About: I have taken care of pets of my own since I was very little and started pet sitting for neighbors around the age of 10. Most recently I have taken care of my neighbor's cat and dog multipul times over the past 3 years. I am working part time and am on summer break. I am willing to check in on animals or walk them whenever needed and I only work 3 1/2 hour shifts. The dogs I have are a bit spoiled and well loved. I will love what ever animal I watch and will take care of it however you would prefer.

“Ethan took amazing care of our huge moose of a dog, LeeLou (the bloodhound). We had been so worried about finding somebody to handle her, but he set our minds completely at ease with his extensive updates. He made it possible for us to relax an enjoy our time away from home, and LeeLou had a wonderful time. I will definitely book Ethan again, and recommend him highly! =D”

“Sarah was so great with my high energy dog! I felt very confident in her abilities. I also appreciated her good communication and professionalism. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Always good to have Chuck check in on the dogs. Never have to worry about them getting their needs met. He seems to appreciate their antics and gets some good steps in with our wild one.”

About: Hi! My name is Gabby, I’m a huge animal lover, and want to help you care for yours! I grew up with dogs and have lived with some kitty friends too. I’ve also pet sat for family and friends with pets of all different shapes and sizes! Our furry friends need a lot of love, and I’m eager to help. I love exercise, so your dog will get a great energized walk with me! I love to kick a ball around or play a game of catch too. I hope to hear from you and your pet soon! I’m currently rehearsing a show/about to open it, so pet care fits pretty well into my daily life, especially my mornings! Week by week availability fluctuates in early August, but when we’re up and running I’ll have most days wide open to hang out with your furry friends! I love to meet a pet in a well known environment for them to get to know them. I offer a safe and friendly personality for them to trust, and will always respect an animal’s boundaries!

About: I've always had a dog in the home, I couldn't live without them. Currently I have four dogs and know the importance of getting a bit of extra help in caring for them from time to time. I have been a pet and home sitter since the age of 15. I am willing to walk, feed, medicate, bathe, and play with your fur baby just as I would my own! I am currently a Mental Health Clinician that works remotely. This provides me the flexibility to manage my schedule to fit you and your pet's needs. I have my own transportation and am willing to come to you. I have four small dogs that are well trained and friendly with other fur babies. For pet stays I do try to engage in a meet and greet to ensure everyone gets along prior to a stay. I have my own home with fenced yard in front and back. When pet sitting I like to spend my time home with your pet to help them feel comfortable in my space or yours. We will sit on the couch, play, and relax together allowing you the peace of mind to know that your fur baby is being taken care of while you are away.

About: I have been taking care of dogs, all age and size since I was a kid. I recently got out of the military and am looking for something to keep me busy. I will be available five days a week, preferably afternoon. I have reliable transportation and ample time to give your pet the care they need. I have a spacious townhome and two cats that love having visitors. I live five minutes from Wapato Park, were they allow dog walking, and my complex has a dog park.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was very young and they have always been very special to me. We have a large house with a fenced backyard and two black labs with different temperaments. Whiskey is 7 and more on the submissive side, whereas Ginny is 3 and very rambunctious. Her excitement is a bit much when people/animals walk through the front door, but give her five minutes and she’s a good girl :) Both get along well with other dogs, love to play, and are prolific nappers. We also have a 9 year old son who has grown up around animals his whole life. We would love for your fur baby to join us! I am available for drop offs between 6 A.M. and pickups as late as 8:30 P.M. I do have to leave the house to drop off and pick my son up from school, but it’s not far. I will occasionally need to go to the store or run an errand, but won’t be gone from the house for more than 1.5 hours. I have a fenced yard and 2 labs to keep your dog company, plus two large crates if you prefer. We also have lots of bones and dog toys. We keep the house cleanish but do allow animals on the furniture if you are ok with that. Our dogs usually sleep in our room at night, but can be flexible if we make them.

“Heather is awesome. She came over to meet the dogs and they instantly loved her- which is rare for one of my mine. She was on time for their walked and walked them the whole time. She made sure to lock the door and things on the way out. We look forward to weekly walks from Heather :)”

“I really loved working with Sydney! She walked my pitbull three times a week, and was always so kind to her and my cats, and she would bring treats for all of them! She showed a lot of my patience with my dog, and communicated great with me! I would recommend her for anyone, but especially those with dogs whose trust you have to earn!”

South Tacoma dog parents share their Rover experiences
Michael is amazing.. he took great care to get to know our Skippy dog and understand his routine and mannerisms. He is incredibly reliable, provides excellent feedback, and is that perfect balance of personable and professional. He knows his dogs, and can is trusted with our special Skippy dog. We are very lucky to have found him!

I met Zac while he was walking his dog, I was impressed by the harness he was using, so I stopped to inquire about it, as we talked, I told him a bit about my dog and some of the challenges I have walking her. He was very nice and seemed very knowledgeable in dog behavior and dog training. He offered to go on a walk with me and my dog, Willow, to offer a few basic suggestions that may help make my walks more enjoyable. I use the Chuck it toy to exercise her because walking her has been so challenging. She is a high energy dog that can be reactive with other dogs walking by, if not managed properly. I am now working more and unable to walk and exercise her twice a day. I need help but reluctant to trust anyone to walk her but myself, this would be the first time anyone else has walked my dog. When Zac first met Willow, he was very loving and confident with her, she took to him right away and the way he interacted with her, gave me the confidence that he has the skills to walk Willow safely. So I booked a walking session. We met at a beautiful park with rolling grass and trees for shade. I was impressed, he came prepared with water, bowl, toys, treats and of course, poop bags. I could tell he was very focused on creating a positive and safe walk for my dog. Willow was very excited to see him, we said hello and then, off they went with Willow wagging her tail. Upon their return, Willow was still wagging her tail and totally loving her time with Zac. I am so glad I found Zac, He has a special way with dogs, It's such a relief that I now have someone I can trust and I know, genuinely cares about Willow's experience and well being while in his care. 🐶

Great First Experience! I recently hired David for a walk with my energetic pup, Markus, and it was a fantastic experience. David arrived on time and understood Markus's need for exercise. After the walk, Markus was so tired he just wanted to sleep, which speaks to how well David engaged him. I appreciated the photos he shared from their walk, making me feel connected while I was away. I highly recommend David for anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog walker, especially for high-energy dogs!

John was so great and a huge help to us. He was very fast to reply to our last minute dog walking request, arrived on time, is great at communication and very kind. Our 80 lbs Doberman loved him and I knew she was safe in his hands. I also liked that John had experience with big dogs since he has a husky! We will definitely be using John again. Rooney gives two big paws up! 🐾

My dogs are always so happy after a visit from their friend Laura! One of our pups is a senior boy who needs more specific care and she always assures us that his needs are met. The pictures she takes are so cute and great to receive when we're away for any period of time.
