I have experience with all ages from puppies to senior dogs with special medical requirements. My own dog, Luke, is very dog friendly as we always have fosters in & out of the home. I work from home M-F so there is almost always somebody home with your pet. My schedule is flexible to accommodate frequent potty breaks. On weekends, my husband and I like to take whatever dogs are in our home on a short, or long hike depending on the tolerance of the animal. Pets are family! I will accomodate any reasonable request. Unless you ask otherwise, all pets will be allowed on furniture. We have baby gates up to separate the dogs in the home if needed..if your dog is crate trained, we have a crate set up in the family room. If your dog is not used to the crate (but is housebroken) they will be allowed to free roam the kitchen/living room at night. All dogs will be fed separately!

About: I used to volunteer at Dakin Human Society during college through their Dixie Dog Program where I walked dogs, fed them and enriched their time before adoption. I currently have two dogs of my own (both over 100 lbs each!) and a senior cat. I have experience working with senior dogs as well. I have a life filled with wonderful pet experiences and I would be happy to give great care to your animals as I have giving care to my own. I have also had experience bottle-feeding puppies and training them during their puppyhood! I am currently working part time, so I have lots of time to play with your pups! If you are interested in a weekly midday let-out/play time/walk schedule, then I am available for you. I am also interested and available for house sitting if needed during the work week, and weekends as requested! From December 20th to January 26th, my schedule is entirely open for the holiday time for house sitting and other services! About: I’ve had dogs and cats of all sorts and sizes since I was a kid, and love playing with them. One of the requirements for our current home was to have a big yard so our boys could run free! I work from home and create my own schedule, and am an introvert so I’m almost always at my home unless I’m running an errand. This means I’ll always be here to take care of your animal and take them for walks, bathroom breaks, or play time. I have a big (unfenced) private back yard far away from any neighbors. I have two doodle’s who love to play with other dogs and two cats who will probably hide the whole time. Your pet will spend most of their time with me while I’m in my office or doing chores around the house, then the rest of the time playing with me and (optionally) my two dogs in our yard. My two doodles love other dogs and are non-aggressive, but if there are any issues I am happy to separate them. I used to train dogs in another life so I know how to handle and care for dogs.

About: I've had dogs for the past 19 years, mainly pitbulls and mastiffs. But I worked in a doggy day care in the past and have experience with all types of dogs even cats. Currently a hospital manager at an animal hospital. Open availability , early morning and evenings are great. Weekend availability as well . I work with animals all day , from cats to exotics. I can accommodate your needs however you need. Safety for your pet and I will be my main priority. I want you to feel comfortable and confident in my care. I currently work third shift 3 nights a week but have someone home on those nights. So your pets will never be alone . I also have 3 children who enjoy helping so it has become part of daily routine to do feedings and walks. I treat your pets like family, I usually request a crate for them so they have a familiar safe space in case they get overwhelmed but otherwise they free roam. I follow whatever schedule you follow at home. So if you allow your fur babies on the couch so will I. But if not I respect that and follow that as well. So it really is treating your babies like ours. I’m an early riser, so early morning feedings and walks are easy to fit into my routine. My work schedule can vary so I can be flexible with walks. I treat your animals as my own, while still following your household rules for them. I do request a crate during stays so your pets have a safe space they can feel comfortable in.

About: I have always had a pet dog and ever since I was a teenager, I’d dog-sit for family and neighbors. Since college, I’ve been pet-sitting ajd dog walking on a more professional level. I’ve babysat for a few hours, simply for a walk, but have also watched multiple high energy dogs for up to two weeks. I’ve cared for dogs under a year old and up to 13 years old. I’ve always loved dogs and find them very easy to get along with and care for no matter their size, age, or personality. I have also cared for kittens a few weeks old, senior cats, administering medication orally, grooming them if they have long hair etc. Cats have a very different energy than dogs but I enjoy taking care of them just as much as dogs. I am currently in between jobs so I have a lot of free time to care for other dogs, whether it is a short walk or a multi-hour play date, etc. I always follow whatever guidance I am provided by pet parents. This means if you are only comfortable with your dog on a leash or lead while in your yard, I strictly follow that. If there are specific commands to use, certain behavior to watch out for or discourage, particular toys or activities they enjoy, I always follow what information I am given and am always open and communicate well about any issues or concerns that might arise on my end.

About: I have been a lifelong animal lover since I was a little kid, My first pet being a sweet stray cat my family took in before I was even 5 years old. I have years of hands-on experience caring for and loving pets, my own of course and many others that have trusted me to care for theirs. While I am new to Rover I have a lot of experience with things like daily dog walking, providing medications (pills, topical treatments,) house sitting, drop-in visits, dog walking and even boarding pets in my home. I am also great at reading an animals body language which helps me connect better with anxious or shy pets to help make them feel as comfortable as possible. Spending time with animals is one of the best parts of my day, it fits naturally into my routine and brings me a lot of joy. I am very reliable, trustworthy and have a flexible schedule so I am able to work with you to create a schedule that you're most comfortable with. My home is spacious with 3 friendly cats and 3 well-socialized dogs who all coexist peacefully and are used to having new furry friends around for a temporary time. Pets in my home are all treated like family where they receive plenty of love, playtime, cuddles and socialized attention. My backyard is fenced in for safe outdoor exercise or just to hangout and catch a breeze on a nice day, my neighborhood also includes many quiet side streets for daily walking if needed. My home is air conditioned on those days that are just too hot and heated when it gets too cold. There is a big basket on the floor full with multiple types of toys, an easy accessible water bowl that's refilled at least 3xs per day, food or things on counter is not left anywhere that can be easily reached and harmful plants/chemicals to animals are not brought/used in my home.
About: I’ve loved animals since I was young, always being known to be the person who asks “Can I pet your dog?”. Having grown up living with and partially helping to train my grandparent’s standard poodle puppy at age 9, I knew then that I wanted animals in my life forever. Through the years I’ve done fundraisers for local shelters, looked after and groomed family dogs, given pet care advice, and for the last four years have worked professionally as a kennel attendant. My job has always been a joy to me, and despite its stresses I always tell people that caring for animals is the best job I could ever ask for. I’ve been able to meet and work with pets of all different breeds, sizes, temperaments, and abilities; from blind/deaf dogs, senior dogs, aggressive dogs, puppies/kittens, diabetic dogs and cats, and so many more. Each of them provides an invaluable experiences that teaches me patience, compassion, and communication. I’m now the proud owner of a 11 month old cat, Balrog, and of a 13 year old chihuahua, Mia. I do not currently own a dog or cat, but I volunteer with Our Companions in their Adopt a Shelter program spending time visiting and walking dogs in local shelters, and I have volunteered at their animal sanctuary in Ashford walking dogs. I enjoy using positive training techniques (treats and praise) to reinforce polite dog walking and attentive behaviors. I am comfortable walking dogs up to 70 lbs. I have recently retired, which gives me some flexibility, and I am participating in a Canine College dog training program. I love dogs, and I am looking for more opportunities to meet and spend time with dogs. I also enjoy cats and would be happy to house sit and/or walk your cat as well! My recent experiences with Our Companions Animal Sanctuary and Canine College programs are teaching me so much about being a pet guardian for different kinds of dogs. I am learning about dog body language and how to help engage dogs in enrichment, calming, and attention-game activities while in a home, in a yard, and on a walk. I have friends who own cats, and I enjoy getting to know them as well.
