“Tenaisha took a really good care of our dogs. She’s sweet and very easy to communicate with. I’ll definitely book her again in the future when we’re out of town.”

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs and other animals. While I was stationed at Fort Polk, many of my fellow Soldiers would go on leave, travel home for the holidays, or be away for training. Since I stayed in Louisiana and did not travel because I purchased my home here, I was often happy to help by caring for their pets. I would feed them, take them on walks, play with them, exercise them, make sure they had fresh water, and give them plenty of attention until their owners returned. I have experience with dogs of different sizes, breeds, and energy levels, and I understand that every pet has its own personality and routine. I am CPR certified, physically fit, dependable, and treat every animal like family. I have a spacious home where pets have room to relax and feel comfortable, and I will always make sure they receive the care, exercise, and affection they deserve. My goal is to provide a safe, loving environment so you can have peace of mind while you are away. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable pet care throughout the week. As a 1099 contractor, my hours vary, which gives me the ability to work around your pet’s needs. Whether your pet needs a morning walk, midday check-in, evening care, or overnight attention, I will do my best to accommodate your schedule. I understand how important consistency is, and I am committed to making sure your pet feels comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you are away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a clean, calm, and loving environment where every pet is treated like family. I am CPR certified and have experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages and personalities. My wife and I have rescued stray cats and cared for numerous animals over the years, so we understand the patience and attention every pet deserves. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any special requests you have. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and receiving excellent care.

About: I am experienced and caring pet sitter with a background in animal shelter volunteering at Acadiana Animal Aid and adoption support. Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and personalities, I take pride in keeping pets calm, cared for, and comfortable. I have a flexible work schedule, which allows me to be available throughout the day for pet care. “⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Danielle did an excellent job taking care of my special-needs baby. She was patient, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to make sure all needs were met. It gave me complete peace of mind knowing my pet was in such caring and capable hands. I’m so grateful for the love and extra care she showed, and I would absolutely recommend Danielle to anyone—especially those with pets who need a little extra attention.”

About: Dogs put their butt to me in overstimulating environments. If your baby is active, I will be on that rollercoaster with them until I physically cannot match their energy anymore. If they are in a chill mood, they will be petted and cuddled 'til the cows come home. Experience with bottle-feeding, fostering, and re-homing. I have a fluid schedule half of the week for on-call needs. The other half, I have a set routine so we can securely schedule up to months in advance. I am an active listener and ask any clarifying questions that I can't figure out myself to ensure that I give your fur baby everything they need during our time together. Reading their signs and responding to their needs are primary because safety and fun are my mission when caring for our friends :0) I honor your boundaries, update as requested and work with you to have a serene experience.

About: Hello, Furbaby Parents!!! I love and treat my furbabies like human babies...and, to me, they are. A baby is a baby. They need love, nourishment, direction, and laughter and that is what your baby will get while at our home. 🐈🐕😍 I try to only keep 1 dog at a time, in addition to our 2. I find it helps ease any new pup's anxiety if only 1 new personality is added at a time...to our melting pot of permanent characters. Lol I know that it is difficult to leave your pet with someone new but I can promise you that they will be loved, cared for and treated with the utmost respect. And they will not be kept in a kennel unless specified by you! Our home will be their new vacation spot. I hope they love to play with cats! 🐈 All rates are negotiable depending upon the situation or circumstance. I'm here to help!! I am currently taking time off to stay at home so I have plenty of time to care for your pet. I am available 7 days a week, anytime of day or night. I have a yard and 2 friendly pups to play with your baby. I also have kitties to keep your pup entertained. Nothing but excitement over here!

“Jaedynn did an awesome job watching my two large breed dogs! She was communicative, reliable, and had a natural chemistry with my pups. She left my house tidy, sent plenty of updates, and took them on several walks per our agreement. Would book again!”

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals for a very long time you can even say my whole life. I’ve raised cats, dogs, birds, chinchillas, even a chameleon from babies to adults. I’ve potty trained many puppies, taught them tricks, and even cared for pregnant mommas with puppies. Cats are more of my specialty though i’ve litter box trained them, taught them to walk on a leash, tamed feral cats/kittens. I also volunteer from time to time at the Acadiana Animal Aid shelter helping care for cats/dogs in need of homes. I’m currently working full-time. I work an 8 hour day normally from 8 am - 5 pm, my hours are flexible though. I also have a 1 hour lunch I can take. I’m completely free most weekends. I have a mostly fenced yard where my dog Huck loves to play, it is a little small but we make do with the space we have. My dog and cats gets fed twice a day morning/evening. If I’m caring for an animal in a clients home I can visit in the mornings/lunch/evenings depending on the care needed.

About: Hi! I’m a passionate and experienced dog lover with over 4 years of hands on experience working at a busy doggy daycare. In that role, I cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. Handling everything from playtime supervision and feeding to administering basic care and ensuring a safe, happy environment for every pup. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I’ve grown up around them, so caring for them comes naturally to me. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every dog like they’re my own with patience, attention, and lots of love. Whether your dog needs a fun walk, a reliable sitter, or just some extra attention while you’re away, you can count on me to provide dependable, attentive, and compassionate care. I’m comfortable with high energy dogs, shy pups, and everything in between! I can’t wait to meet you and your furry best friend! I’m a teacher during the week, so my pet care schedule fits perfectly around that! I’m available in the afternoons/evenings on weekdays, and I have full availability on weekends, holidays, and throughout the summer. This allows me to give pets plenty of time, attention, and consistency when their owners need it most. I have a dog of my own, but I live in an apartment, so boarding in my home isn’t ideal. My dog is friendly so play dates are definitely an option if you’re okay with it! I prefer caring for pets in their own environment where they’re most comfortable. In a client’s home, I always follow all provided instructions closely and do my best to keep your pet’s routine as normal and consistent as possible whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or any specific care needs. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and stress free while you’re away.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pont Des Mouton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pont Des Mouton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pont Des Mouton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
