Our dog had some special needs and she managed to listen to all of our laundry list of instructions. Plus, her dog Griffin is so well tempered and got along so well with our dog. They played every day. I picked my dog up to spend about an hour with him and when I brought my dog back to Krista’s, his tale was wagging like crazy just to get back into her home! About: I have always had cats in my home and enjoyed caring for other people's cats while they are away. I am happy to administer medication or any other extra needs your cats have. I tune in to your pets body language and behaviors to meet them where they're at and love them like my own
“We HIGHLY recommend Ursula. We returned home after a week away and found our cats happy, well fed, and the house very clean. Ursula kept us updated with pictures and little notes about how they were doing. She also took in our mail, and vacuumed around the house. We couldn’t ask for a better cat sitter. Thank you Ursula!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs all my life - I’ve got the baby pictures to prove it. I’ve trained all my pups to give paw. I work from home so my schedule is typically flexible. I’d prefer to keep my home visits within the lunch hour - 11AM to 3PM. I can be super adaptable to meet the needs for your best friend. As a dog mom to an anxious girlie, I can be patient!

“Nicole was an amazing sitter. It was my first time using rover and if I ever have to leave my cat with a sitter again I'll definitely leave her with Nicole. She sent updates and pictures daily and communications was so smooth and easygoing.”

“Rose is super friendly and responsive! I was glad to find someone with experience with cats as that can be a little harder than dogs on Rover. She sends nice summaries of her visits and I can tell our kitty was well cared for! I appreciate her flexible schedule for last minute bookings too :)”

“Awesome experience with Katie. She was great in taking care of my two cats. Made me feel very assured by making sure she laid eyes even on my more skittish cat at every visit. Excellent reports after visits with photos and great communication overall. Highly recommend!”

“Tiffany did an amazing job reliably checking, playing with, and taking care of my cat Pippy while I was away on vacation. I would highly recommend her!”

“Cam took such excellent care of my kitties! Great, thorough, timely, and hilarious updates. My cats were so chill when I got home, I seriously think they were like, wait a minute, where’s Cam, what are you doing here?? Gilly has a new best friend, and even Petunia, my cat with a shall we say ‘difficult’ personality, was warming up. I’d hire Cam again in a heartbeat!”

“Ashley did a great job taking care of my cat! I really appreciated the thorough summaries of what they did and the multiple pictures. She also cleaned up some puke without me asking, which I very much appreciated!”

“Jackie worked amazingly well with my Izzy cat. Izzy went immediately to Jackie upon meet & greet. I was very surprised since Izzy is usually shy or tends to swat new friends. Jackie was on time, followed feeding & litter instructions and treated Izzy with care & love. Im so relieved to have found her. Thank you again, Jackie Thank you Rover. Great site.”

“Roman always provides detailed updates and lots of photos that help put me at ease when I’m away from my pet. He also asks thoughtful questions if he has any concerns - which is even more appreciated because my cat has several daily medications. Highly recommend!”

“Where do I start! Christy has to be the best rover sitter, border, anything and everything dog in the area. She is so great with dogs and really made us feel better when we were away from our dog. She also understood when we needed her to watch him longer than planned. She is a saint and I am so excited to go to her again. She also sends you photos through out the day of your dog. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her!”

“This is the first time I used Rover for dog sitting, and I absolutely hit the jackpot with Greg!!! I highly recommend him to anyone in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh for dog-related services. He is very friendly, caring, highly flexible, and trustworthy, and he maintained excellent communication/was highly responsive during the week that he watched my lab, Lily. Not a single concern crossed my radar leaving Lily with Greg for doggy day care. I knew she was in good hands and would be looked after well.”

“Valerie was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we met her, we felt completely comfortable leaving Dusty in her care. She was reliable, communicative, attentive, and clearly genuinely loves animals. She sent thoughtful updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our girl came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for…❤️ Valerie went above and beyond in every way, and it’s obvious she treats the pets she watches like family. We would not hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, kind, and dependable. Thank you, Valerie, for taking such amazing care of our furry family member!”

“Tia was a great puppy sitter for our Monty! She updated us throughout the day with videos. Monty was playful and happy. She took great care of our fur baby! Would definitely recommend her.”

“Alexis was very responsive during our "interview" stage and very pleasant upon arrival. Although prince was anxious to leave he seemed to be comfortable and safe and that's all that mattered. Thank you for being available.”

“Mimo had such an amazing time with Liz and her family! Upon meeting, I immediately felt relieved leaving Mimo with her. Liz is very experienced with all types of dogs and was very attentive to Mimo when interacting with other dogs at daycare. She asked about Mimo’s quirks and dislikes upon booking which showed her understanding in the different personalities in dogs. Mimo loved them and can’t wait to see them again. Thank you Liz!”

