About: I have over a decade of experience caring for animals, starting from a young age and evolving into a professional career. I have a certificate in Veterinary Assistance, meaning I have a great understanding of animal health, behavior, and safety. I also completed my externship at Kern County Animal Services, where I gained experience in managing a clean environment and administrating medication. I worked at a luxury pet resort and I currently work at a pet boarding facility, which involves professional bathing techniques, ear cleaning, and skin health checks. Therefore, I have a keen eye for your pet’s physical well-being. Whether your pet needs specialized medical monitoring, senior care, or whole lot of playtime, I have the knowledge to ensure they are safe, happy, and pampered while you're away! I have open availability and can dedicate my time to caring for your pets. Monday-Friday, I am available for morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight stays as needed. I can provide walks, drop-in visits, feeding, companionship, and general pet care. On weekends, I am available for walks and drop in visits throughout the day. I treat your home and your pet with the utmost respect and care. Using my Veterinary Assistant training, I perform 'nose-to-tail' wellness checks during every visit to monitor for any changes in health or behavior. I stick strictly to your established feeding and medication schedules to maintain your pet's routine. Safety is my priority! I ensure all doors/gates are double checked and that your pet is never left in a hazardous situation.

About: I began to offer pet-sitting to friends and family just for some dog breath and tail wags in my life after my dog passed away. A family member told me about Rover and - here I am! I know how important pets are to the families they love and how important it is to have peace of mind that they are in good hands while you're away. I will ensure that your fur baby has all that they need while they wait on their favorite human/s to come home. I've taken care of dogs for most of my life. My childhood dog was one of my best friends. We would play together for hours and I was responsible to feed, bathe, and clean up after him. He loved belly rubs and going with us on family walks. I'm very comfortable taking care of senior dogs and dogs with medical needs. When my childhood dog was attacked, I was the one who flushed and cleaned his wounds, changed his bandages, and nursed him back to health after he came home from the vet. He became diabetic when he grew old and I gave him his insulin shots. As an adult, I adopted a pit-mix rescue and we enjoyed obedience training, going to the dog park, car rides for a pup cup, going for walks, and playing tug-of-war. At 14 years old, he was diagnosed with an oral tumor and he needed lots of extra care during his last months. He needed medication 3 times a day, a specialized diet when it became difficult for him to eat kibble, and eventually hand-feeding for him to be able to eat at all. He passed away 14 years old. I wouldn't trade one minute. In addition to dogs, I've taken care of geckos, an iguana, fish, water turtles, parakeets and cockatiels. I'm happy to care for any type of animal. I'm currently working part-time in the morning and would love to spend my afternoons with animals. If you need someone to care for your pet mid-day, we're the perfect match. I provide care where your pet feels safest - in their own home environment. Please leave me detailed instructions so I know where to find their food and food bowl, leash, toys, medications, etc. If you have spacial boundaries for your pet such as not being allowed on the couch or bed, in specific rooms, or if they are outside-dog only, etc., please let me know so I can respect and enforce those boundaries.

About: I have always grown up with having a pet in the home. Currently, I have two: a young 1 year old shitzu and a senior 11 year old maltipoo (you can imagine how they get along). I have basic skills on training some tricks. My true enjoyment is playing with pets. They heal something in me, and I think they know that. I am currently transitioning from being a full-time graduate student to full-time employee. It has been interesting to say the least. That said, my schedule is very flexible! I am on the onboarding process to a part time. However, I am happy to work with any owner to ensure a happy puppy. Unfortunately, I do not have a fenced front yard, so I will take out any pets with a leash for safety. I do have two small house dogs who are very friendly and happy to welcome any new friends.

About: As someone who has owned pets, I have years of experience in caring for cats, dogs, lizards, bunnies and more! When I could not locate a proper groomer for my shihtzu, I learned how cut my dog’s hair and clip his nails. When I owned cats, I did extensive research on diet to ensure they had all the nutrition they needed. I’m still fairly new to owning bunnies but I have learned a lot from vet visits and testimonials from other bun parents! I work two other jobs but I make my own schedule so I can fit late afternoon and nightly check ins, baths, walks, overnight sitting, and errands into my day if that’s what you’d like. I would love to spend as much time as I can making sure that your pet is well loved and taken care of. I don’t want to break an animal’s routine so if you have your pet on a schedule/routine, diet, or regiment of some sort, I plan to stick to that.

