This was our first extended time away since adopting Finn where a friend or relative (usually his grandma) was not available to cat-sit so we were pretty nervous how all of this would work. Finn is extremely nervous with new people and even with ones he’s met a few times. But Finn absolutely loved Vanessa as her photos and videos easily showed. Within her first visit, she had photos of him rolling over to show his belly - the ultimate sign that he was so comfortable with her. We really appreciated Vanessa’s communication with us during the entire process. There is a 100% chance we will hire her again. About: I grew up in a household with a minimum of us having 3 dogs at a time, ranging from 4 lb to 150 lb (shorkie/ irish wolfhound)! I'm a travel nurse in the area, and can't travel with pets, looking to spend some of my free time loving on animals. Along with having dogs growing up, we typically always had a cat or 2 to snuggle up with! I currently work 3 12 hours shifts in a week at the hospital. I do mostly night shift, however some day shifts. I typically have 4 days a week that I can spend watching your furry loved one! Since I am here on a travel nurse assignment, I am unable to watch your pet in my airbnb rental. This profile is for drop ins/ walking :)

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was around 5 years old. I grew up in the country in Texas and at one point we had around 20 cats and 9 dogs. We took care of the strays that made their way onto our property, and sometimes adopted from shelters and random people. I was taught love and compassion for animals since I was a young child. I continue to embrace the kindness I have in my heart for animals everyday. I’m usually available most of the time, as I don’t have any full time work to tend to. I also do not celebrate holidays which can benefit pet owners very much because they can count on me being available as long as I have not already booked with someone else. I would be wonderful to your pup insuring they get enough potty breaks, walks if you would like, maybe the dog park upon your approval, and even car rides if you’d like! I offer complimentary treats.. I keep some in my home. And of course I would get them approved by my client first. For cats in my clients home, I would do the same things. I would also insure the cat box is clean, and lots of play time if that’s what the kitty likes :-)

About: Former member of UNC-Chapel Hill Puppy Raisers, a student-led organization that works with puppies in partnership with Ears Eyes Nose and Paws of Chapel Hill on their journey to becoming service animals. I’m currently working part time, so very flexible with the times and days that I am available to help out with your cats or dogs! I have no pets currently so full attention will be devoted to your animal! I have grown up with dogs my entire life and feel comfortable handling all sizes and breeds.

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was old enough to know what a pet was, whether it’s my own, a neighbor’s, or a friend/family member’s. I love animals, and am considering going into vet work! I have experience with both puppies/kittens and seniors as well :). I can walk, feed, give meds, and do anything you need! I’m a full-time student during the week, but I will always have time to drop-in, or stay overnight. I’m very flexible with my scheduling, so I will happily do whatever you and your pet need! While I can’t offer boarding at my home because I have four roommates, I will care for pets in every way possible no matter what! I know some nice parks for walks, and I’m also happy to chill if they’re a homebody! Again, entirely up to you and your pets needs :)

About: I have been around dogs most of my life. More than 6 years ago I rescued my dog, Ronda from Paws Chicago and she brings me lots of joy throughout all of our adventures! I will treat your dog just like mine! I have a very flexible schedule and can be available for walks and drops in throughout the day! You name the time and place and I’ll be there! About: I have taken care of my family and friends pets for many years. I try my best to understand the pets energy that they display and follow any directions given by the owner that makes the pet feel comfortable and safe. I work as a baker so I have several days where I am done with work either by 11 AM or 1 PM. I am also occasionally available all day on Fridays. I respect the directions given by the owner and try my best to understand the energy given by the pet I am sitting. I do not want to cross any boundaries that make the pet feel unsafe. I am patient with pets and try my best to make them feel comfortable and loved.

About: I’m a dog parent to two Pomskys and love all furry friends! I grew up on a farm and have had dogs my entire life. I’ve worked with high energy breeds such as huskies and hunting dogs. I am an educator and have summers off so I’m available during June and July throughout the week. I’m available nights/weekends during the school year. I have experience making even the most timid dogs feel at ease. I do not watch dogs at my own home but will happily do drop in visits or walks. I am an avid runner so if you have a high energy dog I’m happy to take them for runs as well.

“Hillary was excellent! My cat is extremely wary of anyone new. With most sitters he wont come out of the closet or from under the bed. He came all the way downstairs with Hillary there and it was my first time using her services. I did the 30 min visits. She did everything perfectly with food etc and went above and beyond. She reached out to me to ask how to turn the show on my tv back on that I'd left for my cat, and she put it on. I didn't even have to ask. She kept in contact very well and sent pictures, so I felt safe being away from home. , When I returned he was a lot less upset than he usually is with this length of away time. Hillary knows a lot about cats, and anyone who watches Jackson Galaxy will appreciate that she does too and knows all that info. If you have a shy cat that doesn't warm up to people quickly, or any kind of slightly more difficult cat, I highly recommend this sitter.”

About: I’ve been hired by members of my community to, dog sit, walk, and accompany pups on overnight stays in the past up to 3 dogs at a time. I’m committed to caring for your pet like a member of your family! I grew up with dogs my entire life and I want to expand my personal network! Weekends free when I am in town! Expanding my dog sitting network! On quiet weekends I like take the pup(s) on neighborhood walks. Week days I work hybrid in Verona so my check in availability is limited to a close proximity to the office. With new clients I usually schedule an in person meet-up to get introduced to your pet and get to know your preferences for feeding, outdoor potty time, toys, sleeping arrangement, house sitting requests, exit and entry to your home, medications, etc. I follow written and verbal directions with care. For home check ins I will briefly check your home to make sure things are as you left them. I check your pets water supply and give them adequate snuggle or play time indoors and outdoors before leaving locking entry and exit ways.
