About: Hi! I'm Cat, and it is my literal pleasure to care for your dog, cat, lizard, bunny, or parrot! What you can expect from me: -Fast, clear, and concise executive-level communication. -Deep breed-specific knowledge of behavior underpinned by my time as a vet receptionist -High quality photos -Easy, flexible scheduling -Complete focus and attention to detail -Genuine joy and enthusiasm to care for your pet In my previous life, I was a design program manager within corporate tech (Meta, Comcast, Pinterest), and I'm thrilled and privileged to pivot into pet care. I have cared for dogs of every size, flavor, and temperament. I have extensive experience training dogs, and quite frankly, I've watched a whole lot of Westminster dog show. In particular, I have specialized experience with shy or nervous dogs and will provide them the space and understanding needed to relax and feel comfortable. I am happy to walk or jog to help burn canine energy. Not afraid to get down in the dirt and play! I have been deeply involved in cat rescue since 2020, when I began working remotely. I have fostered dozens of cats over the years. This includes kittens with complex medical issues. I am very capable at medicating cats and kittens as well as identifying when a cat may be feeling unwell. When you board with me, your pet will not be left alone for more than 1 hour. I only board pets from one household at a time and provide dedicated personal care. When your baby is at my house, they are family. Feel free to reach out with any additional questions. I'm currently working remotely doing project-based contract work, so I have plenty of availability and scheduling flexibility. If boarding or house-sitting, I will be fully available and no pet will be left alone longer than an hour. I have a friendly chihuahua mix (8 lbs) and 2 cats, but if needed, I have plenty of room to give everyone their own space. I have an unfenced backyard with plenty of room to romp. Dogs will always be leashed or tethered in yard.

About: Hi! I’ve been caring for dogs and cats since I was 12 years old, starting back in 2011 with dog walking and in-home sitting for cats and dogs. Over the years, I’ve gained experience with puppies, kitties, senior dogs/cats and managing multiple animals at once - so I’m comfortable with all animals/breeds, ages, sizes, and personalities. I’m a proud dog owner myself, with an American Staffordshire Terrier and a Golden Retriever/Lab mix, and I also grew up in a home with cats - so I’m well-rounded when it comes to pet care. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I truly believe they deserve patience, love, and the best care possible. I’m known for being punctual, reliable, and trustworthy, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your dog needs a quick walk, extra playtime, or your fur baby needs attentive in-home care, you can count on me to show up and provide a safe, happy experience every time. I work from home and am my own boss, which allows me to keep a very flexible and reliable schedule. I’m also a host of a sports podcast, and since I create and manage my own calendar, I’m able to easily accommodate pet care needs throughout the day. Every morning, I start my day with a two-mile walk with my own pup, so caring for dogs is already a built-in part of my daily routine. Because I’m in full control of my time, I’m dependable, punctual, and able to give consistent attention to every pet I care for. I provide attentive, personalized care in both my clients’ homes and through scheduled walks and visits, depending on the service needed. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible - following feeding instructions, maintaining walk or play schedules, refreshing water, and giving plenty of love, attention, and companionship while they’re away. I also make sure their space stays clean and comfortable, and I always prioritize safety and respect for the home. For walks and drop-in visits, I focus on exercise, enrichment, and engagement tailored to each pet’s personality and energy level. Whether it’s a long walk, playtime, or quiet companionship for more shy or senior pets, I adjust my care to meet their needs. I treat every pet like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for at all times.

About: I have hands-on experience working with animals through both therapy dog work and my previous experience as an assistant to a veterinary technician. This has given me a strong understanding of animal behavior, health, and how to handle pets with care, patience, and confidence. I’m comfortable supporting pets with different needs and always focus on making them feel safe, calm, and well cared for. Working from home allows me to be a consistent, calming presence for your pet throughout the day whether at my home or yours. I truly enjoy spending that time with them—whether it’s going on walks, giving them attention, or just being nearby so they don’t feel alone. I know every pet is different, so I follow their lead and make sure they feel comfortable and secure, whether they’re full of energy or prefer a more relaxed, quiet routine. I keep your pet’s routine consistent while providing attentive care, companionship, and a calm presence. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or quiet time, I adapt to their needs and make sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I am also a photographer which could lead to getting some great photos while you are away!

About: As a lifelong animal lover and pet parent to four rescue dogs, I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give to every animal as if they were my own. I have hands-on experience caring for senior dogs, including my 14-year-old blind Boston Terrier, which has given me patience, compassion, and an understanding of the extra care some pets require. I am also comfortable administering medications and following detailed care instructions to help pets stay happy, healthy, and comfortable while you’re away. Whether your pet loves playtime, long walks, cuddles on the couch, or simply sticking to their usual routine, my goal is to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy. I work full-time at a local high school as the Principal’s Secretary, with regular hours ending at 1:30 PM during the school year and 1:00 PM during the summer, which allows me plenty of time for afternoon, evening, and overnight pet care. I am available for drop-in visits, walks, feeding, medication administration, and companionship before and after work, and I am happy to provide overnight stays when needed so your pets can maintain their routine and have company for longer periods of time. Weekends are generally wide open, allowing me to dedicate even more time and attention to your pets. My goal is always to provide dependable, loving care that gives both you and your pets peace of mind while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow feeding schedules, provide fresh water, administer medications if needed, and make sure pets get the exercise, playtime, and attention they’re used to receiving. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playing fetch, cuddling on the couch, or simply having someone nearby, I adjust my care to fit their individual needs and personality. I understand that every pet is different, so I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and any special instructions you provide. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away, while also giving you peace of mind through dependable and attentive care.

