About: Growing up in Port Angeles near the Olympic National Park, I have always had a strong love for animals. I received my Bachelor’s degree in wildlife biology so that I could work towards preserving threatened or endangered species. Through internships, volunteering, work experience, and personal experience, I’ve cared for a variety of species including cats, dogs, amphibians, reptiles, beavers, big cats, and wolf-dogs. I have 1.5 years experience working as a cat caregiver at a no-kill nonprofit animal rescue. During my time as a caregiver, I worked with special needs cats, senior cats, and kittens. I am currently working as a veterinary assistant at a local veterinary clinic. I have worked with dogs and cats with a variety of health conditions and temperaments. I have two cats of my own. I also work as a veterinary assistant full-time where I provide medical care to animals. This includes giving vaccines, drawing blood, trimming nails, providing food and water, and cleaning cages for animals that are staying in the hospital for extended periods of time. I would prefer to conduct a meet and greet with both you and your animal present prior to caring for them in order to establish their trust. I will happily take your dog(s) for 30 minute walks around your neighborhood, and I will pick up after them during walks as well. For in home visits, if I am letting your dog out to potty, I will make sure that it is only within a fenced area that your dog cannot jump, or that your dog is on a leash. I am also a firm advocate for indoor-only cats and I am careful to not let your cats outside when I enter or exit your home. I have experience feeding pets dry food, wet food, prescription diets, and raw food diets, and will be more than happy to keep your pet on their regular meal regiment while you are gone as I understand the importance of an established routine for animals. I have experience with medicating cats such as giving them eye drops, ear drops, pills, liquid oral medications, and subcutaneous injections. Lastly, I’ll make sure that everyone always has fresh water.

About: We’re two young professionals that love animals! Tom’s a video producer & Evelyn’s an engineer. We have years of fostering experience and professional K9 behavior and obedience training! For the past couple of years we were traveling in our self converted camper van, but now we’ve settled down in Port Townsend with our 2 dogs and you can always find us camping or hiking! We have experience with the biggest of dogs, down to the smallest of kittens! Let us know what your buddy needs and we’ll take care of it! Typically, if one of us isn’t available, the other one is. About: I worked as a veterinary assistant for 10 years in ER and specialist facilities, including fear-free practices. After that, I was an Animal Control Officer for a few years where I was able to help so many pets and owners. Now, I work from home for a pet insurance company and get to spend all my time with my pets rather than away at work. I am very comfortable with all types of medication administration, including insulin injections. Senior pets are my all-time favorites, no matter the species. I would be more than happy to care for your medically needy companion. When your pets are in my home, they will be separated from my own dogs via baby gates at all times. I work from home 8-5, but pets are always by my side. We can absolutely fit your pet's needs into my day either before or after my shift. If they're in my home they will get interaction through the day. I have fenced in areas for pets to go outside and a nice neighborhood we can walk. I'm happy to take your pet to my local park for some extra sniffy time as well. They will always be on leash outside of my fenced in areas. I do offer pickup/drop off services if you don't have transportation for your pet.

About: Neighbors and friends have often relied on me for pet care in their home. I have experience with all age dogs, but especially with seniors. I’m retired and available to help out when you’re either working, need to get away for a few days or busy and just need a helping hand. About: I have been around dogs and cats my whole life, and have always loved hanging out with them! I currently have a large senior dog (lab pit mix) of my own that I adopted from a shelter when he was 2. I am more than capable of handling large or excited dogs that may pull on leash or jump. I am very comfortable walking dogs in a way that ensures their enrichment as well as their safety. I am a calm person and I love animals and in my experience that is something that pets pick up on and leads to positive interactions! About: I love all pets! I have never owned a dog, but would love to walk and play with yours. I have two cats and know how to tend to them well, including playing. Since I am unemployed, I am free most of the week. I am okay with same-day scheduling but prefer one-day or more in advance. I am flexible! I like to get to know pets by having them sniff me and check me out before I do anything with them. That way they know I am not aggressive and that they can trust me. Then I will tend to their needs as best I can.
