“My cat really needs human attention but she's also pretty good at telling when a person isn't interested and gives up. If a person is pro-cat, she will lick and be adorable wanting to be held and petted...until she doesn't. She also likes some people more than others for reasons only cats know. My cat immediately loved Helen during the meet and greet. I could tell Helen can read how to handle her without crossing her "boundaries", and enjoys doing so. She followed drop-in instructions well and sent lots of cute pictures.”

“Janell has dropped in to take care of my puppy twice and she is awesome! She always arrives on time, follows instructions, writes notes to me about the visit, and takes pictures of my puppy to let me know he is okay. I really appreciate Janell’s thoroughness. Thank you Janell!”
About: I grew up with many dogs, and my dad’s favorite breed was the Central Asian Shepherd—those are huge! I also had a Husky, so I know firsthand how energetic they can be. More recently, I’ve gained experience walking a Pug, so I understand the needs of different breeds. I’d love to meet your dog, spend time with them, go on walks, play, feed, and give them all the love I have! I’m unemployed now, so I have a lot of time and energy for your pets. I’m tired of sitting home and want to have more activity in my life. Hope your pet will help me reliable pet care by ensuring your dog gets an enjoyable walk, your cat is well-fed, and your pets feel safe and comfortable in your home. As a cat owner myself, I understand the importance of a familiar environment, so I offer in-home sleepovers for your pets when needed, giving them the care and attention they deserve while you’re away.
“I LOVE Kristyna! A few years ago, she cared for my German Shepherd dog King, before his passing. And she did an amazing job! Recently, we booked her for our two new German Shepherds, Jax and Koda. Jax loves everyone, and of course, grew a liking to her quickly. However, Koda doesn’t give anyone a chance at a first meeting. Even though he’s a one year old 80 pound baby, he looks and can be very intimidating. But Kristyna was very patient with him. She eventually won him over, which says a lot about her care for animals. She is also very responsive and will go out of her way to help you. Our flight got cancelled at the last minute, and I contacted her in the late night to see if she was available to do one last visit. Kristyna did not hesitate to say YES! I am SO grateful and happy to add her to our family dynamics. Book her! You won’t be disappointed!❤️”

“It is my second time to book with Eva & Kallven and I can say that we feel more at ease knowing that Truman is in good hands. Will definitely book with them on a regular basis”

“Dameng is a truly wonderful person. Every time he came to check on our cat, he would take photos and videos to keep us updated on how the cat was doing. He was very easy to communicate with, and our cat quickly grew fond of him. If we travel again in the future, we’ll definitely ask Dameng to take care of our cat again. Thank you!”

“Caroline was very helpful and sweet when she watched my four pups. My previous sitter canceled on me just a week before my trip. When I found Caroline she was able to help me when others told me no. She even boarded my pups when she told me that she does not normally. Caroline and her husband sent me photos of my pups while I was away. Also she was very helpful when I had to come back early.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