About: With a lifetime of experience living with dogs, I am confident around them. I own two medium large dogs that love their lifestyle. "Wow, he/she doesn't usually like men!" is something I've heard a lot from people when I meet their dog. It takes patience to learn a dog's communication style, but when they feel understood they do everything they can to express themselves. When they feel comfortable with my ability to successfully communicate they trust me. I've dog sat for friends, but this time in my life I can do more. I'm mostly finished with professional career life. I'm writing the great American novel instead now. I walk my dogs twice a day and go on hikes on weekends where they're allowed. Dogs are the secret to a peaceful mind. Respectful of space and privacy, I'm here for your dogs because I have dogs. I'd want someone who cares about dogs to care for mine when I'm not there.

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and have rescued and cared for several over the years. Caring for animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy and take seriously. I have experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, large breeds, anxious dogs, and pets with medical needs, including administering oral medications and injections. My wife is a great support and shares the same passion for animals. She’s a marine biologist and she's worked in animal hospitals, farms, and wildlife rehabilitation centers, adding another layer of knowledge and experience to the care we provide. I believe every dog is unique, so I take the time to understand their personality, routine, preferences, and any special needs to help them feel comfortable and at home. I’m an Athletic Trainer and have Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays off. My wife has a flexible work schedule and is home most of the time. Between the two of us, someone is almost always home, so dogs are rarely left alone for more than two hours. Because I only accept a limited number of dogs at a time, each guest receives plenty of individualized attention, playtime, affection, and care throughout the day. My home is quiet, fully fenced, and designed to help dogs feel safe and comfortable. There are no children or resident pets, allowing me to provide a calm environment and plenty of one-on-one attention. Dogs are welcome on the furniture, have clean dog beds throughout the house, and can even sleep with us if that’s what they’re used to at home. I send daily photo and video updates, and you’re always welcome to message me anytime. Several veterinary hospitals and clinics are within a 5-minute drive if veterinary care is ever needed.

About: Ever since I was a little girl I have always been surrounded by extra love from my pets. I cannot imagine my life without any of my furbabies that I’ve had the honor of loving and caring for along the way. Both my dog, Champ and my cat, Shea currently have my heart. They are the absolute best of friends. I’m inseparable from my dog. He is an Akita-Husky mix who recently just celebrated his 12th birthday. When I’m not at work teaching, I’m usually bringing him on adventures. From strolls through Port Jefferson, to hiking upstate to road trips to Connecticut, he has definitely become quite the explorer. It is my hope to be able to meet your four-legged family member and to help put your mind at ease knowing your furbabies are safe and cared for :) I’m currently a teacher and off for the summer so I have plenty of time to care for your fur babies as much as you need :) Your trust is the most important thing to me. I will ensure you home is found exactly how you left it while also ensuring your pet is in the best hands possible! :)

About: I’ve been around dogs for basically my whole life and I’ve always loved animals. I’ve been taking care of my own pets- walking, feeding, bathing, training, etc- for as long as I can remember. More recently I’ve taken care of friends pets while their owners are away- including dogs, cats, and a bunny. In these instances I was responsible for checking in on the pets a few times a day to feed them, let them outside, refill water, and give them lots of love and attention. I have also volunteered to dog walk at a few local shelters. I’m currently home from college for the summer and I have a lot of free time. I have a few short trips that are blocked out on my calendar and should be available otherwise. When walking dogs I try to always be aware of my surroundings and be on the lookout for cars, other dogs, or wild animals. My own dog can be a bit sneaky and is a big chewer so I know how important it is to be vigilant when watching dogs. I’ve also had a reactive dog in the past so I’m confident in my abilities to distract and remove a dog from a hostile situation. I’m always interested in learning more about proper pet care and have spent time researching pet safe foods and activities for my own pets. My goal is always to give a pet the best care possible.

I have a lot of experience with my own pets from chihuahuas to pit bulls to bunnies and even hedgehogs. I help out my family and friends with pet sitting and I always treat like my own. I’m comfortable with preparing food, medications, walking, and caring for any breed of furry friend. My dogs also suffer from sever allergies so i’m aware of the perception’s and care that needs to be taken with pet allergies. I’m a Junior at the University of Michigan home for the summer looking to help out your furry family. I’m available most days of the week in mornings and afternoons! I love taking my dog outside to get some nice fresh air and she loves a game of fetch. Since my dog does have severe allergies I prepare her food from scratch for breakfast and dinner!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
