I have had cats my whole adult life and fell in love with dogs while spending time with my siblings' dogs. I am now a fully converted dog lover who hopes to get my face licked by every passing puppy. Down-to-earth Midwest woman with lots of common sense. I was a homeowner for almost 25 years. I am not one of those people who looks at my phone constantly so your pet will get my attention, not just my presence. On long walks I may listen to a book on tape or podcast with only one ear bud so I am always situationally aware. No substance use or bad habits other than knitting and chocolate. Christina was fantastic in both her communication, cleanliness respectfulness of the house, and (most importantly) looking after our 3 cats. In speaking with her prior to the visit and her care during the housesit, as well as all the pictures and videos we received while we were away, Christina was the perfect person to take care of our fur babies. I am available for day-time visits, or overnight care. Digital nomad so I am around a lot during the day, with a flexible schedule so I can meet your pet's needs first. I will keep tabs on them, put reminders for scheduled events on my phone, and check in with them frequently outside of scheduled care, and will contact the pet owner with any and all questions. I'm good at reading their cues, love to snuggle and play, I'm happy to have them sleep with me if they prefer. I'm strict about following owner's rules and instructions. I prefer to learn a little bit about your pet's personality, quirks, likes and dislikes to provide better care--and so I can tell quickly if something is a bit off. I will communicate with you as much or little as you like, happy to send pictures. I like to be able to ask questions to make sure that I understand your pet and its needs as well as your house and its needs.

I work full-time during the day, but I am available after 4pm on weekdays and all day on weekends for your furry friend's needs. About: I’ve always loved animals of all shapes and sizes, and that was reflected in my many pets growing up, dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, rabbits, you name it! I worked at Mounds Pet Food Warehouse where I became more familiar with socializing with nervous or anxious animals, as well as learned a lot of helpful animal information! I also have experience pet-sitting both cats and dogs! I’m great at communication, and I’m very friendly and flexible! I’m currently unemployed as I’m waiting for my summer job to start! About: Eric and Rachel share a love for their beloved Aussie-beagle Lilo and fostering rescue dogs together. We know that it is never easy to leave your beloved dog with someone new, and in a new place. As our own Lilo has struggled with separation anxiety before, we know how important it is to have a pet sitter who is present, patient, and able to cater their care towards a dog’s specific needs. Rachel has taken care of 6 different family dogs growing up, including a border collie, golden retriever, Boston terrier, 2 mixed breeds and a silky terrier. Eric has taken care of his family dog (chihuahua mix) since birth till now (9 years old). Together, we have fostered 12 rescue dogs these past two years, ranging from high energy Great Pyrenees to 3 Border Collie puppies all at once, to a completely afraid and anxious Beagle mama and Shiba Inu mama that are recovering from very difficult situations. We have also looked after a Rhodesian Ridgeback and an American pit bull. Our own dog is a 2.5 year old Aussie-beagle. We both have lots of experience working with dogs of all kinds of temperaments and needs, especially high energy dogs who require a lot of attention and care, and administering medication to dogs who have special needs. Rachel also loves cooking her home cooked meals for her dog, and can do that for yours too, if you need! We both work from home and have all weekends free. Our flexible schedules together allows us to bring dogs regularly on walks and to look after them consistently. We follow instructions really well, and can take care of your dog according to your requirements. We allow dogs to roam and sleep freely in our home, but we can also crate your dog easily if you prefer. We know how to work with your dog with lots of gentle care and love.
