“Our schedule was erratic and included my mistake in scheduling. Sima and her family were gracious hosts and worked with our schedule. I received updates on how our doggo was doing everyday. It has been a pleasure working with them, I would definitely consider them next time we are in town.”

“Wow! Krista is just fantastic. We’ve used several Rover sitters over the years and she is hands down the absolute best. Clear communication, flexible, great house and yard. Our dog had some special needs and she managed to listen to all of our laundry list of instructions. Plus, her dog Griffin is so well tempered and got along so well with our dog. They played every day. I picked my dog up to spend about an hour with him and when I brought my dog back to Krista’s, his tale was wagging like crazy just to get back into her home! And my dog has pretty intense separation anxiety! Krista is a true “dog person” and has the intuition and experience to take great care of your pup.”

“Tamara was an excellent sitter for my little dog! I will definitely book her in the future! I'm not sure my dog even wanted to come home. She was comfortable there from the get go! Tamara also went above and beyond when my dog grabbed a chicken bone thrown in the grass.”

“Gina took good care of our 1yr old puppy - took her on lots of walks, fun outings to breweries, and play times for our energetic girl. Gina was very easy to work with for us as well. She was flexible with drop-off and pick-up times, and went out of her way to coordinate a pick up time when we left some of Lilah's stuff behind.”

“Coco is so happy to have friends at Amy's . Amy is such a great sitter. We never worry about her and she is always good when we pick her up. I highly recommend Amy for a safe, reliable sitter.”

“Adisyn watched my pup for 3.5 days and did an awesome job. Got photo updates once a day and she let me know how he was settling in. Also, with my pup being 80lbs and pretty strong I was slightly nervous as this was my first experience- Adisyn quelled that for me and my dog did great and was happy to be with other pups. Very happy about the experience.”

“Coralee and her family welcomed Baxter and he loved being there. I was concerned because Baxter has a health issue that he has to get pill 3 times a day and I was worried that he wouldn't take them but Coralee said he took them like a champ. I would highly recommend Coralee”

“Audrey took such good care of our frenchie Louie!! Daily updates, photos, and videos. She took him out on lots of walks and treated him as her own!”

“Amanda and Jack were absolutely amazing! My girl, Onyx, had an issue with her elbow, and they handled the situation with incredible care, compassion, and professionalism. They kept me updated with photos throughout her stay, which gave me tremendous peace of mind, and they even took her on a nature hike so she could enjoy some time outdoors. It's clear they genuinely care about the animals they look after. I highly recommend Amanda's services and wouldn't hesitate to trust them with Onyx again!”

About: Hi there! I absolutely love dogs and have been around them my entire life—from family dogs and friends’ pups to volunteering at local shelters. I currently don’t have a dog of my own, so dog walking and pet sitting is the perfect way for me to get my puppy fix! I’ll treat your pup like my own and make sure they get plenty of love, attention, exercise, and cuddles. 🐾 I currently work from home and live an active lifestyle, so I love getting outside for a long afternoon walk. I would absolutely love to have your pup join me! Whether they need a quick walk or some extra exercise and attention during the day, I’d be happy to give them plenty of love and company while you’re away. I currently don’t offer boarding or daycare in my own home. I prefer to take the time to get to know each dog and their demeanor first so I can make sure they feel comfortable and safe in my care. When caring for your pup in your home, I’ll treat them like they’re my own! I’ll keep them active with long walks, play with them, and give them plenty of love, attention, and comfort while you’re away. My goal is for your dog to feel happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re gone.
“Ashley was very responsive in a last minute scenario. She made it seamless and was a great find for us. She sent photos and was available at all times. Highly recommended.”

“Nelia and Brett were GREAT! We have a very energetic dog and they made us feel so comfortable leaving him for 4 days with their family. Nelia sent me pictures everyday showing us know how much fun Nipsey was having. I know they treated him like family and that made us so happy. We will be having them watch Nipsey again in the future and recommending them to our family and friends. Thank you again Nelia and Brett!”

