“Jenna is a treasure! We are so thrilled we found a caring, reliable, trustworthy person to take care of our furbabies while we’re away! She did an excellent job caring for each of our cats, with very different personalities & needs. She left us detailed notes, lots of pictures & kept us updated the whole time we were away! Peace of mind is priceless - she’s worth every penny & more! Book with her, you’ll be glad you did!”

About: I love dogs and have over a decade of experience caring for them! Most of that experience comes from growing up with my own dogs and living around them as an adult. I will take your dog on walks, let them out frequently for potty breaks, feed them during their feeding times and make sure they always have water in their bowl. Most importantly, I’ll make sure they get lots of attention! Be sure to let me know of any other requests you may have. If you’re looking for someone that’s enthusiastic, reliable and will treat your dog as their own, you’ve come to the right place! 🐶 I currently work from home full time, so my schedule is very flexible and most of the time I am available to provide my services. I’m always keeping an eye on your dog to make sure that they are safe and happy. When outside I will keep them secure on a leash at all times.
“Sarah is a fantastic pet sitter! She did a wonderful job with our kitty Bear. She was very communicative and took great care of our boy. Came back to a spotless house and a very happy cat. She’s a fantastic photo taker too, and it really put my mind at ease to receive her great report cards. She was flexible and went above and beyond making sure our cat received quality care. I highly recommend Sarah!”

“I always love booking with Dakota. My cats love him and he always leaves great messages and pictures when he watches the cats so I know they are doing well. He is always checks in on time and sometimes even a bit early too, which is great for the cats. Also he gets back to me right away if the dates I need a drop in work for him or not so if I need to find someone else I have time. I would highly recommend Dakota for all tour cat sitting needs.”

“Shelly was extremely attentive and timely when caring for my baby. She maintained excellent communication and provided me with updates on how my cat was doing. I highly recommend her!”

About: I’m a 19 year old college student who has always loved animals. I currently have a dog and a cat of my own, and I’ve helped care for pets for friends and neighbors over the years. I have experience with dogs and cats of different ages, including puppies, and I’m comfortable administering medications when needed. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. As a college student home for the summer, I’m looking to spend extra time doing something I enjoy while earning additional income. I currently work another job, but I’m available most mornings before 9 a.m., after 4 p.m., and completely free on weekends. I’m happy to work with your schedule and provide reliable care for your pets when you need it. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fenced yard and experience caring for both dogs and cats. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely, whether that includes feeding schedules, medications, walks, or special care needs. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I give my own animals.

About: I spent nearly four years as a vet tech in Florida where we boarded, groomed and cared for dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments. I have always had animal companions of my own, I currently have two big dogs and one small dog (who thinks she’s a cat) in my family, but I ALWAYS have room for more animal friends in my life! I have pretty open availability during the weekday hours & I will work around your needs on the weekends/evenings to the best of my ability. I am meticulous about my own pet’s routines and I will provide nothing less than that for your furry family members. I know how anxious our fur babies can get when we aren’t around, but I have a cool and patient demeanor that most pets seem to pick up on. I am extremely clean and active, can assist with potty and leash training and I’m also very comfortable with bathing and nail trims for cats and dogs of all sizes! I work part-time, typically 9 am - 2 pm but my hours are fairly flexible. I am very active in the early mornings and can schedule walks for the afternoon or evening as well, depending on what works best for your schedule. Trustworthy and dependable, I treat every pet as if they were my own and always leave places just a little bit tidier on my way out!

About: My name is Charizma Williams. I’ve pet-sitted for my sister’s friend and with my best friend on and off for 3 years. I grew up helping take care of farm animals, cats, and dogs. I love taking care of animals. I’ll treat them like my very own. Your fur babies will be in good hands. I’ll make sure to send you lots of updates on how they’re doing!! I’m unemployed looking for my first job, so I’ll have plenty of time to take care of your fur babies, play with them and meet all of their needs. I make sure to take care of them with lots of love, gentleness, and kindness. If needed, I can crate them, and if they have any specific requirements, I’ll make sure those are met.
“Stefani is great! We have four cats, and one of them needs insulin twice daily. She made house visits while we were gone, and everything went well. We came back after a week to find them healthy and happy. We would definitely trust Stefani and recommend her.”

“Soba had some really challenging behaviors this week, but Carol continued to be supportive and communicative throughout the whole process. She gave us helpful suggestions on how to help improve Soba’s challenging behavior and treated him with love and care.”

“Taya did a great job taking care of our girl, Bella! She came the times and dates requested and even took some cute pictures of our pup on her daily visits. Will definitely use her again!”

About: I’ve had a love for animals since I was a little girl. My mom has always had a love for cats so we got to raise multiple cats and their kittens growing up. When I was 6-8 I finally got the responsibility of my own dog. It was a huge deal to me and taught me so many things I’m glad I was able to learn at a young age. Animals are a huge responsibility, from health to sensory play to ensure the animal is as happy as can be it’s all a big deal to me. When I was 18 I started to work for another at home pet care service and learned even more useful things. How to administer medecine, how to care for senior dogs and their special needs, and how to love and take care of any animal as if it was my own. At 20 I got the pleasure to work at PetSmart Pet Hotel , although it was short lived because of my living situation at the time it taught me a lot. I got to work with all kinds of different dogs and cats with different temperaments and medical needs. From some of the most viscous dogs to the sweetest ones , I always strived to make all of those animals happy as long as they were with me Animal care fits into my everyday life. Having 5 dogs and 2 cats, may seem like a lot to some, but being able to give a home to all my animals while making them happy is such a treasure to me. I have a fenced yard and 5 loud but friendly dogs and 2 cats. My dogs eat on a twice a day schedule to help them stay on a routine and not be all over the place. I take all my dogs (except for the senior) on walks either daily or a few times a week if we chose to do longer hikes at Deep Lake. I strive to keep all my pets happy, clean , and respectful

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
