“Jacqueline was so fantastic watching our dog over a holiday weekend! She was so detailed summarizing each visit that it helped us relax and enjoy our time away without having to worry about our pup!! 10/10 recommend her for anything you may need for your pets, she’s amazing!!”

“We were very happy having Mamie (Mary) care for our two cats! She is a great communicator, particularly when it comes to letting you know how it's going with your pets. We have a cat who is recovering from an injury and we could tell from meeting Mamie - and later from her updates - that he was in good, attentive hands! She also had to play hide-and-seek a bit to keep up with our more timid cat, but she caught onto his patterns. We're glad we were able to book her and would highly recommend!”

“mariah was absolutely wonderful! her kindness and patience meant everything to me! & she was so flexible & helped me out last minute! i am so thankful for her wonderful care of ralphie & her overall sweetness!!”

“Lauren was the perfect companion for my Laverne! She was thoughtful, responsive, and respectful of Vern’s personal space. She made sure she wasn’t adding to Laverne’s stress level while I was away and did her best to make her feel loved. I’m glad we found someone we trust 💕”

“I have booked with Cori multiple times and she is lovely. She is very caring and communicative. I have a more difficult cat and he loves her. Will definitely be a returning as long as she will have me 🥰”

“Myah did a wonderful job with our Stella! When I walked in, Stella was like "oh you're here," which is the perfect and desired response when any of us return. Stella should know she is safe at home and whoever walks through that door will take care of her. And Myah did very well, meeting our girl's needs in our neighborhood. Will definitely rebook!”

“Amazing cat sitter with lots of attention to detail and care. She arranged a meet and greet before we left and sent lots of pictures with my cat. She was so sweet!”

About: I have used Rover for years and couldn't be more grateful for the awesome sitters I have found for my dogs. Now that I am retired early, I'd love to return the favor by offering to help others with their dogs. I walk and hike everyday and until my current dog, have always owned big dogs. I understand how important it is to follow your directions for your dog, they are like kids and they all have special routines to follow. I'm happy to provide walks, day care and boarding for dogs that get along with my pup. A meet and greet is a must so I can meet you and learn how to best care for your pup. I just retired and joined Rover as a dog walker after using the service for years. I am available to walk your dog and stop for visits any time. Boarding for dog walking/drop in clients only. I have a pup of my own due to a foster failure, I just couldn't give him up. I have trained.and handled lot of different types of dogs as a volunteer for HARP and Canine Companions. I will always treat your pet as if it were one of my own. They will get a long leisurely walk with lots of time to sniff and explore. I'll make sure they are settled in when we return home and have fresh water. Your instructions will be followed and I'll always leave you a note and keep in touch as directed.
“Lindsay looked after our large breed dog and our cat during a recent vacation. We did 2 drop in visits per day and one walk per day which was perfect. Lindsay followed the instructions, modified as needed and generally took wonderful care of both of my girls. Both Pets have nuances that Lindsay understood and worked with and around. Lindsay is professional, On time, and communicative. I was able to leave for vacation knowing that my pets had the best care possible! As much as I would love to gate-keep this amazing woman, she is worth her weight in gold. I would also recommend booking some pre-vacation walks so that your sitter and animals get to know each other - and you can get to know your sitter. By walk #2, my very shy dog was showing Lindsay so much affection. Lindsay was wonderful with her right from the start. Book Lindsay - you wont be disappointed!! She is amazing ( and I'm picky!!!!) - 10 out of 10 wonderful!!”

“Hadley was timely, followed my instructions and was very nice to my dogs. She even put up with their shenanigans when they saw their doggy friends and went crazy! She will be my go to dog walker when needed.”

“I asked for a visit as I went out of town and needed someone for the last day as I had no idea what time I was coming home. I gave instructions and told him that he can leave after doing what was asked since I knew my cat was going to come out. I appreciate the stop by and making sure my cat had food as I was super worried that she was going to go hungry. Thank you for visiting and taking my request last minute.”

Rachel was an awesome, super communicative pet sitter that we'd be more than happy to book again! She made sure that we knew how our cat, Chili, was doing every day via multiple updates and answered any spur of the moment questions immediately. She also ensured she was prepared in advance by getting in touch well before our booked dates. Thank you for being an excellent sitter!

Josie was great. Showed up promptly, and sent many photos and details on how our cat Timothy was doing. She made sure to scoop his litter and feed him and update us when doing so. Additionally she clearly has a love and strong knowledge of cats. Would definitely recommend and will be requesting her to watch our cat again in the future!

We had such a great experience with Destiny watching our cats! She was incredibly communicative, reliable, and sent us regular updates while we were away, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our cats and made sure they were well taken care of. We came home to happy, well-loved kitties! We would absolutely recommend Destiny and will definitely use her again in the future! ❤️

We have used Tessa previously and were so happy that she was available to drop in on our cat while we were away. She communicates well and sent us some great feedback about how our guy was doing, as well as pictures. We plan on using her again in the future!

Krista has helped us with our kitty, Mr. Man, several times now. With Krista helping out, there are absolutely no worries! As we do, Mr. Man just loves her! Krista is extremely reliable and takes excellent care of Mr. Man...and Krista always keeps us up to date with daily notes and photos. Many, many thanks to Krista!!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
