I house and pet sit for short and long term needs, and am looking to expand my client base! Im currently going to school at Bakersfield College Monday-Wednesday! I will not be able to be home with your animals all day, but I will come and go when needed to make you and your animal feel comfortable. About: Hi, I’m Alec. I’ve been around dogs and cats for over 20 years, and what sets me apart is my drive and hunger to provide the best care possible. I don’t just “watch” pets—I stay engaged, attentive, and focused on their comfort and safety. My schedule as a 1099 contractor is very flexible, and outside of work my routine is mostly going to the gym, spending time with family, and occasionally taking vacations. Because of that flexibility, pet care fits naturally into my lifestyle—I can easily adjust my time and prioritize pet sitting when needed. I’m reliable, attentive, and committed to making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I will care for pets in a calm, safe, and attentive environment, whether in my home or the client’s home. I make sure their basic needs are always met, including feeding on schedule, providing fresh water, regular potty breaks, and daily exercise like walks and playtime. In my home, I keep the space clean, quiet, and pet-friendly so animals feel comfortable and stress-free. In a client’s home, I follow their routine closely so the pet feels secure in a familiar environment and experiences as little disruption as possible.

About: I am a college student who is also a barista and a full time dog lover. I used to have two of my own dogs, but sadly they have passed Not only have I taken care of my own dogs, but neighbor's dogs and I have accompanied my mom to drop in visits for dogs. Whether big or small, I can handle the size of your dog. As a working college student my availability always changes, but feel free to reach out and I’m happy to work something out. I can multitask and do whatever you need me to do in regards of your dog/cat including grooming and belly rubs. My schedule for work is all over the place and my schedule for school is adaptable as I’m an online student. On days that I work I can check in on your dog before and after I go in. For walks I’m available after my shifts or before I am closing. House sitting if you allow me I can leave from your place to my job. I no longer have pets, but whenever I am with friends their pets get my full attention. I always pet them or play catch inside and out, depending on the house.

About: I began to offer pet-sitting to friends and family just for some dog breath and tail wags in my life after my dog passed away. A family member told me about Rover and - here I am! I know how important pets are to the families they love and how important it is to have peace of mind that they are in good hands while you're away. I will ensure that your fur baby has all that they need while they wait on their favorite human/s to come home. I've taken care of a dogs for most of my life. My childhood dog was one of my best friends. We would play together for hours and I was responsible to feed, bathe, and clean up after him. He loved belly rubs and going with us on family walks. When the neighbor's dogs broke through the fence and attacked him, I was the one who flushed and cleaned his wounds, changed his bandages, and nursed him back to health after he came home from the vet. He became diabetic when he grew old and I gave him his insulin shots. I also had an outdoor cat, and pet sat for a neighbor who had an iguana, fish, water turtles, and cockatiels. As an adult, I adopted a pit-mix rescue and we enjoyed obedience training, going to the dog park, car rides for a pup cup, going for walks, and playing tug-of-war. Last year, he was diagnosed with an oral tumor and he needed lots of extra care during his last months. He needed medication 3 times a day, a specialized diet when it became difficult for him to eat kibble, and eventually hand-feeding for him to be able to eat at all. He passed away 14 years old. I wouldn't trade one minute. I'm currently working part-time in the morning and would love to spend my afternoons with animals. If you need someone to care for your pet mid-day, we're the perfect match. I provide care where your pet feels safest - in their own home environment. Please leave me detailed instructions so I know where to find their food and food bowl, leash, toys, medications, etc. If you have spacial boundaries for your pet such as not being allowed on the couch or bed, in specific rooms, or if they are outside-dog only, etc., please let me know so I can respect and enforce those boundaries.

About: I’ve been the family baby/dog sitter since I was 13! My whole family have always had pets and relied on me to take care of them! I’ve also taken care of my neighbors dog for several years enthusiastically. I’ve always found dogs to be the closest comfort, which is a reason to trust me. I’d take care of your dog like my own, as I hold them mine very close to my heart. I have a part time job working with kids, so I’m very available to book! I’m fully available four days of the week and I always have time to spend with your fur friends before and after work. In my home, I occasionally use a crate for my german shepherd, most of the time he is loose. He’s gotten accustomed to sleeping on my bed or my parent’s bedroom and we feed him early in the morning. Following his morning meal is a long walk. We make sure he’s well groomed with daily brushing and a wash once a week. Levi has allergies so we make sure to always apply topical remedies and purchase a high quality kind of dog food.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and have had many of my own. I love all breads of dogs, whether they’re big and beautiful or small and cuddly. I lost mine and being able to take care of yours will full my heart. I work and go to school both part time. My daily consists of going to class from 9:30-11 and then to work at 1:30-5:30. I have time before class and the 2 hours between work and class to give love and attention to any little furry friend. I have worked with many veterinarians around Kern Country and have extensive background in animal health and care. From the age of 9 to 18 I was involved in 4-H where I won achievement awards and acknowledgement for my handling and caring for pets. I worked in a dog and cat boarding facility for 15 years feeding, cleaning and caring for pets while their owners were away. I have also assisted in pet grooming. That can include walks, playtime, accidents if needed, refreshing water, and making sure the home is kept tidy and secure while I’m there. I’m also careful about safety double checking doors, gates, leashes, and making sure pets don’t get into anything they shouldn’t. I pay attention to how the pet is acting so I can notice any changes in mood, appetite, or behavior and communicate that right away if something seems off. I don’t just “stop by and do tasks” I treat it like I’m temporarily responsible for the pet’s wellbeing and comfort, and I make sure they feel calm and cared for while their owner is away.

About: I am a teacher with extra time to help with any pet sitting - last minute or planned ahead! I am willing to travel to others homes to feed your pets, take them on walks, give them baths or whatever is needed! Over the summer I will have many weekdays and weekends completely open for pet sitting jobs. Beginning mid August, I teach full time in an elementary school 8-3:30. Whatever your safety rules are, I will adhere to. Having taken care of babies as well for many years, I have a high sense of safety when someone's precious cargo is in my hands.
