About: My siblings would ask me to babysit their dogs while they were away, and I always made it a point to leave their homes as I found it. I’ve worked in childcare and taught karate for three years now (not saying is the same thing) so your pet will be receiving the attention and play they need. Karate lessons too if they’d like🙌! I work part time at a martial arts school. Tuesday and Thursday nights I am working for certain. Throughout the day I’m available to walk/babysit/etc. I have work on my laptop so I can take whatever I need to a home and house sit at the same time. I always want to keep an eye on them, making frequent checks to see how they’re doing. I’d like to be informed of any quirks or habits I should be aware of so the pet is comfortable and receives the best care possible. If they want to play, I’m so ready to play!

About: I’ve had pets all my life. From guinea pigs to chihuahuas to pitties. I’ve yet to meet an animal I didn’t like and I don’t plan to ever. I spend time volunteering at the local Humane Society to learn how to better care for animals like yours. I’m a full time student looking to make most of my income here on Rover. I also spend a few hours a week at the Humane Society. I've had animals as long as I've been self-aware. My family dogs include a senior chihuahua and a 7 year old pittie. At home, my family includes two kitties, Moomin (5) and Toro (1), who are both from the Jacksonville Humane Society! They are my pride and joy and I consider them my sons. I work well with all pets. Doesn’t matter if they’re skittish or energetic. Please do not hesitate to let me know the specifics of your pet’s care needs. It is my duty to cater to their personality! Additionally, I will be sure to send lots of pictures to update you while you’re away.

“I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Deborah! My husband and I have a Scottish terrier puppy. I had to travel for work one week and my husband works long hours at the hospital, so we hired Deborah to walk our puppy during the day. I was nervous because he is still young and this was is first experience with a walker. Deborah was so caring and patient with him! About: Hi, I’m Grace — a pet care professional who works at a dog facility, with hands-on experience in grooming, boarding, kenneling, and daycare. Rover is something I do on the side, because honestly, one job’s worth of animals just isn’t enough for me. Senior dogs and anxious pets hold a special place in my heart. I’ve cared for animals with complex daily routines, multiple medications, scheduled feedings, and extra TLC, and I treat every one like they’re my own. Finding someone your babies can truly relax with matters, and that’s something I take to heart with every visit. As a cat mom myself, patience and attentiveness just come naturally to me. About: Hello! My name is Lindsay and I’ve been working with rescues around Jacksonville for the past 20 years. I started at humane society and worked with a few locals rescues since and have been around all kinds of dogs and temperaments. I am beginning my dog walking and check in business and will expand to dog boarding for special dogs that can’t always go to traditional Boarding. I understand a lot of dogs have special needs from anxiety, not being friendly with other dogs, fears of storms and fireworks, and even medication treatments. I have personally fostered hundreds of dogs from puppies to moms to seniors and am acutely aware that sometimes a walk or check in is a bit more. I understand the guilt of a dog parent not being able to check in on their babies or give them enough time during the work week and I’m here to help with that. I look forward to creating a consistent client base of wonderful dog families that may be overlooked or unable to be cared for by the standard walker. I am happy to take your dog to parks to socialize safely, handle vet appointments better than your husband or even just reassure you that you are doing your best as a pet parent. While not yet training certified, I have completed training with several trainers and fosters and can help with the basics and/or continue your style of training for additional reinforcement. Above all your dogs happiness and health is the most important. And a happy dog is much better at home to help you with your stress too 🥰 I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies and becoming someone you can rely on when needed. I am available 24/7 for regular bookings and understand some of our dedicated third shifters need check ins too! I care for your pets the way you want me to; however I am a force free believer. I will not use shock collars or prong collars for walking. For safety reasons I will not use retractable leashes either. I have plenty of spare harnesses and leashes for walking if needed. I also believe creating a bond of trust and leadership with your dogs is important. I ensure your pet doesn’t get overheated and takes breaks as needed. Weather is funny in Florida and I will make sure you pet can walk, potty and play safely.

About: Hi! Im Danielle,! I grew up around a variety of animals- horses, bunnies, parrots dogs and cats! My dream is to open up a rescue/shelter because no animal deserves to go without a loving home. My boyfriend and I have 5 cats -3 boys and two girls as well as our pit mix which we rescued who are our heart and soul and they truly saved us. We both grew up around animals and the love we have for all walks of life is what drives me to give your pets the best care possible ! What sets me apart from others is the genuine love and kindness I have for animals because each and everyone has a back story and they all deserved to be loved the same. Our pets aren’t just friends, they are family and that’s why I take pride in helping other owners like myself find someone who they trust to help them one belly rub at a time! I am available during the week before 7 and after 5:30pm and on weekends ! I love giving the chance to provide owners with comfort and stress free care because your fur babies mean just as much to me as they do to you! When caring for your pets in your home, I treat your space how I would expect mine to be treated and that’s with respect. By ensuring that I keep same routine that your fur baby is used to will make sure that they feel comfortable because meeting someone new can be nerve wracking. I make sure pets get plenty of love, attention, and are loved as if they were my own — and I keep you updated with messages and plenty of photos so you know your pet is happy and safe. I stick to your pet’s usual schedule for walks, feedings, playtime, and potty breaks to keep things familiar and stress-free. I follow all instructions provided and always double-check things like food portions, medication (if needed), and security (locked doors, gates, etc. Clean-up and tidiness are a priority too; I leave your space just as I found it, or better.

About: I am a responsible individual who has taken care of animals from different types of dogs, cats, goats, hamsters, etc. I am 26 years old and when I was receiving my bachelor's degree in Health Science , I would go to the humane society in my free time to foster the dogs or kittens from there. This would be a great bonding for the both of us and I had gained knowledge from the variety of breeds I've watched over the years. For a few examples, I have watched golden doodles, border collies, lab, golden retrievers, domestic shorthairs, pit bulls, German shepherds, etc. One summer for a few months I routinely took care of a blind and deaf cat and the other cat that was there. I accommodated to the special requirements of this specific cat to ensure she knew where her food/ water bowl was as well as her litter box. In the area where I had lived for a while, I was fostering an Australian shepherd who was older age and had bowel issues. They had given me the medication to take care of him and I felt comfortable and responsible enough to do so. During my week, I have structured hours for my job currently that allow flexibility for availability to watch your loving furballs! I am available for every evening and weekends I am available at any time. I stay active so I would be able to make sure your pet gets a healthy amount of exercise. As well having a routine structure for myself already allows the discipline and knowing that your pets would be fed on time. I am in a safe neighborhood, I live at a duplex that has a fenced-in decent-sized backyard. This allows easy access to their bathroom breaks and playtime with them. The neighborhood stays at a quiet volume and has areas to go on safe walks with the pets. I will ensure to keep to the schedule of their typical day-to-day routine so they feel as comfortable as possible and can still have some fun! I am responsive and will always have my phone or apple watch on me to receive text/calls asap.
