About: As a former dog owner, I know how hard it is to be away from your pet. It is even harder to have peace of mind when you entrust them into someone else's care. I have watched after dogs (and sometimes their humans) for a few years, and was a pet parent for 6 amazing years to a rat terrier mix named Lil Girl or LG. She was my soul dog, and everyday I miss her and see her in other sweet fur babies. She was diagnosed with diabetes in the last year of her life. My family and I took care of her by administering insulin twice a day, and altering her diet. Ultimately she was an older girl, and just wanted to be called back to the rainbow bridge. I'm familiar with many facets of doggy care. My old neighbor has a female white German Shepherd that I visit and take care of frequently. My best friend has entrusted me to care for her 9 year old Australian Shepherd/Retriever mix for the past 4 years while her and her family go on vacation. I often pick up a friend's dogs at their doggy day care as well as make sure they are taken out when needed on an on call basis as this couple has a demanding schedule. Overall, I am available, flexible, and will listen to your requests to best suit your dog's needs. I'm currently working remotely for a tech consulting company, therefore, I am almost always home. Since buying a new home, I now have a fully fenced in backyard for dogs to roam free if they please. I also have my own transportation, and am available to stay or drop in for visits most anytime especially in the early mornings, and late afternoons, but again, remain flexible. Whether I'm caring for your pet at my house or your own, I make sure to speak to you, the owner, about how best to care for your pet. I make sure to ask detailed questions about feeding schedules, potty schedules, whether they are allowed in a certain part of the backyard, if they have any special medications, ect. For walks and playtime, I'm very adamant about asking about leashing as my dog, LG, was a wanderer.
