About: I’ve been caring for pets for a few years, mostly for close friends and family. Whether it’s feeding, walking, or just keeping them company while their family is away, I’ve always treated pets as my own. I often help with housesitting and babysitting as well, so I’ve learned to also juggle multiple responsibilities. I’m currently home for the summer from college, although as back to school season starts, my last day in Bakersfield will be September 15th. With no current academic commitments, I am able to build my daily routine around the pets I care for! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always do my best to keep their routines as normal and comfortable as possible. I have worked with many veterinarians around Kern Country and have extensive background in animal health and care. From the age of 9 to 18 I was involved in 4-H where I won achievement awards and acknowledgement for my handling and caring for pets. I worked in a dog and cat boarding facility for 15 years feeding, cleaning and caring for pets while their owners were away. I have also assisted in pet grooming. About: I’ve had at least 5 years of experience sitting for friends and family. I’m going to college and studying to be a Veterinarian. I volunteer at Kern County animal shelter, and my main task is cleaning puppy cages, so I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I am a college student at CSUB, studying to be a veterinarian. During the Summer, I have a lot of free time while still maintaining good availability during the school year. Even if I have classes, I would still be able to check on an animal every day. I make sure to remove anything that could potentially harm an animal (Sago Palm for cats) and if they enjoy going outside, to always have them on a leash and in my sight.

About: I have been taking care of animals since before I could remember. I also have had a variety of different animals in my care such as dogs, cats, snakes, bearded dragons, and leopard geckos. I also worked at a pet store for a few months last year. I am striving to work part time this summer! I would most likely be available for entire days but less available on the weekends. Once I have a cement schedule in place I will update :) I treat all animals like a parent would a baby! I always keep them entertained and cared for including any specific requests such as allergy concerns or even a specific toy they like to play with :)

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. After rescuing my dog from the shelter, I knew I had a passion for helping animals. I began pet sitting for clients three years ago and take care of animals such as dogs, cats, chickens, tortoises, and horses. I provide walks, feeding, giving medications, bathing, cleaning up after pets, house sitting, and play time. I even provide services such as taking out clients trash, watering their plants, and getting their mail. Anything to make your time away from home worry free! Currently, I have open availability. I have plenty of time to care for your fur babies whenever I am needed. I can do drop-ins, overnights, and walks! When attending a clients home, I ask that the clients provides a list of instruction of exactly what their fur babies need. Each fur baby is different but I provide feeding, walking, clean up, and play time. I will also provide medication to your fur babies if they need it. If you need your trash taken out, plants watered, and mail picked up I can provide that as well.

About: I've had dogs of all shapes in my house growing up: german shepherds, Yorkies, pit bulls and loooots of stray cats. I currently have 2 fur babies but I wish had more. I was the go-to kid in the neighborhood to check in on pets, play with them for energy, bathe and walk them and much more. I did it for fun, but looking back I probably should have charged $5 haha. I work from home and would love to help you out by watching, bathing, or walking your fur baby. I work from home and am very flexible in my hours. I am very familiar with dogs, cats and some rodent pets. I usually watch my friends' and family's dogs and cat while they are away and have no trouble fitting in plenty of walks and play time for them I make sure to respect the home and the owners while giving all my attention and time to the pets I'm watching. I also like to ask for particular tidbits that the animal's characters benefit from. (this goes from medications and feeding habits as well as things and behaviors to stay away from) For example, my pitbull needs a lot of attention but honestly, she just likes to be in the same room as everyone and likes to be talked to in funny voices whereas my Yorkie will just walk off and find a corner to crap in if she doesn't get enough attention and you will never know. I want pet parents to feel like they can forget about their pets while they are gone, it can be more trouble than it's worth to constantly worry and fret over your fur babies with a stranger.

About: I have had a dog of my own for 6 years now. Some more in past years. I have taken care of my friends and families pets for years now. Pets can be scared and intimidating but I know that with my love and patience with pets they do become comfortable with me. I work with kids, but my schedule is really flexible and I have breaks in between each client which gives me the opportunity to check up on pets. I have a fenced yard with two dogs. One of them is Charlie, a poodle/shih tzu, who is super sweet and the other dog is my sisters, who is a Rottweiler named Blue. Blue and Charlie are both sweet dogs. Blue is very energetic and playful and has never been aggressive as well as Charlie. Charlie mainly stays in my room in his kennel and Blue stays separated from the backyard and stays in the side area or in his kennel in the garage. All pets have always been separated but do give them opportunities to play with each other often and supervised.

Each Doodle goes on a mile and a half walk then my little pug, Sophia goes on her walk. Shes a senior so she only goes for as long as she can. This is a daily routine. They LOVE being outside so we spend almost all day outside on the patio playing when it’s nice…. They all love riding in the car so EVERYBODY at the bank, CVS, Dewars,Starbucks knows them by name. Where I go, they go! They have their spots in the car and they know their places. My kids are grown but I am definitely NOT an empty nester, they are my life and fulfill me 100%. For their safety with all the craziness happening in the world, as much as they love being outside, they are NEVER left outside when I am not home. They are brought inside and have been crate trained since they were 7 weeks old. It is their safe place and they love their crates. It’s where they sleep and where they eat too.

About: I have 8 years of experience walking dogs, and sitting them as well. I am an athlete so I like enjoy taking dogs on walks and get some exercise in. Currently enrolled at Cal State University of Bakersfield looking to get my bachelor’s in Business Administration I am a full time student so walking dogs fit right in because most walks are no longer then an hour and are a great time. About: Can I walk your dog ? Hi, My name is Jimmy, I have had pets when I was growing up and have taken care of friends/family dogs for years. My daily routine is walks, feeding, cuddles, play-time, letting them rest when they need, and taking pictures… talking about pictures, I would be more than happy to share with you as much as you need ;) I walk our dog, Molky, 3 times a day, including a long walk in the neighborhood. We have a fenced back yard that is available as much as wanted/needed during the day. I have a friendly 7 years old puppy, Molky. I require that all pups are fully vaccinated, dewormed, before their stay. We know how anxious it can be leaving your pet in the hand of another person, that’s why I would love to meet you and your pet beforehand, to learn more about your pet's likes, dislikes and daily routine to make him/she and you as much comfortable as possible while you’re away. If any question, please ask :) If I'm taking care of your fur baby, he/she will not be alone, and he/she'll always have attention during the stay. Potty breaks every 2-3 hours. As already mentionned I have a fenced back yard, and a little friendly dog, Molky (15 lbs).