“The host was welcoming and warm. She kept me updated on how Jake was doing and sent pictures along as well. She has a big yard and the weather was great, so I found this host to be really good.”

“Christy took great care of our dog! She was flexible to our schedule and sent us updates on how our pup was doing while we were away. Christy lives right by a huge park and we could tell our dog had a wonderful time playing with her during our trip.”

“Aubrey took amazing care of my girls!! She sent plenty of pictures, and followed my care instructions perfectly! The girls had a great time with her! Definitely will be back if I have to be out of town again! Thank you Audrey for being a fantastic sitter!”

“Jessica was wonderful with our dog, Primrose! Primrose really enjoyed playing with her dog. And she was totally spoiled all weekend. Jessica sent me lots of pictures and videos throughout the weekend, reassuring us that Primrose was happy. We will definitely trust Jessica to care for her in the future!”

“Our anxious dog stayed with Joe over Fourth of July weekend (a hard time for anxious dogs!). We were nervous to leave her because in the past we have had someone watch her at home, but Joe helped her settle in and get comfortable. We appreciated the photos and updates over the weekend-- she clearly had fun with her new friends. Thanks, Joe!”

“Carol and her whole crew of pups are wonderful! She took to my two pups like they were her own! We could relax on our vacation knowing they were in the best hands. Thank you!!”

“We felt confident leaving Willow with Jessica that she would be well taken care of and loved. Jessica kept us up to date with pictures and Willow looked the princess she believes she is. She definitely made herself at home. We will definitely use Jessica again when we go away. Robin Harvey”

“Elizabeth is amazing! Our dog stayed with her for a week and she took him on walks, gave him lots of love, sent the best photos and updates, and gave him his prescription medication he was on. She is professional and great to communicate with, and incredible with dogs. It was our first time away from him and we had been nervous to leave him, but we felt confident knowing he was with Elizabeth.”

Audrey was absolutely wonderful! She took great care of Mocha and Bear, and we couldn’t have been happier. She kept us updated with pictures, which we really appreciated. Both dogs were happy and well cared for, and we felt completely at ease knowing they were in good hands. Audrey is super easygoing, and the whole experience was stress-free. We’ll definitely be booking with her again! ❤️

Elizabeth has been watching our dog Lilah from when she was a small annoying puppy, to now as a grown up and less annoying dog. Elizabeth is very patient with her, and does a good job of positively redirecting Lilah's endless energy. We can tell that Lilah loves staying with Elizabeth and her dog, Sonder -she jumps out of the car with excitement every time she sees Elizabeth approaching.

Brad and Jenny were fantastic with our 5 year old pup Ruby! We could see the happiness and care they gave our girl in the updates, photos, and communication throughout the stay. Peace of mind is what you want for your fur baby when you are away and they did that! I didn't know if Ruby wanted to leave she was having such a nice time! We are so happy we found this gem of a Rover sitter and can't wait to book again!

Matthew took such great care of our dog, Alfie. This was our first time leaving our dog with someone other than family and everything went smoothly. Matthew sent us pictures and updates and took Alfie on fun adventures/walks which we really appreciated. I highly recommend Matthew!

Sam was the BEST sitter for our golden retriever. We laughed because when we dropped our dog off, she didn’t even look back to say bye- she was so excited and immediately felt safe and happy with Sam. Sam sent us pictures all weekend and kept us very informed on her care. We will definitely use Sam for pet sitting in the future and are so lucky to have found her.

Maxwell was the best sitter for our corgi Oscar we could possibly ask for. He bonded with Oscar instantly and we could tell from afar how much care and love Maxwell puts into caring for his guest-pets. He was extremely communicative online both before and during the sitting that it reassured us he was being taken care of so well with photos to accompany. Maxwell also just comes across as a very positive and friendly person, so know that your animal is in the best care. We feel lucky Oscar was able to stay with him and will definitely recommend him again in the future. The best sitter we’ve had so far on Rover. He went above and beyond and even took Oscar for doggy ice cream! Thanks Maxwell!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Sharpsburg home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Sharpsburg.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Sharpsburg sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
