I’m available most of the week so just reach out with a time you need and I will get back to you as soon as I can. I don’t have any ability to take a pet to my apartment as it’s not pet friendly sadly but I am happy to take them to a local park or on a walk!

“Kristal was our very first hire from Rover! I am a nervous wreck over the care of our pets (one blind dog, one dog with epilepsy, one with behavioral issues), and she put my mind at ease instantly. She was responsive, friendly, and great with our (four!) animals. We would invite Kristal back to take care of our pets any time.”

Melissa C.
“My family and I have known Melissa for more than a decade — as a neighbor, a key player on the soccer team we coached, and as a fellow animal-lover. When in middle, high school, and beyond, she was one of only two teens we trusted to pet-sit for our multiple cats, fish, and high-intensity dog. She simply is that “Wonderful Human Being” —caring, loving, RELIABLE, responsible, resourceful, strong, smart, etc. Melissa has a calm, steady presence — always aware — and follows-through. When needed, she is consistently responsive and communicative. Perhaps most importantly for Rover is that Melissa has a lovely way with animals and their humans:). Any client, company, or pet would be lucky to have her on their team.”

“Goldie is more than an animal lover, but also a dedicated individual with a remarkable work ethic. Together, these qualities make her a fantastic animal caretaker. She is thorough, attentive, and takes seriously the well being of my pets. I have had no concerns having her house sit for my cat and dog, and both were happy to have her as company.”

Meghan M.
“Meghan has an incredible way with animals and it’s something I’ve seen consistently over the years. Whether it’s been our family pets or animals she’s cared for through friends and coworkers, she has a calm, caring presence that pets naturally respond to. She’s patient, attentive, and truly goes the extra mile to make sure every animal feels safe, comfortable, and loved. I would trust her with my pets any day, without hesitation.