“Valerie and her son were absolutely incredible!! We made the request last minute and she was able to accommodate us which was so sweet. She’s great with communication and flexible as well. Most importantly, she kept in touch with us throughout the day, kept Wilson active and playful, and gave us a very detailed report at the end of the day. We are so lucky we found Valerie, would highly recommend!!”

“Barrett really was amazing. We booked him last minute (less than 2 hours before we needed him) so we could take in a Pirates game while passing thru Pittsburgh, and he was quite gracious. Our Tucker is nearly 15 and a bit of a nervous Nellie. Barrett took it all in stride. I highly recommend Barrett”

“Angela was communicative and wonderful! She even sent a picture to check in and let us know our dog was doing alright and calming down (he's a rescue so the separation anxiety is real).”

“Such a lovely woman. Sami and Bleu must have had a wonderful time. They had lots of playmates….wore them out. They have been sleeping since we left. I will definitely get in touch again. Thank you so much Regina.”

About: I grew up with a chihuahua and small pomapoo and after that I had two Great Danes. I currently have a golden doodle named Sesame. I have a pretty relaxed schedule currently so I’m free nearly 24/7 to be able to care for your fur babies. I can do overnight stays as well! Making sure that both the pets and owner feel comfortable is a top priority. From there, I find it important to figure out the dogs routine and make sure I stick to it.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 9 years old. My family has had 3 dogs at a time since then and I have always been responsible for watching them, letting them out, and feeding them. I currently own a year old Jack Russel named sir loin and he is absolutely obsessed with making friends! I’m always available on during the week and weekend as I have a remote job. So this includes overnights, drop ins, babysitting, and walks throughout the day. My fiance and I rent in a great neighborhood full of dogs. We live right by a park and I have a little yard right outside of my house.
“My puppy had a great experience at doggy daycare with Maria and Tony. The communication was great throughout the day and I felt confident Samson was well taken care of. Will definitely book again!”

“This was my dog's first day at dog day care and it was only for a couple hours just to try it out. But everything went very well. Chang updated me with pictures shortly after dropping my dog off to assure me he was doing well. When I picked him up he was happy to see me but also seemed like he would have followed Chang back to her house if she wanted him to. So that was very comforting to see that he liked her. I will be a repeat customer.”

About: I’ve been a dog person my whole life, from growing up with Winnie and Hairdo to caring for my soul dog Cici (Khaleesi) for nearly 14 years. I lost my sweet girl in July and now I have a whole lot of love to give without anywhere to put it. 🥹 Your pup will be treated like royalty with plenty of walks, playtime, cuddles, and attention... just the way Queen Cici demanded. 👑 I work from home, so my schedule is flexible with plenty of time to give your pup attention between meetings and emails. My day job is in social media so you can guarantee to receive Instagram-worthy photo pupdates while your dog is with me. I’m super active and love a long northside sniff walk. I’m often available for early mornings, lunchtime visits, and late evenings. I’m happy to work with your dog’s routine and needs. My home is set up really well for dogs, with an almost fully fenced-in backyard and a covered deck for relaxing outside. I’m on a quiet street in East Allegheny, with cute spots around for treats like Garden Cafe and ACB. My apartment is on the second floor of a house, so there are stairs to get in and two steps inside the apartment as well.
“We are so happy to have found such a great companion for our senior dog Meela. Tyler agreed to watch Meela last minute and kept us informed the entire time. Our elder girl simply likes to hang out with humans, and eat treats in her retirement age. It’s hard to find sitters that won’t leave leave her alone due to her high anxiety. All she needed was a friend, and we are glad to have found one in Tyler.”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I recently graduated from college and moved to the city, and I’m excited to continue spending time with animals through dog walking and pet sitting. Over the years, I’ve pet sat and walked dogs for neighbors, friends, and family members, giving me experience with a wide variety of breeds, sizes, and personalities. My family has Dane Mastiffs, so I’m very comfortable handling large breeds, but I also adore small dogs like my aunt’s two mini dachshunds. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or calm and cuddly, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. I understand how important routines, exercise, patience, and affection are for dogs, and I’ll always treat your pet like part of the family. I’m dependable, attentive, and happy to provide updates and photos so you can feel confident your pup is in good hands! I work full-time, but my schedule is similar to shift work. I have open mornings and the occasional free weekend! Pet care is something I enjoy, gets me outside, and is a little bit of exercise all at once. I’m organized, dependable, and committed to making sure pets receive the attention, exercise, and care they need. Whether it’s morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening feedings, I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine and provide updates (and lots of pictures!) so you can feel confident they’re in good hands. My goal is for the pets to feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible. That means sticking to their routine, staying in familiar environments, and being aware of the surrounding stressors. I am great at following clear instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, medications, litter box care, and any special routines their pets are used to. I also keep homes clean and tidy, provide regular updates and photos, and make sure pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away. I can provide services at the client's home; I don't have boarding facilities.
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was 10, volunteered walking regular, power and bashful dogs for 2 years at the humane animal rescue of Pittsburgh, currently have 2 cats. I'm currently working part-time, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm available for boarding, drop-in visits, and walking the dogs on weekdays and weekends. I will follow your instructions to take the best care of your loved pups, and cats! I can work with you and your loved pups to make the experience as joyful as possible.
About: I have been taking care of dogs for family and friends since I was young. Growing up with a dog, cats, and chickens, I have lots of pet experience! During the beginning of COVID, I got a puppy with my sister and was the main care taker and trainer for several years. I am excited to love your pets just as much as you do! I am a Pitt post-grad, currently working as a fitness instructor. I coach average 2-5 classes per day, so have a relatively flexible schedule throughout the day. My dog at home is a bit of a tricky walker, and wasn’t very good with other dogs when he was younger, so I have lots of experience and can adapt to a dogs walking style and needs.
“Heather does an amazing job with my 2 pups!! She makes sure they have on their coats or harnesses depending on the cold temps. My pups enjoy the long walks with her and being able to sniff at their own pace!! The pups get so excited to see her! Definitely would recommend Heather to take care of your pets!!”

