About: I've taken care of dogs since I was a child. I owned two Miniature Pinschers growing up and I adopted one Australian Shepherd mix that has special needs as an adult. I trained all of my dogs from the time they were puppies until they passed away as seniors. I also volunteered at the Humane Society of Westchester. I've always enjoyed being around animals since I was young and animals tend to feel the same way about me. Animals who are usually timid around strangers are comfortable around me right away and they seem to trust me right away. I feel like connecting with animals (dogs specifically) is a gift that I have. Being a sitter is a great way for me to use that gift in everyday life. I'm able to adapt to the normal routine of the pets that I'm sitting in order to make the process as smooth as possible. I don't have a lot of room in my studio apartment so I'm only able to watch either 1-2 small dogs or one medium sized dog. Large dogs are too big for my apartment. If I'm at a client's home, I'll change my schedule to meet the needs of the pet. I believe all animals are unique and all have different needs in order to thrive in the environment that they're in. I'm willing to meet those needs by building my schedule around the animals that I'm sitting.

About: I have been an animal lover my whole life, but didn’t truly realize my appreciation for them until high school when I started pet sitting (over ten years ago!) I would watch my friends’ pets when they were on vacation, and felt compelled to make the pets’ stay with me a vacation as well 🐶😊. Since I started watching dogs I always considered them my PIC (partner in crime.). I take them with me on all my adventuress! They meet all my family and friends, and I have even taken a dog on a weekend trip to Block Island (with owners permission of course!) These days, I am home most of the day. I have a small business, which I run out of my home. I am home for majority of the day, but often have to step out for no more than 2 hours at a time. I typically give dogs 2 long walks (30-40 minutes) a day, and take them out in the yard and small walks down the street at least 5 times a day. They get potty breaks every 2-3 hours. I am a VERY active person. I am a marathon runner and avid hiker. No matter what your dog’s activity level is, I will be sure to tucker them out🐶😂. My typical morning and evening walk for dogs is a mile and a half around the reservoir trail in my back yard. I am more than happy to adjust to match your dog’s needs. I live on a small private street. My family and dear neighbors are all nearby. My large yard, close knit community, woods, reservoir trails and loving family truly is a paradise for dogs🐶😊❤️ My schedule varies every day. I can be in and out throughout the day, but never away from home for more than 2-3 hours at a a time. I am typically home for the day by 3pm. Some days I am home all day! It really depends on the week. I live alone and have no pets. I live in a private street with lots of land to explore. I never take dogs off leash when we are outside.

Guest cats stay in their own private room with fresh food, water, and a clean litter box. For dog walking I keep things low stress, consistent, and fun. Guest cats are kept in their own private, dedicated room completely separate from my resident pets, giving them a quiet space to decompress and settle in at their own pace. For dog walking I keep things calm and consistent, always on leash, through the safe residential streets of Yorktown Heights or local parks where my dog frequents himself. I pay close attention to each animal's personality and adjust my approach accordingly. Whether a pet is social and energetic or shy and cautious, I make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. Betty, Nancy,and Weeza have a fun and safe outdoor fenced in space, full run of our "Pooch-Proof" home. There are plenty of toys, bed, love, and treats ( as many as your pet parents allow) including fresh homemade jerky. For many years we shared our home with Lucy who was a diabetic rescue We educated ourselves on her special needs including insulin injections. We would love to have your Fur baby/babies over for a playdate or a sleepover. They will receive love and care just as if they were at their "Grammy's" house. I am available 24/7 for day stay or extended stay. I am fully retired and available to give you piece of mind when you are away from your furry friend. Our rescues are part of our family. About: I’ve taken care of my childhood dog from puppy to senior. I enjoyed training and grooming my puppy and making my senior dog a power bowl. I am a very active person - a hiker, marathoner, boxer, and cyclist, I can exhaust your furry babies however they want! And I particularly have a good sense of reading animal behavior, meaning if your dog needs a therapist, I am a very good listener;) I currently work flexible hours, so I have plenty of time to give your furry babies attention any time of the day. About: I grew up in a dog-centric household, however I have taken care of my own dogs for the past 19 years. For the last 8 years, I've had the opportunity to foster dogs through different organizations, as well. It has been an extremely rewarding and educational experience with regards to learning about a multitude of different dogs and how best to deal with different dog personalities and what their mannerisms indicate. The foster dogs that I cared for ranged from puppies to senior dogs and included numerous different breeds. I've had dogs that were incredibly easy, as well as ones that were particularly difficult and high maintenance. These experiences have made me open to taking care of all types of dogs; I'm happy to help administer medicine, eye drops, insulin injections, etc. I've experienced it all! My schedule is flexible because I'm currently based from my home. This basically means that I'm available to provide care in whatever capacity needed beginning from late morning until the evening and any day Whenever a dog is my responsibility I make a point of giving them the care and attention that they require. I'm available to walk any pup beginning from late morning into the evening, including multiple times a day. I currently live in a house with 3 acres and a huge back yard with forest surrounding it, so it is not fenced. However, I'm more than happy to walk your dog if there's a fear that they will run into the forest. I'm also open to dog-sitting for anyone going on vacation! Our house is set up to accommodate dogs visiting and staying due to my previous fostering, which is how I came to have my two current dogs. Also, I'm a firm believer in positive reinforcement to teach dogs acceptable behavior and manners, so no punishments that may traumatize or hurt the pup!

Your dog will be staying in a family style boarding situation, where they get the love and attention from myself, my husband and our 2 children (7 and 10) who adore helping out with all the pups. We have a large fenced in back yard for lots of supervised running, playing and sniffing! I am trained in obedience training and can provide puppy socialization. Dogs have free reign in my home and plenty of toys to play with. I work from home full-time, so your pup will have constant care while he or she is here.
