We had a great experience with our dog sitter! They stopped by for a drop-in potty break for our three dogs — Beamer, Jax, and Beau — and took great care of them. It gave us a lot of peace of mind knowing someone reliable was checking on them while we were away

About: Loving and reliable pet care for your fur babies! You can book with confidence with me! I have spent years caring for my own dogs while also learning proper care and training from my granddaughter who works in veterinary medicine. I am passionate about giving your pets a loving home away from home. I am retired and spend most of my days working around my house with my two yorkies. I have a fenced in yard that we spend alot of our day in. My neigherborhood is very quiet and does not have a lot of traffic, I have a large fenced in yard for dogs to play safely. For cats, I have a safe and quiet room that they can have to themselves away from my two yorkies, but the yorkies have been around cats before and are okay with them.

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs and other animals. While I was stationed at Fort Polk, many of my fellow Soldiers would go on leave, travel home for the holidays, or be away for training. Since I stayed in Louisiana and did not travel because I purchased my home here, I was often happy to help by caring for their pets. I would feed them, take them on walks, play with them, exercise them, make sure they had fresh water, and give them plenty of attention until their owners returned. I have experience with dogs of different sizes, breeds, and energy levels, and I understand that every pet has its own personality and routine. I am CPR certified, physically fit, dependable, and treat every animal like family. I have a spacious home where pets have room to relax and feel comfortable, and I will always make sure they receive the care, exercise, and affection they deserve. My goal is to provide a safe, loving environment so you can have peace of mind while you are away. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable pet care throughout the week. As a 1099 contractor, my hours vary, which gives me the ability to work around your pet’s needs. Whether your pet needs a morning walk, midday check-in, evening care, or overnight attention, I will do my best to accommodate your schedule. I understand how important consistency is, and I am committed to making sure your pet feels comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you are away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a clean, calm, and loving environment where every pet is treated like family. I am CPR certified and have experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages and personalities. My wife and I have rescued stray cats and cared for numerous animals over the years, so we understand the patience and attention every pet deserves. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any special requests you have. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and receiving excellent care.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a little girl. I volunteered at an animal shelter and neighbors have always relied on me to take care of their pets! I’m currently looking for a full time job. But would hope to do this part time. The part time hours will depend on when you need me. I have an indoor dog named Lilly. She is well taken care of. I feed her twice a day, take her out multiple times to use the bathroom, give her plenty of water, and plenty of exercise.

About: Ever since I was little, I’ve loved animals. I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, took two years of veterinary classes, and even worked at a veterinary clinic as my first job. Life took me on a different route but I never stopped loving animals. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities, whether they need a walk, playtime, fresh food and water, medications, or just lots of love and attention. I’m also the person who stops for every stray animal (my husband has had to remind me we can’t keep them all! 😂). I have 3 dogs, 2 cats and a gecko at home. Most of them are strays so jokes on him! As a wife and mom, I understand how important it is to know your loved ones are in good hands. I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own and send plenty of photo updates so you know they’re happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away. I do work full-time, so I offer pet care before and after work, on days off, and during my available hours. This isn’t just a side job for me, it’s something I love and brings me happiness. Since I’ll be caring for your pet in your home, I always strive to keep their routine as normal as possible. And I think communication with you is key!

About: I’ve had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember, so caring for them has always been something that feels natural and special to me. My love for dogs grew even more when I worked at a doggy daycare and boarding facility, which is where I truly discovered how much I love working with animals. I’ve had hands-on experience with dogs of all different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities, including lots of puppies and senior dogs who may need a little extra patience and attention. I understand that every dog is different, and I love taking the time to learn their personality, routine, and what makes them feel most comfortable. I treat every dog I care for like they’re my own and always want them to feel safe, loved, and happy while their family is away. :) I’m a full-time student and involved in my sorority, but I’m very devoted to making time for my clients and their furry friends! I’m happy to work pet care into my schedule and come by to give your pets the attention, love, playtime, and care they need. I’ll always do my best to be dependable and make sure your pets are well taken care of while you’re away. 🐾💕 I would always respect your home and your pet’s normal routine while caring for them. I’ll follow any instructions you leave closely, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, medications, playtime, or any other special needs. I know some pets can be nervous when their owners are away, so I’ll make sure they get plenty of love, attention, and comfort while keeping their environment safe and clean. My goal is for you to feel completely comfortable knowing your furry friend is being cared for and loved while you’re away!

Ariana was great with our three cats. Kai warmed up to her quickly. I was surprised at the other two. They usually stay away from visitors. She did every we asked and then some. She actually sat and interacted with our kitties every visit. We will definitely book her for our next trip. Thank you Ariana.

Savanna is a fantastic sitter. She is very sweet and she loves animals. She is not afraid of a litter box and will even water your plants if asked. I looked forward to her notes and pictures every morning as it gave me comfort knowing Oliver and the ferals were being well taken care of. I would absolutely have her watch my little friends again.

Kay was absolutely wonderful caring for Finn over an 8-day period! This was the first time Finn has ever been left alone, so I was naturally quite nervous, but Kay completely put my mind at ease. I loved the excellent communication and the great photos sent during every single visit. It was incredibly reassuring to see Finn happy, relaxed, and well cared for while I was away. Kay was reliable, attentive, and so loving with him. I highly recommend Kay to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter, and I will absolutely be booking again!

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Scott stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
