“Sofia had great communication and updated me during every visit she had with my pug. Even though my dog can be stubborn when it comes to eating, she always made sure he ate and was taken care of.”

About: When I was 9, I got my first dog, and that is how I started to be interested in being a vet and take care of dogs. I’m a UCD Animal Science student. My class schedule is not very busy other than Thursdays for this quarter, so I will be home most of the time other than that. I have 3 roommates (2 are also Animal Science students) who also loves animals and knows how to take care of them and have experiences with pets. There will usually be at least 1-2 person at home always. We have plenty of space for your pet to run around in the house, and a yard which we can be taking the dog out for potty breaks.

“Crystal was great! I love love love her communication durning her visits. We even sent me photos and that comforted me while I was away from my fur babies. I can tell my dogs like her also.”
“Dina did a fantastic job taking care of our cat. She was very responsive and a great communicator. We felt confident our cat was in good hands and reassured by the detailed notes/photos provided.”

“We hired Jessica for a long weekend while we were on vacation. Jessica went above and beyond for our two cats and sent lots of pictures! I would highly recommend her and definitely book again!”

“Jessie is wonderful to have as our pet sitter! She communicates well and was so great with Oslo. She is totally trustworthy and we will definitely be calling upon her again!”

“Very punctual, attentive, kind, all the things. Because one of our three cats was undergoing a diet trial, the usual to-do list for our weekend away was a bit more complicated than average. She handled it just fine, no problems, and took some lovely pics to boot.”

About: I’ve taken care of dog for with more than 5 years. I personally have two dogs in the house which are 10 lbs and 30 lbs, both are low to medium energy. I’ve successfully trained 3 puppies in the past 5 years and also fostered senior dogs before for a rescue. For safety reasons, all the dogs will be separated when I’m out, and basic training can be provided if owner requests. Walks twice a day, no dog park trips unless owner requests for safety precautions. No human aggression is allowed, any growling/nipping/snapping for no reasons is not acceptable. If your dog is being too stressed among other dogs, I have separate room to place him/her, and he/she will get quality along time with human every day. Pictures and videos will be send out about 5-10 times/day. I’m a recent graduate at UC Davis, and currently WFH all day. I will walk dogs twice a day and give them bathroom break at least 4-5 times every day. I have a fenced yard in the house. All the dogs will be separated when I’m not at home for safety purposes. Anyone being too stressed will have a separate room for resting.
“Jenna was great! We had total confidence our puppy was in great hands from the moment we met her. She left a positive and detailed report card for us based on her visit which is helpful to have. Thanks Jenna!”

“My first time using Rover, was skeptical but everything went great with Olivia! She took great care of my pup and sent daily updates/pictures. Would highly recommend to anyone.”

About: Hi there! I'm a veterinary student and was a vet assistant with years of hands-on experience in animal care. I’ve also volunteered at the SPCA and caring for animals has always been my passion. I am currently in school, however I am available throughout the day and live near UC Davis. I’m dedicated to spend time with your pets, whether it’s daily trips to the park, walks, or hiking. I have two active, friendly dogs who would love to keep your pup company! With my background in veterinary medicine, I’m comfortable handling medical needs such as injections, administering oral medications, glucose checks, and more. Your pet’s health and happiness are my top priorities. I’m also big on communication! I’ll send you daily photo updates and keep you informed, so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and having fun. Looking forward to caring for your furry family member! I can take care of your pets any day of the week! I love caring for dogs and can dedicate my entire weekend to their care if needed. I am in and out of the house throughout the week due to school. And my schedule changes often. I am great with communicating and willing to be flexible with scheduling. I’m just a short walk away from a park, making it easy to give your pup plenty of fresh air, playtime, and exercise. I have a front and back yard, where your dogs have easy access to. Whether your dog loves a good game of fetch or just a stroll in the sun, I’ve got it covered! At home, your fur baby will be treated like part of the family, with lots of cuddles, love, and a comfy spot on the couch (yes, furniture is allowed!). I aim to create a stress-free, fun environment where your pet feels safe and right at home.
About: I have a wide range of dog experience. Puppies, seniors, reactive, and medicated ones. I am fear free certified and have taken many animal classes and animal behavior classes for my animal science major. Outside of a classroom setting I have worked in a shelter where I was a medical volunteer. This required me to work with dogs that I had no insight to a lot of the dog’s background and always stayed aware of their behavior. A lot of the bigger dogs I worked with were abused, abandoned, or injured and having to work with animals that have trauma like that is heartbreaking but also can affect their behavior towards people. That being said I had to work with dogs that were more challenging and more often than not were labeled aggressive but were actually just scared. I have house sat friends and families before and always send an absurd amount of photos to owners of their fur baby (that’s at least what I prefer) and I have no problem communicating any uncertainties, questions, or concerns to an owner. I would rather be safe than sorry always. I do not have a lot of senior care experience but would love to learn. I took care of a few cases where there were medications twice daily but I know there are more extreme senior care situations I won’t pretend to know how to do but I am eager to do my research and learn from the owner! Fairly flexible. I am a student and barista. My barista job is part time with the average shift lasting around 4 hours and the absolute most I could be scheduled for is 7hrs but that rarely happens. It is also a flexible job where I can get easy covers if needed or swap shifts. I take the better safe than sorry approach when caring for any pet whether it is someone else’s or my own. I will do my research on something I am unsure about which is the reason I have learned so much about my own pet’s compromised immune system. This is why I will not be housing any pets myself but I have practiced many different bio security measures and feel confident all animals will be safe and happy. I am a big communicator and if I have concerns questions or uncertainties I will not hesitate to just ask.
About: UC Davis Agriculture Environmental Education Major, Animal Science Coursework, Livestock Show Projects, UC Davis Hen and Goat Kid Intern, Veterinary, Handling and Care Volunteer Experience, I am currently a full-time student and intern. Both my schedules are very flexible and easy to adjust leaving lots of availability especially over weekends. My living area requires ID to enter and also has security available 24/7 with cameras. Most walking will be done on campus with large areas.
“Michelle took care of my 12-yr old pit bull mix and 5 yr old cat. Michelle was extraordinarily responsible, dedicated and loving! I'm not sure the animals wanted me to come home again :) I would give Michelle 10 stars if I could!”

Jessica and her daughters did a fantastic job taking care of my cats while I was away. She was reliable and communicative. Lily was absolutely wonderful! She cared for our four cats while we were away for 10 days and sent daily updates with photos that gave us total peace of mind. She was easy to reach, reliable, and a joy to work with. She even brought in our packages for us. I’d definitely hire her again and highly recommend her to anyone needing a loving, dependable pet sitter!

Adele was great with our two cats. They warmed up to her quickly. She was attentive and played with them, she communicated with us and responded quickly. She was friendly but still professional, and we highly recommend her to watch your pets. Adele is a wonderful pet sitter.
