Dog Walking North End

About: I’ve always grown up with lots of pets, and currently my family includes 5 pugs. I have experience with very large dogs, small dogs, newborn puppies, and elderly dogs. I love walking dogs and can take them out for as long or short of a walk as they need. I also have experience giving them medications including pills, ointments, and eye drops. I am not working a full-time job until the beginning of the school year, so I will have a lot of time and flexibility to do dog walking and drop-in visits in Tacoma every day of the week. I can take dogs on long or short walks, depending on their age and what they can handle while paying attention to how the warmer weather might affect them. I can also do check-ins to feed and play with your dog or cat, making sure to give them plenty of attention and care.

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats since I was a kid, have several cats at my home in West Tacoma, and love spending time with dogs of friends and family. I live in West Tacoma and have availability weekdays and weekends in mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Open for mid-day visits and walks, short or long term sitting, and more. I have cats in my home (and sometimes foster kittens) so I’m very familiar with helping cats get comfortable in new spaces or around me for the first time. Careful around open doors, clean and tidy, and respectful of your space!

Our home has 5 animals and I love curating their care based on their personality to ensure they feel safe & loved. I’m currently working part-time creating my own schedule, able to customize my schedule around pet care to ensure their regular routine isn’t disrupted. I love to spend extra time with animals when their parents are out of town, as I know that’s when they can feel the most stressed. I can stay overnight with your animals, and provide regular care intervals throughout the day to ensure your animal is well cared for. About: I have owned or cared for dogs my entire life, with the occasional rodent or scaled creature thrown in. Hopefully not at the same time. I’m comfortable with basic wound cleaning as well as administering medication. After a period working in a pet store I’m also more skilled in ear cleaning, breathing treatments, and temperature taking than I’d care to be. Work situation changed so I’m more open to daytime walks and drop ins. I also keep a weird sleep schedule so if you need a late night drop in or walk, hit me up. Update: I did recently get a dog. He’s a young doodle and prefers to chew on my hair and hands more than toys, but gets along well with other dogs. He sure everyone wants to be his friend. He is young, potty trained and a great playmate. So right now the only way I’m able to sit is if your dog would like new bestie. I am unable to care for pets in my home. I live with my niece and her cat can be a little…stabby, for lack of a better word. In your home, I’ll be following your lead. I do tend to go outside with dogs at night, even with fenced yards. I am always wary of bobcats and coyotes looking for water and snacks. I’m also perfectly comfortable with a pile of animals sleeping in bed with me so if that’s what your animals prefer, I’m here for it.

About: I have taken care of many kinds of animals - sheep, pigs, bunnies - but by far my favorite is dogs. Right now I am mom to a beautiful four-year-old corgi, leaving me time to take care of your dog, too. I live in the heart of the North End and know all the best places to walk dogs, from parks to neighborhoods to your block. I am retired after owning and running a restaurant for 20 years. My (human) kids are big enough that they don't need constant attention. My routine is very flexible! I review instructions carefully with client. Can crate your dog if needed. Slow-paced exercise or vigorous workout? Your choice. Behavior that should be reinforced? Just tell me.

About: I have grown up with animals my whole life from rodents to dogs. I have experience with labradors, basset hounds, German shepherds, Shih Tzus, and cocker spaniels. I also have had bunnies, turtles, ferrets, and I currently have 2 guinea pigs! I love all dogs, big or small! When I was in high school, I got my own yellow lab- Sedona. I trained her on basic commands: sit, stay, paw, lay down, roll over, and polite walking manors! I recently retired from the Army, and I have a flexible, part time recreation job. Mornings and Evenings are typically the best time for me to schedule, but because my schedule is flexible I can make accommodations! Whatever guidance I am given to respect someone’s home I will do! As for dog walking, I keep all dogs on a leash for their safety. I can do long walks or short- fast paced or slow sniff everything walks.

About: Grew up with animals my entire life, and started sitting for friends and family at an early age. Experience with animals of all ages and temperaments - and have additional training from the local Humane Society where I volunteered until I recently was hired - in animal behavior and body language. Also, some exposure to Zoom Room clicker and positive reinforcement training techniques. I’ve just started a new job so figuring out how best to manage the time, and have one pet at home, but there is quite a bit of flexibility in my schedule at this time. And I will happily communicate to find a good routine that works for all. I am currently available most days during the week, and some weekends and will publish any changes in availability as far in advance as possible. Due to the pet in my home, I currently offer services in the convenience of your home as well as dog walking and outings. I care for all animals as if they are my own, ensuring clean healthy spaces, plenty of fresh water and appropriate food, enrichment, playtime, and balanced exercise.
