“Kaylee walked my dog daily while I was on vacation. She was prompt, professional and gave my dog a little extra TLC every day. She sent pictures and daily updates. I would definitely recommend Kaylee!”

“Samantha was on time very morning to walk our dogs, was great about staying in touch with updates and photos. She was also super patient with our one pup who has been healing from a wounded shoulder so could/would only walk short distances. She was flexible and adaptable to make sure she still got attention. We were able to relax during vacation knowing Samantha was there every morning for our doggos.”

“Kayla took such great care of my pup ❤️ Kayla was wonderful to work with - always quick to respond, polite & friendly, and my pup loved her so I knew he was in good hands!”

“Paul is a wonderful addition to my dog’s routine! I was scrambling to figure out what to do on my 12 hour days with my newly adopted rescue female pit mix when classes started this Fall. After reviewing a few profiles, Paul’s really stuck out as someone with both passion and genuine knowledge about dogs/dog behavior. I asked him to come meet my dog before we officially booked to ensure that she reacted well to him. Within the first few minutes, my dog was on her back requesting belly rubs. Needless to say, they hit it off! I feel very comfortable with Paul and SO pleased with how happy my dog looks in the pictures I get from their weekly walks. Even when she refuses to go outside in the rain, he spends time hanging out with her so she still gets some attention. I couldn’t be more appreciative and I’m sure my dog would 100% agree!”

“Mark has been awesome with Chance. My work hours changed and Marks walks with Chance give him the fresh air and exercise he loves so much. Mark has been very flexible with my requests when my schedule changes. I know Chance appreciates the attention!”

About: Dogs are my full-time career and lifelong passion. I specialize in creating low-stress, individualized care using Fear Free and positive reinforcement methods, with a special interest in fearful, reactive, and special-needs dogs. My experience includes: * Fear Free Boarding & Daycare: 6-hour course and exam covering canine body language, facility design, safe dog interactions and play, positive reinforcement training, behavior, physical health and wellness, and medication administration to minimize fear, anxiety, and stress. * Victoria Stilwell Academy Dog Training Fundamentals graduate (positive reinforcement). * American Red Cross Pet First Aid & CPR Certified. * 3+ years volunteering with Dakin Humane Society, specializing in fearful, reactive, and behaviorally complex dogs. * Assisting with positive reinforcement group classes at Tails U Win. * 5 Years of fostering rescue dogs. * Experienced in training, enrichment, behavior modification, wellness monitoring, and medication administration, including oral medications and injections. * Specialized experience working with deaf dogs using visual communication and American Sign Language (ASL). I also share my life with a deaf, reactive special-needs dog who has earned her Canine Good Citizen (CGC) title and participates in agility, Fast CAT, Happy Ratters, and other dog sports. * Licensed wildlife rehabilitator, providing medical care and rehabilitation for injured and orphaned wildlife. * Dedicated to caring for one family at a time, allowing every dog to receive individualized attention in a calm, low-stress environment. Pet care is my full-time profession, so my schedule revolves entirely around the dogs in my care. I typically care for only one family at a time, allowing me to provide personalized routines, enrichment, exercise, and constant supervision. I want every dog to feel at home, so I do not use kennels, pens, or crates unless you request it or it's necessary for your dog's safety. I also sleep in the dog care building overnight, so your dog can receive companionship and attentive care 24/7. Your dog's safety, comfort, and emotional well-being are my highest priorities. Because of this, I care for one family's dog(s) at a time, unless otherwise discussed, which allows for us to create a calm, low-stress environment without unfamiliar dogs. Dogs stay with me in a dedicated, professionally designed, climate-controlled dog care building with heating, air conditioning, and continuous Wi-Fi and cellular temperature monitoring. Outside, they enjoy a fully fenced 2-acre yard with secure 5-foot fencing, dog-safe vegetation for natural enrichment, shaded rest areas, play structures, agility equipment, and supervised swimming in a 700-gallon chemical-free dog pool (owner approval needed). Every stay includes individualized enrichment, toys, and treats tailored to your dog's preferences, routine, and any dietary needs, allergies, or sensitivities.
“Melissa was extremely professional, responded quickly and came through in a pinch. She went above and beyond to help me out with my dog and ai would use her again in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, my work circumstances changed so what I thought would be an on-going service with her turned out to only be needed once. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again!”

