About: Going out of town? Your dog will love our friendly Evanston home located near Lake Michigan beaches and forest preserves. We provide weekly adventures such as trips to the dog beach and pooch park, walks in the neighborhood, playtime in our fenced in backyard, and lots of love and attention. Why I love dog sitting I have had dogs in my family since I was born. I grew up in rural areas in the Midwest, and we always had at least one family dog of varying breeds. When I became an adult, I got a black lab puppy from my sister, who had rescued its mother while it was pregnant. I became very interested in dog training, reading any books I could get my hands on and applying their techniques. My lab, Asia, became the gentlest, most well-trained dog most people had ever met. We lost her at age 13; since then, we have always had a lab as a family pet and we have taken care of countless other breeds. About my yard We have a fenced back yard--it is a 6 foot fence around the perimeter with a 5 foot chain link fence between our yard and our friendly neighbor's yard. There is an open area where the dogs can roam freely, a concrete patio, and a vegetable garden that lines one side of the house between our yard and our neighbor's yard. Dogs are supervised by an adult when they are in our yard--we do not leave them unattended. The majority of your dog's outdoor time will be spent on walks and outings. I am a teacher, so I have weekends and holidays off. In addition, I have 2 young adults and a teen living with me who often help by cuddling and playing with our clients. We do not crate our clients unless upon request. Dogs are free to lounge on beds or furniture. No dog likes to be left behind, but we will do our very best to ease your pup's stress. I have over many years of pet boarding and training experience.

About: I currently have a 15 year old shitzu that I raised from a pup, and a 2 year old Pitt mix rescue that I've had for a year. Prior to the shitzu I had a 13 year old Rottweiler that I raised from a pup. I've dogsat for two special needs frenchies from time to time. I am currently unemployed giving me plenty of time to care for your fur baby. Having a very energetic Pitt has given me the opportunity to practice patience as we have learned together how to handle his insecurities.. My yard is fenced in—extra tall if you have a jumper like my pitt. I have 1 small and 2 large crates if your fur baby needs it. I have multiple dog beds and pet-welcome furniture.

About: I’ve been the owner of a pit bull/lab mix for 6 years. My doggie was definitely a trouble maker growing up, so I’m able to handle a lot of stress. I’ve house sat and watched my friends doggies countless times, and they always ask me whenever they need a pet sitter! I love love love doggies so much, so it’ll be amazing if I can get paid while spending time with them! I work 6am-3pm and after that I’m available to walk, baby sit, play with your doggies! I especially love long walks, and playtime with dogs! I always make sure that there’s a trust between me and the doggie first. I don’t want to make the dog overwhelmed so I let them sniff me first, and see how they react around me. If they are a little nervous and scared, I’ll try to ease them in with some treats or some pets. I always want to make sure they feel safe and secure.

It’s important to understand a pet’s tendencies. I’ve had clients share documents that provide feeding schedules, favorite toys, walking routes, things to avoid, etc. which really enhances the service provided for your pet/s.

About: Ive always had a uncanny love for dogs and animals! They seem to share it for me as well! Growing up I took care of a few pets at a time including cats and birds! I also spent a few years volunteering at animal Shelters and house-training different dog breeds. I love babying them and getting them hyper. I love all breeds from little tiny chihuahuas *attitude and all* all the way to bullies and big dogs, I understand and can manage breed behaviors. Rest assured I will baby them and buy them snacks! Bria was 14 when she passed in 1994, and Chloe recently passed in February of this year. She was almost 16. They were the best! Since I work out of my home, I'm typically there through-out the day, so you never have to worry about your dog being alone. I will always accommodate your dog's unique needs by following your instructions faithfully.
