About: I’ve had dogs and cats in my life since I was a kid, so caring for animals comes naturally to me. One thing that sets me apart is my experience with senior and younger pets. I cared for my own dog in her later years when she developed back leg problems. I helped her move around the house, made sure she was comfortable, and gave her lots of love and patience every day. I additionally took care of my other dog in her early months waking up multiple times nightly to calm her down. Whether it’s a high-energy puppy or a senior pet needing extra care, I’m confident in handling all kinds of needs. I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability throughout the week, so I’m able to care for pets whenever needed. Pet care easily fits my routine, and I’m happy to adjust based on your pets specific needs and schedule.your pets comfort and routine will always come first. About: I have one year of experience working at Pet Supermarket, where I worked around many different types of animals and gained hands-on experience caring for pets. I also helped wash dogs in the Doggy Wash station, so I’m comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and personalities. I’m patient, attentive, and enjoy making sure pets feel safe, clean, comfortable, and cared for. I’m a Xavier student with a flexible schedule, and I’m able to come home between classes during my breaks to check on, walk, feed, or spend time with pets. Guests are welcome throughout the home and can enjoy cozy dog beds, the couch, enrichment toys, tunnels, brush outs, a kiddie pool, a fully fenced yard, and plenty of photo updates during their stay. Dogs are welcome to sleep in bed with me if that’s what they’re used to, or they can be kenneled if that’s their normal routine. Because I have two friendly resident dogs, all boarding and daycare guests must be comfortable around dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and genders. Playgroups are carefully matched based on temperament, play style, size, and energy level. My home is generally best suited for low to medium energy dogs, and I especially love caring for senior pets and laid back personalities. High energy dogs are welcomed on a case by case basis. Safety is always my top priority, so I do have a few requirements before accepting bookings. • Dogs should be potty trained. I completely understand that occasional accidents happen, especially during transitions or with puppies learning routines. However, frequent accidents or ongoing indoor marking may not be the best fit for my home. • Puppies are welcome, but I ask that owners are completely transparent about their current potty training progress and care needs. • Please disclose any bite history, behavioral concerns, previous daycare dismissals, reactivity, resource guarding, destructive habits, separation anxiety, escaping crates, counter surfing, digging, chewing, or other behaviors that may affect their stay. • Dogs displaying normal stress behaviors such as growling, air snaps, baring teeth, or setting boundaries while uncomfortable are not automatically disqualified. However, true aggression toward people or other animals is not accepted. I maintain a zero tolerance policy for aggression within my home. Transparency allows me to safely manage personalities, prevent conflicts, and create the best experience for everyone. Please also let me know whether your dog is kennel trained, whether they need to be crated when left alone, and if they relax well in a kennel or become stressed while confined. Depending on each dog’s behavior and routine, many guests are able to enjoy supervised free roam privileges. Since Rover does not cover damage inside a sitter’s personal home, owners are responsible for any damages caused during a stay. Repair or replacement costs may apply, with a minimum charge of $100 if damage occurs. While my home environment is intentionally structured and carefully managed, I am also comfortable taking on more complex behavioral or medical cases within a client’s home. My care style focuses on structure, enrichment, positive guidance, manners, redirection, safety, and making every dog feel comfortable, confident, and at home. About: I lost my own dog, Maika, a few years ago. She was 14 years old but it was way too early … I’m not ready to get a new dog myself, so Rover has been perfect. I moved to New Orleans a few years ago from Minnesota, where I was also an active member of Rover. My partner, Jonathan, and I bought a house that was built in 1909 — originally as an outdoor market in Holy Cross. It’s now a huge open space attached to a large fenced in yard. Dogs love it!. The dogs hang with me and I usually leave the door open to the back yard, which is basically a mini park with several fruit trrees. The neighborhood itself is also wonderful, there’s a large open field that is fenced in, I a great place for playing fetch or chasing frisbees. The levee is also perfect for long morning or evening walks. I''m a writer and work from home, so having a pup or two around is a real pleasure. I often take the dogs on walks or runs along the levee. But there’s also plenty of space in the house in yard if they just want to chill at home. Usually I work and puddle about doing arts and crafts and doggy's tag behind. The yard has both sunny spots and nice shade… Perfect for the pups.

About: I’ve taken care of friends, neighbors and family’s dogs and cats over the years and absolutely love all animals! My dog Toby is my baby, so I definitely understand how to care for people’s pets like my own. Any special instructions or details will be handled carefully! I work part time in an office and part time from home so I have the flexibility to drop in and do walks in the middle of the day. I follow all care instructions to a tee. About: My family rescued our first dog, April from the local dive bar when I was six years old. According to the vet, April was just two weeks. She had been separated from her mother at birth and hadn’t even opened her eyes yet. My parents worried she'd be too much trouble. I begged to keep her and promised I'd take care of her. April became my sister, my best friend, and my greatest teacher. I fed April from a bottle, taught her how to walk up the stairs, and took her to puppy training classes. April taught me the practice of presence, and the value of unconditional love. Our time spent together makes up some of my most cherished childhood memories. At the age of 13, pet-sitting became my first job. I loved it so much, I didn’t even understand how it could be considered a job. I took care of the animals, and the animals took care of me. In my decade+ of pet-sitting, I’ve worked with a range of breeds, ages, and temperaments. Walking 100lb. pitbulls with fear aggression. Administering medication to seniors. Feeding finicky rescued stray cats. I even fostered and re-homed an abandoned puppy that found me on the beaches of Costa Rica. I can confidently claim that I’ve never once had an animal “reject” me as their caretaker, and I think that says a lot. In the last 6 years, I’ve been living and traveling as a digital nomad. My lifestyle doesn’t currently allow for a pet of my own, so pet-sitting is a blessing that allows me the opportunity to care for pets as if they were my own. I work part-time as a meditation & yoga teacher, and part-time remote as an event organizer. This lifestyle allows me to be very flexible in taking on pet-sitting and house-sitting opportunities. I can build most of my work day around your pets schedule (and I'm more than happy to do so!) I offer long-term and short-term visits and overnight stays to take care of your pets in their own home. I've found that, for most pets, being in the security and routine of their own environment is the best way for them to cope with their owners temporary absence. I make sure to upkeep your pet's sense of "normalcy" to the best of my ability by feeding and walking them at regular intervals, being an active participant in play time (when desired), giving them snuggles (when desired), and just keeping them company! I make sure to upkeep YOUR sense of "normalcy" by respecting your space, keeping it as clean and organized as when I arrive (if not even more so), and following any & all house rules. In addition to overnights, I LOVE to take on daily walks and wellness checks when you're at work or just too busy to do it all on your own!

Since I am in the process of moving to a new space, I am not boarding at the moment. I am usually available for boarding on weeknights after 4p and full days on the weekends. Whether its replacing batteries in your ring camera or letting the service man come in, I am available to help you in anyway you need when something unexpected occurs while you're out.
