Pet Sitting Secret Cove

About: Ever since I was little, I have a huge heart for dogs. It wasn’t until I was 10 that I finally had a family dog, and from then on dogs have always been a part of my life. I’ve done personal dog-sitting on and off for a few years for some friends and family and I’ve always really enjoyed it. I did Rover a few years ago and loved it, but life got a bit crazy so I had to pause it. I was still able to consistently dogsit for some repeat customers these last few years, and now my wife Linsey joins me in that! Your dog can expect walks at the park or in our neighborhood and for my home to be their home. If your dog likes play dates, my Rover friends would certainly be about it! My normal job is pretty flexible on where I can work, so if your dog needs extra attention, working from home is totally doable. Between me and Linsey, at least one of us is always home. I’ve done Rover on and off for the last 8 years, and have really enjoyed it! My job is super flexible, with set hours only 2 nights a week and once during the day. I’m mostly working from home or at coffee shops, so it’s super easy to stay home with a dog. Between me and my wife, someone can pretty much always be with your pet. Our home is your dog’s home. If they want to go on the couch or follow us around, by all mean. If they like their space, I’ll give them space. Many dogs have taken a snooze on our couch, legs in the air.

“Hannah was fantastic! It takes a special touch to be around cats, as in you need to be reserved and give them respect as though they were people… because they “are” little people. Hannah was exemplary in this. She was very calm and respectful to them, and our female warmed to her instantly. Our male is usually incredibly shy, but even he did not hide during her visits (just stayed high above in the loft peering down, which is “social” for him). That our cats trusted her was the biggest reassurance we could hope for. She followed our care requests to the letter and sent very cute pics while we were away. About: Growing up, I cared for two wonderful dogs who taught me responsibility, patience, and companionship every day. One was a playful miniature poodle, and the other was a loyal cocker spaniel, each with their own unique personality and energy. Spending time feeding, walking, grooming, and playing with them helped me develop a deep appreciation for the joy dogs bring into a home. Today, I own a golden doodle that continues to strengthen my love for working with and caring for dogs. I am also currently volunteering at the Jacksonville Humane Society, where I help care for and walk dogs. This experience has given me the opportunity to work with dogs of different personalities and needs while providing them with exercise, companionship, and positive interaction. I am currently working part-time, so there is flexibility throughout the week to care for your pet! I am also available on weekend days. When interacting with a pet at someone else’s home, I make sure any doors and gates are securely closed, keep them on a leash when on a walk, stay aware of their surroundings, and follow any specific instructions provided by the owner. I treat every pet with the same care and attention I would want for my own.

“We had an amazing experience with Alivia! She took such great care of our dog while our family was out of town. During every drop-in visit, she sent multiple updates and lots of pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind. She went above and beyond by playing fetch with him, leaving him treats, a new toy, and even a sweet note. While we were away, he injured his paw in the yard (he was always supervised), and she was incredibly helpful by putting his cone back on when he kept trying to lick it. On our last day away, she even took our trash out without us asking, which was such a thoughtful gesture. It was clear she genuinely cared about his well-being and treated him like her own. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and caring. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

About: I have taken care of and loved pets my whole life, and have lots of experience with pet sitting as well including puppies and seniors. Experience includes feeding, walking, overnight stays, bathing, and administering any necessary medications that are part of their regimen. My promise is to provide quality care for your pet while you’re away, communication, and lots of belly scratches and love. I currently work full-time during the week. My availability is mostly weekdays after 5:30 and weekends. If needed on a Friday before 5:30, we can arrange something with enough notice. I can take care of your pet in your home, or do drop-ins when needed if it fits within my current availability. I can do whatever you need for your pet’s care and normal routine.

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was in middle school and have had my own pets that ranged in different breads and ages. I absolutely love pets especially dogs! I've taken care all types of dogs and and love to play, bathe, do activities and cuddle with them! I will make sure to give them lots of love and make your best friend feel at home! About: I owned a huge Malamute/Lab rescue who ended up rescuing me. I miss being around animals. I will take my time in walking and spending time with your furry family member. I just moved here from Brooklyn NY. I walked miles upon miles in the snow and rain with my Dog. I enjoy being outdoors. I have been a dental Assistant for the past 30 years, I’m more than capable in keeping calm in a tense situation. Our Dental practice was pet friendly. I was the person in charge of handling all of the pets. I had a Great Dane panic at the sound of the drill, I soothed him throughout the appointment. I’m also a trained Dog Walker. I volunteer at the Jacksonville Humane Society a few days a week. I’m looking forward to helping out families that need an extra hand.
