About: I current have a dachshund mix puppy, Milky Way. I previously had a terrier mix rescue named, Rolo. I have also owned bunnies, birds, and turtles. I have walked husky’s, german sherphards, yorkie, pitt bulls, Rottweilers, terriers, and retrievers. I love dogs I wish I could be surrounded by dogs all the time. I am also a nanny and have been working with kids since I was in school. I’m originally from Virginia, but grew up in Los Angeles. I love being outdoors; hiking, cycling, or hanging out at the beach. About: I’ve had animals my entire life. At age 11 I took over the majority of the care of my cats, dogs, chickens, llama, and guinea pig. I have cared for many special needs and senior cats and dogs. I have fostered several litters of kittens as well and all the special needs kittens have been foster fails. I absolutely adore senior critters most of my childhood cats lived to the age of 16 to 19 so I learned to appreciate the time I get with them. My experience with special needs animals includes, many kittens that were born with genetic difficulties, such as heart and breathing issues, compromised immune systems and limb deformities. As well as my rescued senior chihuahua that had a rib deformity. If you have any special needs or senior pets I will make sure that they receive all the care and attention they deserve. I am available most days of the week, I spend most days in Bakersfield and I have to go to Tehachapi for one to three days a week to take care of my mom’s pets and property I will follow all instructions leave your house just as you left it and make sure all doors are locked if you have any extra security measures such as alarms I will make sure they are set when I leave

In my home, I occasionally use a crate for my german shepherd, most of the time he is loose. He’s gotten accustomed to sleeping on my bed or my parent’s bedroom and we feed him early in the morning. Following his morning meal is a long walk. We make sure he’s well groomed with daily brushing and a wash once a week. For daily care, I make sure the pet gets attention, exercise, and interaction, not just basic needs. That can include walks, playtime, accidents if needed, refreshing water, and making sure the home is kept tidy and secure while I’m there. I’m also careful about safety double checking doors, gates, leashes, and making sure pets don’t get into anything they shouldn’t. About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life. I mostly grew up around German Shepards and miniature Dobermans. I have two dogs of my own named Milo and Bear. I adopted Milo when he was a little less than a year from the pound. I got Bear just 6 months later from someone who couldn’t keep him. I love dogs and want to help take care of your pets! I do live in a one bedroom apartment but I have a front yard I can take your dogs out for fresh air and to use the bathroom.

About: I’ve grown up with many cats and different types of dog's. I had a dog that was 19 years old and have been self training my current dog since I got him. Im currently a student at Chico State so I have plenty of time after classes and school. I have plenty of time to walk and play with your pets after 2pm on most weekdays. I make sure there’s no way to escape or places that can hurt your pet if it gets in those places. I would make sure to be attentive and make sure I know what they’re up to.

Be part of animal rescue foundations I have from 8 am to 11 am to attend to pets after prior coordination. About: I studied to be come a vet assistant at high dessert medical college, where I also took an extern ship with task that included, helping take care of animals for boarding, injured animals, and animals before and after surgeries. I have skill with proper animal care and proper husbandry. I am currently working part time at the blvd so they won’t be alone for more then an 8hour shift and I only work one 8hr shift a week so ill be home most of the time when pets are in my care I will allow pets full access to my room and living room (I do have young siblings in my house so I would keep pets in my room if the kids are being to rough) while taking them on walks during the day and night or as needed I’ll feed them to owner preference along with 24/7 access to plenty of water I do understand I have a small apartment but I live close to a park with a dog area to take them for few hours twice a day while it is fresh outside unless otherwise specified by owner.

About: I am a Fear Free certified veterinary technician of 13 years who grew up in the show dog world (AKC) before getting into rescue as an adult. Throughout my long-lived animal career I have participated in puppy/kitten/basic obedience training, behavioral rehabilitation, dog sport training, senior care, care for animals with extreme medical needs, and owned/operated a group play doggie daycare. I have a fairly set schedule for all of the pets in my care, and that level of routine provides comfort to even the most nervous of pups. I am the only Fear Free pet carer in Bakersfield! I provide comforting classical music as well as calming pheromones in the sleeping spaces to make their stay as stress-free as possible. I have a fenced yard and never leave dogs together unsupervised. I do not provide an environment suitable for animals with a history of dog aggression. Small dogs I can be more flexible with, as their attitude usually comes from a place of fear and that is something I can work with for the little guys.

About: I began to offer pet-sitting to friends and family just for some dog breath and tail wags in my life after my dog passed away. A family member told me about Rover and - here I am! My childhood dog was one of my best friends. We would play together for hours and I was responsible to feed, bathe, and clean up after him. He loved belly rubs and going with us on family walks. When the neighbor's dogs broke through the fence and attacked him, I was the one who flushed and cleaned his wounds, changed his bandages, and nursed him back to health after he came home from the vet. He became diabetic when he grew old and I gave him his insulin shots. I also had an outdoor cat, and pet sat for a neighbor who had an iguana, fish, water turtles, and cockatiels. As an adult, I adopted a pit-mix rescue and we enjoyed obedience training, going to the dog park, car rides for a pup cup, going for walks, and playing tug-of-war. Last year, he was diagnosed with an oral tumor and he needed lots of extra care during his last months. He needed medication 3 times a day, a specialized diet when it became difficult for him to eat kibble, and eventually hand-feeding for him to be able to eat at all. He passed away 14 years old. I wouldn't trade one minute. I'm currently working part-time in the morning and would love to spend my afternoons with animals. If you need someone to care for your pet mid-day, we're the perfect match. I provide care where your pet feels safest - in their own home environment.
