Caring for my elderly cat (lived to be about 21!) has given me great experience with being an even more selfless and responsible pet caretaker. I’m comfortable giving cats medicine and even IV fluid injections.

I know cats appreciate respect and boundaries, so I let them come to me. I start with getting things like food and water out of the way, and then once they see I am there to provide for them, I hang out for a while to see if they want attention. I typically bring a book with me so I can “make myself at home” and give cats the space to approach me. If they’re on my lap, I’m not leaving until they hop off!

Alyssa took great care of Alice! She communicated clearly and thoughtfully, and the place looked great when I came back. It seems that they took a shine to each other, which is awesome. I would definitely hire Alyssa again.
Alyssa is a rare human that my cat likes and will come up to her right away. It’s worth it to book Alyssa because I trust her in my home and she takes good care of my cat while I’m gone. Five out of five.
I knew Alyssa was going to be the perfect pet sitter for my two kitties when I first met her and she was super cuddly with my little gray boy. But when she sent not only photos but a video which featured my very nervous, very reclusive gray tuxedo girl my first impressions were confirmed! Alyssa was wonderful. I trusted her with my precious buddies and in my home and will definitely trust her in the future!

My cat is very shy when I'm not around, but Alyssa does a great job of working within her comfort zone, and almost always gets my girl comfortable enough to come out for some attention and play time!

Schedule
I work full-time in daily news so I do have some deadlines to adhere to. But I am able to work remotely and am flexible to accommodate pet care. Wifi info is appreciated so I can bring work with me if needed.