“Cannot thank Tiffany enough for her flexibility and thoroughness when walking Turtle! She is a great communicator, and shares detailed info about their walks! It's a weight off my shoulders on busy days, and I can always count on Turtle to have a great time when he walks with Tiffany!”

“I trust they care for my dog as much as I do. They get her personality entirely and make her feel like she’s the adorable Royal potato that she is. Always kind and generous with me and my dog. Have rebooked them a number of times now.”

About: I grew up with a reactive black lab, so I know how to handle leash pulling and how to deescalate and prevent fights. In her old age, I learned to accommodate her failing joints. I’ve been trained at the Licking County Humane Society in Ohio as a volunteer dog walker, which has well equipped me to understand and respond respectfully to dog language. I further pursue this knowledge by reading about how dogs communicate with us, and by observing and analyzing their behavior both in real life and online. This will be my primary commitment, so I can easily cater to your schedule to fit your pets needs. Mornings, evenings, weekends, whatever you need, except Thursdays :) I will take great care to follow your instructions and respect the rules of your home and needs of your animal(s). I cannot accept boarding in my own home at the moment.
“Super sweet person! Our golden, Ellie, seemed to really enjoy spending time with Jackie on her walk and she was able to use her commands and had control of her but was still very friendly and caring. I would definitely recommend Jackie.”

“Shannon has been walking my pup for two weeks now and has been wonderful! The weather has been freezing and snowy and yet she has always showed up on time and has established a great relationship with my dog. She does a super job knowing when it’s too cold (or my dog just isn’t in the mood) to go for an extended walk and will just play with him inside a bit longer instead. Highly recommended!”

“We were in Pittsburgh for our wedding and were lucky enough to book with a few days notice. She was responsive and communicative. Very easy to book with and seemed capable of handling our awkward and anxious catahoula tripod.”

I am vigilant on walks to keep distance from hazards and triggers for reactive dogs.

About: Hi, I’m Erika, your pet’s new favorite human. With over 20 years of hands,on experience caring for cats and dogs, I know the rhythms, quirks, and cuddles that come with each unique pet. I was a professional pet sitter in Charlotte, NC for two years, and I’m now offering my services again because...let’s be honest...I miss the fur, the purrs, and the happy tail wags more than I expected. Whether your senior cat needs gentle meds and a quiet lap, your high-energy pup craves structured playtime, or your fish tank needs a watchful eye, I bring calm, confident care and lots of love. I treat every animal like they’re part of the family because they are. I’ve lived with animals my whole life. I respect their space, match their energy, and pay close attention to body language and routines. I’m also neurodivergent, which means my superpowers are detail, consistency, and emotional attunement...especially with shy or anxious pets. Let’s make your time away guilt-free and their time with me fun, safe, and relaxing. Pet care is my routine. I live with two divas,Gypsum and Luna Beans. My days revolve around meals, meds, walks, snuggles, zoomies, and the occasional dramatic stare down over the “wrong” brand of treats. I’ve built my life around reading body language, keeping routines stable, and making every pet feel safe, seen, and spoiled. Whether your fur baby is high-energy or high-maintenance, I’ve probably had one just like them at home. Overnight stays mean I’m there for your pets when it matters most....dinner, walks, playtime, bedtime routines, and even those 3am “just because” wake-up calls. I move into their world so their schedule doesn’t have to change, and I treat every overnight like a personalized slumber party (minus the glitter, plus extra treats).

I am able to handle bigger dogs and small dogs are no problem at all. I’m super active and love going on walks/runs.
“We did recurring, multiple times per week, walks with Zoe for a months-long period. She was very communicative, responding promptly to messages when we had changes in our schedule. She wrote detailed, thoughtful descriptions of the walks and always let us know if she brought in a package, refilled our dog's water bowl, gave him a treat, or other similar updates. We would absolutely recommend Zoe!”
