“This was our very first time boarding our 1 year old rottie-mix, Howie. I picked Derek because he lives very close to us, and said he lets his dogs sleep in his bed with him and Howie could join in if he wanted! Then we met Derek, saw his big yard and we were sold! Derek is dog person through and through. He sent us tons of photos. He treated Howie like he was his own dog. We feel very lucky to have found Derek and he’ll definitely be the one to board Howie again when we need it. Thank you Derek!! I swear Howie is more well behaved since he stayed with you!”

“Megan was a lifesaver for a last minute watch due to my pup who needed a calm place to rest her healing leg while I traveled for work. She was extremely flexible and understanding. She kept me posted on my pup each day, sent pictures of her and took extra care to try to keep her calm. Although they didn’t get to play and go on adventurous walks, Piper was happy. I would highly recommend!”

“Michael has been so wonderful with our Tiny Tim. Tiny loves going over to Michael’s house when we have something going on for the day. We will always use Michael as long as he still in the business.”

About: Hi! I’m a Registered Nurse, a dog lover, and the proud dog mom to Mr. Puppers, I work at home full time, and take frequent walks. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I work from home, so I’m able to plan my day around frequent potty breaks, walks, meals, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day. I’m very structured and attentive to routines, which helps pets feel comfortable and secure. Caring for my own dog, Mr. Puppers, is already part of my daily schedule. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Sheffield Lake
Derek is an excellent communicator! We are so thankful to Derek for taking such great care of our pup, Mango, while we were away for a week. We had a hard time finding the right dog sitter and did several meet-and-greets before we found Derek. He made us feel comfortable and confident that Mango would be in good hands. On the first day we dropped Mango off, I was honestly so anxious because it was our first time leaving her with a new dog sitter. But Derek immediately started sending us updates and photos throughout the day. It almost felt like we were never away from our pup. Throughout the entire week, Derek consistently kept us updated with pictures and messages. One day, he even prepared a fresh batch of poached walleye for his dogs and included Mango in their special “culinary experience.” It was such a thoughtful and fun surprise, and it showed how much he genuinely cares for every dog in his care. When we picked Mango up, she was so happy, and it was obvious she had an amazing time with Derek and his sweet dogs, Emma and Ruthie. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares for your pet and keeps you informed every step of the way, I highly recommend Derek. Thank you again for taking such wonderful care of Mango we’re so grateful!

Ralph was amazing, he accommodated our girls and treated them as if they were his own. He ensured that they were the only clients he had during their stay to make sure they were comfortable. He sent so many photos and made sure that we knew that were well cared for during their first stay with him. There was no doubt. Our large breed is shy and after our first meet and greet, she warmed up to Ralph so easily and she does that with no one. He has a way with animals that makes them feel so comfortable. I would highly recommend Ralph but I would like to be able to book him in the future 😉
