âBarbara H. has a great fenced yard with lots of smells for my dog. She went above and beyond with a walk and tender loving care. I could feel it when I picked Zayda up. My dog was calm and content. Thank you!â

âRepeat customer here. We take our two dogs to Reagan and feel confident they are cared for! They are happy to go and happy when the return. I'm convinced my lab rather stay there most times. Which both breaks my heart and makes me feel good he is happy. Totally recommend!â

âMy dog had a great daycare adventure. He got walks and attention during the day, and I got updates on how he was doing. I've already signed up for more daycare, and would definitely recommend to anyone. Well worth it for the peace of mind provided.â

âJennifer was so sweet and accommodating to our Kodybear! And so flexible, which was really helpful for us and what we needed to do. Very easy communication, her place is made for all kinds of dogs, lots of space in and outdoors, tons of toys, baby gates, blankets, beds.. I know he had a great time. :) She even fed him when we realized we would be a bit late for his dinner time. Too bad weâll be moving, otherwise weâd definitely book her again! Thank you! :)â

âHuge shoutout and gratitude to this wonderful family taking our Maddie while we explored the trails. He was so excited to go back today, and we can tell he was living his best life with his new puppy pals these past two days.â

About: I have many years of all kinds of animal care experience including walking, house sitting and boarding(pet sitting). I have experience with both cats and dogs. I love all animals and have so much love and care to offer when you are away or just need a little extra help. I Have experience with large breeds(mastiff/german shepherd/pitbull) also have two small well behaved peekapoms that are crate trained, so I am well rounded in care. I have a welcoming home and lots of room to play. Local to the area and know many areas to walk your furry friends. I am fun and love all different personalty types. I have a weâll structured home and routine that isnât too strict. I Cannot wait to meet your family! I work a very flexible schedule other than Tuesday-Thursday 8-3. Any other time or day I am able to accommodate certain needs. Fridays through the weekend Iâm wide open to help. I have a fenced yard with plenty of room to play. This is a fun and happy home where everyone is well taken care of. Friendly fur babies welcome.
About: I have had 2 dogs and 2 cats in the past and loved them dearly. I haven't had my own dogs recently but have enjoyed my friends dogs and cats immensely! I miss the company of pets and thought this would be an excellent way to have my pet fix by taking care of other peoples pets. Please bring your pets bed or if he or she is comfortable they are free to sleep with me and sit on any couch or chair in the house. I would love to take them for walks to the beach if you approve. I would take them for walks around this quite neighborhood and since I am retired we would have lots of time together to play and enjoy each others company.
âMichael watched our dog for the day while we were doing some local hikes that don't allow dogs. He was communicative and flexible. Very happy he was able to accommodate us at the last minute.â

âHaden took excellent care with our Banjo, introducing him to her two big friendly dogs. Huge fenced shady acreage to run around in (although Banjo preferred to sit, sniff, listen and contemplate life). He even got to meet a sheep (from safely behind a fence)!â

âDanielle was amazing! I appreciated the quick communication and photo updates throughout the day! My dog loved playing at her house, and was tired out / exhausted after both days of daycare. Iâd trust Danielle with my pup anytime!â

âSierra was so peaceful and kind. My typically high strung pup went with her easily. Sierra gave him treats and gave him loves when he was feeling puny. She is good vibes through and through. Highly recommend!â

âThis was my puppies first experience with day care ⌠so important for it to be a positive one! He immediately took to Angela. I was pleased with her care and so was the pup.â

About: Hi, Iâm Sarah! Iâm new to Port Townsend and excited to connect with local pet parents. I recently said goodbye to my sweet dog of 12 years, and while Iâm not ready for another pup of my own yet, I miss the daily joy of caring for animals â which is why Iâm here. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, so Iâm available for dog walks, dropâins, and overnight pet sitting. Iâve cared for many dogs and cats for friends and family over the years, and Iâm comfortable with pets of all ages and personalities. If youâre looking for someone calm, reliable, and genuinely loving with animals, Iâd be happy to help care for your furry family member. I currently work from home Monday through Thursday, which means Iâm around throughout the day to give your pets consistent attention, companionship, and care. On Fridays through Sundays, Iâm fully off â giving me even more flexibility for longer visits, overnights, or extra time with pets who need a little more company. Because I can take my computer anywhere thereâs WiFi, Iâm able to work from your home if needed. This allows me to keep your pets in their familiar environment while maintaining their normal routines. Whether they like midday play sessions, quiet company while they nap, or a structured schedule, I can be there. When Iâm caring for your pets in your home, my goal is to make everything feel seamless, safe, and respectful â for both you and your animals. Iâm extremely mindful of peopleâs privacy and personal space. If a door is closed, it stays closed. I only access the areas youâve clearly indicated are part of your petâs routine. Your home is your sanctuary, and I treat it with the same care and respect Iâd want for my own. Iâm very detailâoriented and follow instructions exactly as you provide them. Whether your pet has a specific feeding schedule, medication routine, favorite toy, or quirky bedtime ritual, I make sure everything is done just the way theyâre used to. Consistency helps pets feel secure, and I take that seriously. Youâll never have to wonder how things are going while youâre away. I send daily updates â often more if youâd like â along with plenty of photos so you can see how happy and comfortable your pet is. My goal is to give you total peace of mind.
âFirst time ever leaving my nearly 7 year old Blue Heeler with a Rover sitter for the entire day. Damajah understood both my anxiety and my dog's and took excellent care to ensure a good day. She sent photos and a video!â

âI cannot recommend Tyler and Emily enough for dog care. My dogs immediately felt comfortable in their house, which for one of my dogs can be challenging, as she is quite nervous in new situations. I got tons of communication and photos throughout their stay, and both dogs were snuggling and playing as if theyâd known them for a while. I will definitely be back and if anyone is needing incredible dog care, look no further.â

âWe immediately felt comfortable with Stacy! Our dog, Brooke, ran right up to her and was so happy! Stacy sent photos during the day and assured us all was going well. We hope to see her again!â

âNicole and Cody took such great care of my 5 month old puppy while we were in town for a family trip. It was one of her first times at doggy daycare, and she had a blast! Highly recommend.â

âKimberly is wonderful! She has an awesome property for dogs to run around and play. She would provide constant updates with great pictures of Lila. She even cleaned Lila up after rolling around in the mud. I will be using Kimberly again!â

If your schedule changes, itâs best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dogâs fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0â7 kilograms and/or 7â18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pupâs socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dogâs pack, check the sitterâs profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
