“Alison and Robert did such an amazing job with my cat and gecko! They left long reviews of their visits and made me feel better about being away from my fur & not fur babies. They even stayed longer than I had them booked to give my cat extra pets and love. Def booking them again.”

“Adriana was a huge help to me in a last minute request. She was great with the pets and it was clear they were comfortable with her from the pics she sent me. Thanks so much!”

“Heather was great! She arrived on time for drop in visits and spent lots of time with our dog. Loved all the photos and updates she provided. Will definitely book her again!”

“Pam did an amazing job with my 3 kitties. She sent pictures with all of the updates, and was even able to win over the shy guy of the bunch. Will continue to book in the future.”

About: I have extensive experience with animals. I grew up with a dog in the home who I helped train and care for my entire life. Once I was a teenager, I pet sat for several neighbors and friends on a recurring basis as I was able to build meaningful relationships with their pets. I also volunteered at an animal shelter in college where I helped feed and bathe the animals. I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages (young ones who need extra support and older ones who might need medicines or extra guidance). Ultimately, I LOVE all animals and have always had a natural ease with them - so would love to help you take care of any or all of your pets :) I am a current PhD student so my schedule is very flexible through mid-July! I also have a car so I can make most schedules that your pets need work! Starting mid-July I will have more work responsibilities and will only be available for house sitting. I cannot offer boarding in my own home because my apartment is not pet friendly. When I house sit I am very respectful and clean of the space and I enjoy being able to stick to the typical routine of the pet as much as possible.
About: Hello, my name is Amanda! I grew up around all different types of animals ranging from dogs and cats to birds as my whole family are huge animal lovers! I even helped at a doggy daycare that my family owned some time ago.I originally started dog sitting for my family and friends and decided to branch out to help other animal lovers which brought me here on Rover! I currently 2 dogs.My dog Sadie as well as my dog other dog Libby, who are my world! I recently lost my other dog Gunner, who had doggie dementia so I have experience caring for older dogs that have special needs. When they're here ,your dogs will be treated just as how I treat my own , with lots of love and care. I have a 6 foot fenced-in yard as well as a doggie door so your dogs can go outside .I also walk my dogs everyday and would love to bring yours along if allowed . I eventually plan on going for my nursing degree later next year but am currently home most days.I currently work part-time as a home health aide 4 days a week for 4-6 hours each shift. My dad is with me for part of the year from winter to early spring . I have some experience in handling special requirements/and or medications as one of my own dogs had special needs and requires daily medication for her skin allergies . I also offer house sitting, drop ins and am able to do whatever is required to make sure everyone is taken care of and happy!
About: I was raised in a household with dogs. I have always been a lover of dogs, and have recently been considering getting one of my own. I have cared for friends and families dogs in the past, and promise your dog will be in good hands. I currently work m-f 9-5pm, however my job is very flexible. I have the option to work from home, and on days I do not work from home I have the flexibility to stop home throughout the day. I love to go for walks and enjoy the outdoors. I live close by to a dog park to take the pup to run around if that is something you are comfortable with. For cats, my own cats are very needy so I understand cats needing more attention that most people think/assume.
About: I have hands-on experience caring for dogs, including feeding, providing fresh water, and ensuring they get regular exercise through walks. I have looked after my friends dog on multiple occasions, taking responsibility for their daily needs and giving them plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. I’m actively looking to walk dogs as I enjoy walking them during the evening time. I’m a teacher so during school year, lm available 3 pm and onwards I am only offering dog walking service since I live in an apartment, it will be very difficult to take care of the dog here.
“Kilie was the best! She gave my kitties lots of attention and even Kingston who hides stayed out the last day Highly recommended. Thank you kilie , you’re our official cat sitter”

“Alyssa is doing a wonderful job with my anxious chihuahua! She has been so accommodating and has been willing to go slow to help him adjust. He usually takes many repeat introductions before he is ok with anyone new, but he absolutely adored her starting from the very first visit!”

“This was our second time booking Marisol and we are so glad she was available. Marisol is reliable, detail-oriented, and patient with our cats who can be shy and finicky. Her reports are always thorough, and the photo and video updates give us such peace of mind knowing our girls are well cared for. Your pets will be lucky to have Marisol to care for them!”

“Andrew was absolutely fantastic! He took care of my Loki for 15 days and I couldn't have asked for better service. He was incredibly reliable and flexible, which made my trip so much less stressful. Amazing service – 5 stars!”

About: I’ve taken care of numerous dogs breeds since I was a little kid. I use to care for farm animals on my grandmothers farm. I have 2 dogs currently & they are treated like spoiled children. I love animals, but especially dogs. Just seeing their face & wagging their tail brings a smile to my face. I am a school social worker, so I have summers off. I love animals and looking to make a little extra money this summer. I am flexible and eager to start meeting your furry friends. I take my two dogs out on leash everyday 3x a day minimum. My dogs eat twice a day and get lots of cuddles and play time. My dogs are my kids, they get to sleep in my bed, special toys and treats and all the lovings. I am happy to learn your animals routine and needs.
About: I grew up with a Rottweiler mix pup who became my best friend as a child. Understanding the importance of that relationship now is why I want to help others look after their pups. I currently have a 8 month old male border collie/ poodle mix who is my driving force. When we need assistance with him, we want someone who will love and care for him like we do when we’re away. I’m usually free on the weekends and understand a lot of people are busy and feel guilty leaving their pups home. Therefore I’m excited to be available on the weekends. I have safety gates inside the home at the bottom of the stairs to keep pups on one level. My backyard is partially fenced. We go on leashed walks around Onondaga Park in the Strathmore area.
“Meghan handled the visits and my cats excellently. I came home to two contented cats and knowing I was coming back at the end of the evening, Meghan cleaned up so I wouldn't have to. What a wonderful surprise. I was so grateful. I will ask her again to visit my cats.”

Jessie was phenomenal watching Keena! I highly recommend booking Jessie to care for your pets. The level of genuine, positive care Keena received was amazing. My original care plans fell through and Jessie was kind enough to accept my last-minute request. Not only was Jessie gracious enough to accept help me out, but Jessie came by to meet Keena and make her feel comfortable before watching her. Jessie gave many updates, sent photos, and was always playing with Keena during visits; clearly making her feel comfortable. Jessie also dealt with some fear issues my dog was having, and did everything possible to make Keena feel better. When I returned from my trip, Keena was wagging and happy as could be, which told me she was well taken care of while I was away!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Solvay with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
