This is the first time working with Brittani. I had to go out of town for three days and needed to know my cat would be taken care of while I was gone. I asked Brittani for drop-ins at specific times during the day and evening, a specific amount of food, where to put doggy bags, how and where to give water, etc. She agreed and was very responsive when she and I messaged back and forth over the Rover app. Not only did Brittani do the water and feeding, brushing his fur, and litter box chores I asked for, she also took out my garbage and brought in a big heavy package on my porch and cleaned up mess in the kitchen. I recommend working with Brittani.

About: My neighbors trust me to take care of their furry friends when needed. I’ve since moved away for college and hope to meet more pet parents through Rover! I have a full-time job (can WFH) with a flexible lunch break, so I can take care of your pet throughout the day! I enjoy hiking, and if your dog enjoys the exercise I would appreciate the company. 😆 I’m also studying for the MCAT, so I’d love to have a study buddy. Due to a recent move, I no longer have the capacity to board in my home. However, I’m more than happy to house sit and take care of your pets overnight!

About: I’ve been an animal lover my whole life. Ever since I was a kid it’s been a goal of mine to help and care for any animal in need. I’ve been taking care of my friends/family’s furry babies since I was 15. I can guarantee you that your furry friends will be safe with me! Pet care fits into my routine because I have an open schedule. I do have a job but I’ll make sure to tend to your pet as much as possible. I will make sure to make your pet as comfortable as possible and build a bond with them. I will care for them however I’m instructed to as well as keep your house just as you left it.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and kittys since I was a kid and I absolutely love every moment of it. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, cuddles, or bath time, I make sure every pet feels happy, safe, and completely spoiled while you’re away. Kristina D. did a wonderful job. She sent me photos of all of my kitties every day. Two of three were her friends. My fraidy cat even peaked out at her. Felt very safe and confident with her taking care of my fur babies. Would highly recommend her and will be using her again when needed.

About: I’ve had a love for animals since I was a little girl. My mom has always had a love for cats so we got to raise multiple cats and their kittens growing up. When I was 6-8 I finally got the responsibility of my own dog. It was a huge deal to me and taught me so many things I’m glad I was able to learn at a young age. Animals are a huge responsibility, from health to sensory play to ensure the animal is as happy as can be it’s all a big deal to me. When I was 18 I started to work for another at home pet care service and learned even more useful things. How to administer medecine, how to care for senior dogs and their special needs, and how to love and take care of any animal as if it was my own. At 20 I got the pleasure to work at PetSmart Pet Hotel , although it was short lived because of my living situation at the time it taught me a lot. I got to work with all kinds of different dogs and cats with different temperaments and medical needs. From some of the most viscous dogs to the sweetest ones , I always strived to make all of those animals happy as long as they were with me Animal care fits into my everyday life. Having 5 dogs and 2 cats, may seem like a lot to some, but being able to give a home to all my animals while making them happy is such a treasure to me. I have a fenced yard and 5 loud but friendly dogs and 2 cats. My dogs eat on a twice a day schedule to help them stay on a routine and not be all over the place. I take all my dogs (except for the senior) on walks either daily or a few times a week if we chose to do longer hikes at Deep Lake. I strive to keep all my pets happy, clean , and respectful

When you trust me with your beloved pet, you can be confident they'll receive safe, attentive care and be treated with the same love I'd give my own animals. Animals are never left alone and will always have a human around to ensure proper care and your pet is well taken cared for. I have a 6ft fenced yard. About: I've taken care of the family dogs for as long as I've been conscious enough to and have further sat for family friends and other relatives. I have trained my own puppy (he's almost 3 now), have some experience with administering medication (oral and topical), and have looked after senior dogs in various stages of their old age. I have owned and cared for dogs of various sizes from tiny chihuahuas to larger than average rottweiler mixes and handled many different temperaments. I currently do not have a job, so I am able to spend as long as necessary with your pet. I am free all day on most weekends for things like check ins or walks, but on weekdays I can only do boarding or daycare (as I also lack a car). I have a fully fenced in yard and two friendly (medium to large) dogs to play with (my poodle and my father's Rottweiler). I also have access to a kennel/crate if needed, but my sister's dog broke it, so it's more for dogs that are already crate trained and won't avidly try to get out or dogs that don't need fully kenneled and just need their own space.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Union Gap stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Union Gap. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