About: I am a Fear Free certified veterinary technician of 13 years who grew up in the show dog world (AKC) before getting into rescue as an adult. Throughout my long-lived animal career I have participated in puppy/kitten/basic obedience training, behavioral rehabilitation, dog sport training, senior care, care for animals with extreme medical needs, and owned/operated a group play doggie daycare. My jobs, hobbies, and passions are all centered around animals and I can't wait to bring that passion to you! I am home full-time, and available for puppies and animals with heavy needs. I have a fairly set schedule for all of the pets in my care, and that level of routine provides comfort to even the most nervous of pups. I am the only Fear Free pet carer in Bakersfield! I provide comforting classical music as well as calming pheromones in the sleeping spaces to make their stay as stress-free as possible. I have a fenced yard and never leave dogs together unsupervised. I do not provide an environment suitable for animals with a history of dog aggression. Small dogs I can be more flexible with, as their attitude usually comes from a place of fear and that is something I can work with for the little guys.

I naturally build my schedule around reliability and attention to detail, so I’m used to checking in on responsibilities throughout the day rather than letting things pile up. On a daily basis, I can dedicate time in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings for walks, feeding, playtime, and any needed check-ins on weekends. Evenings during the week. I’m good at adjusting my schedule to match the pet’s routine, whether that means early morning walks or evening drop-ins. On a weekly level, I plan ahead so I can make sure I’m available for longer care periods like overnights or multiple visits per day. I’m also comfortable being consistent with routines like medication schedules, exercise, and keeping the pet’s environment clean and safe. Overall, I treat pet care like a real responsibility, not something I “fit in” when convenient I structure my time around it to make sure the pet stays comfortable and cared for. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping the pet’s routine as normal and stress free as possible. I follow the instructions exactly as provided feeding schedule, portion sizes, walk times, medication (if any), and any specific behavior or care notes about the pet. For daily care, I make sure the pet gets attention, exercise, and interaction, not just basic needs. That can include walks, playtime, accidents if needed, refreshing water, and making sure the home is kept tidy and secure while I’m there. I’m also careful about safety double checking doors, gates, leashes, and making sure pets don’t get into anything they shouldn’t. I pay attention to how the pet is acting so I can notice any changes in mood, appetite, or behavior and communicate that right away if something seems off. I don’t just “stop by and do tasks” I treat it like I’m temporarily responsible for the pet’s wellbeing and comfort, and I make sure they feel calm and cared for while their owner is away.

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover who has lived with 5 different dogs over the years and cared for friends’ and neighbors’ dogs as well when needed. In our free time alone, my dog Yeager and I like to go on adventures hiking and camping together. When I care for your dog, they will have all the love, play, and attention they need since I am at home full time. I am at home full time to care for your pet. I have a flexible schedule to maintain a safe environment and give them all of the attention they need. I have a fenced yard and one friendly dog. I can keep the dogs separated if needed and can crate your dog if they are crate trained (please provide your crate).

I used to have two of my own dogs, but sadly they have passed Not only have I taken care of my own dogs, but neighbor's dogs and I have accompanied my mom to drop in visits for dogs. Whether big or small, I can handle the size of your dog. As a working college student my availability always changes, but feel free to reach out and I’m happy to work something out. I can multitask and do whatever you need me to do in regards of your dog/cat including grooming and belly rubs. My schedule for work is all over the place and my schedule for school is adaptable as I’m an online student. On days that I work I can check in on your dog before and after I go in. For walks I’m available after my shifts or before I am closing. House sitting if you allow me I can leave from your place to my job. I no longer have pets, but whenever I am with friends their pets get my full attention. I always pet them or play catch inside and out, depending on the house.