About: Hi there! I’m Hannah. I know how difficult it can be to leave your pets, whether it’s just for the day or longer. If you choose to give me the privilege of caring for your pets in your absence, I will ensure they are as loved and happy as possible. I have a special place in my heart for anxious and reactive dogs (I have one of my own), but will provide the same level of love and compassionate care to any and all pets! In my spare time, I volunteer as an assistant dog trainer at Our Companion’s Canine College in Manchester, Connecticut and am working towards my CPDT-KA. I’m happy to offer any of the following services in addition to standard care/exercise: training, enrichment, jogs, basic grooming (brushing/bathing). If there is anything else your pet would benefit from, please ask and I will do my best to accommodate! My current schedule is quite flexible, so rest assured that caring for your pet(s) will be my top priority! Early mornings, late nights, you name it. Whatever your pet(s) prefer. My care style tends to be very play-focused to create a happy environment for your pet. However, this can be modified as needed for your pet(s) preferences.

“Katie helped me out tremendously when I had to find a pet sitter to walk my dog Kava last minute, and she was absolutely fantastic! She was responsive, professional, and so kind. She was truly a life saver and I felt confident that Kava was in good hands.”

About: I have been taking care of animals since I was a kid. I've cared for all types of dogs from dachshunds to pitbulls; toy poodles to great danes. No dog is too excitable or too strong to handle. I am an active person and will make sure your dog gets lots of exercise. My husband and I like to make sure all pups end the day happy and tired. With a large yard on a quiet street, you pet will feel right at home here. I work from home every day aside from Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with a lenient job that I can walk away from when needed. I can take the dog out at any time of day, and have a long lunch break for walks, and plenty of time in the evening for play. I've sat many pets in their own home, and have been able to learn how they behave in their own environment and adapt accordingly. Respecting people's spaces is a top priority, and I always make sure to leave a home exactly as I found it. I have a large home with plenty of outdoor space at the end of a quiet cul da sac. The back yard is secluded and very safe. We do not keep food out, and we make sure no plants that can harm animals ever enter the home. The neighborhood is quiet and safe with very few cars. Most all other dogs in the area have interacted with dogs we have babysat, and are very friendly and well trained.
About: I love dogs and cats! I do not currently own a dog or cat, but I volunteer with Our Companions in their Adopt a Shelter program spending time visiting and walking dogs in local shelters, and I have volunteered at their animal sanctuary in Ashford walking dogs. I am also in their Canine College program, taking and assisting in dog training classes. I enjoy using positive training techniques (treats and praise) to reinforce polite dog walking and attentive behaviors. I am comfortable walking dogs up to 70 lbs. I have recently retired, which gives me some flexibility, and I am participating in a Canine College dog training program. I love dogs, and I am looking for more opportunities to meet and spend time with dogs. I also enjoy cats and would be happy to house sit and/or walk your cat as well! My recent experiences with Our Companions Animal Sanctuary and Canine College programs are teaching me so much about being a pet guardian for different kinds of dogs. I am learning about dog body language and how to help engage dogs in enrichment, calming, and attention-game activities while in a home, in a yard, and on a walk. I have friends who own cats, and I enjoy getting to know them as well.
About: I've been dog sitting for a little over 8 years now for friends and family. I started dogsitting for clients at the salon I used to work for. I own 2 dogs myself one of which is 11 and the other is 5! I love cats and dogs so much and I can't wait to have my own house to adopt as many as I can! I currently don't own any cats but I can't wait to in the future! I currently am working as a full time bank teller Monday-Saturday at the Polish National Credit Union! I'd love to be available for overnights during the week for your pet and then just go to work during the day. The weekends I'm usually available full time for petsitting! I'm very flexible with what needs to be taken care of for your pet! I can take them on walks or for car rides. I can play fetch for as long as they want outside. Obviously take them out for potty and feed them give them treats. I can cuddle with them or brush them. I have taken care of a blind dog before so I can give them eyedrops or medications as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
