About: Hi! I'm Maria, and I live in Carencro. I offer a cozy, peaceful home with a fully fenced yard for comfort and safety. I've had dogs my whole life, and in recent years I've been educating myself through courses and reading about canine health, training, and behavior. For over ten years, I've been a trusted caregiver for friends and family, especially for small dogs. Here's what your dog will find here: • A safe, fenced yard for quick potty breaks and sunbathing (under supervision) • A calm, chaos-free indoor environment — perfect for lap dogs, seniors, and puppies • Plenty of couch cuddles, patience, and an established routine • Dogs who need space can rest in a cozy, separate area without any pressure to play • Daily updates with photos and videos I know every dog is different, so I stick to the routine they have at home. I'd love to meet your best friend! I work 4 to 6 hours a day; the rest of the time, I am at home. I always take them out to the yard before I leave, and I make sure they have food and water. When I return, I take them out to the yard again, and we go for a walk, following our established routine. They usually stay indoors, except for morning and evening walks and bathroom breaks in the fenced yard, which last approximately 30 minutes, three times a day. The dogs eat according to a schedule set by the owner, and they have the freedom to move freely around the house and lie down wherever they want. I have a medium-sized mixed-breed dog who usually ignores other dogs and sometimes plays with them if he likes them.
About: Since the age of 10 i’ve been independently taking care of many dogs, including strays and rescues. Years later i now work with animals professionally. I am trusted by clients to care for there pets needs while they are away. I focus on walking, feeding, cleaning behind them, sometimes bathing, and after weeks of training under a few vet technician’s I can now confidently medicate both dogs and cats when needed in any way. I have always loved dogs, throughout my years i’ve rescued many and have been trusted by my neighbors to bathe their dogs when they aren’t able to, while also giving simple nail trims if they meet my safety requirements. Caring for others pets i have learned to put my safety first while also ensuring the animals i deal with are also okay. Dealing with borders on a regular, i sometimes notice that some dogs would be more comfortable at home and i would love to ensure that! I am currently working part time, So after lunch i have a good amount of time to care for other pups from midday until late afternoons mostly on Wednesdays to Fridays starting from 2:20-9:30 pm, those times will allow me to properly care for your baby’s without any worry! I am accommodating, i’m very open to how clients would like their fur baby’s to be taking care of. If the pet has a schedule i will happily try my best to stick close to the schedule. Whether that includes a specific time to walk, feed, or for them to be kenneled. If the dog gets dirty i do have much experience with simple bathing, i am not an experienced groomer but i can offer a simple scrubbed down bath.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for most of my life and have experience with pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Growing up around animals and pet sitting for friends and family from a young age gave me a strong foundation in providing safe, reliable, and loving care. I have experience caring for puppies, senior pets, and everything in between, including feeding, walking, administering medications, and providing companionship while owners are away. I understand that every pet has unique needs and routines, and I take pride in following instructions carefully to help pets feel comfortable and secure. As the owner of a reactive and anxious Labradoodle and a strong-willed Golden Retriever mix, I have firsthand experience working with dogs that require extra patience, awareness, and positive reinforcement. I’m familiar with clicker training techniques, leash reactivity management, and creating calm, positive experiences during walks and visits. Whether your pet needs exercise, attention, medication, or simply a friendly face while you’re away, I’ll treat them with the same care and respect I give my own pets. I’m currently working part-time so I’ll have time for early morning or evening drop-ins during the week and open availability on weekends. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I understand the importance of following routines, administering medications correctly, and recognizing signs of stress or discomfort. As the owner of an anxious, reactive dog, I’m experienced in handling pets who need extra patience and attention. I will treat your pets and home with the same care and respect I give my own, and I’ll keep you updated throughout every visit for added peace of mind.
“Olivia has done multiple drop in visits for me and my dogs while we are in town for hurricane relief work. We currently stay in a hotel about an hour away from work and work from the early morning till evening time. Olivia’s drop in visits has given us peace of mind knowing our dogs get to go potty, get a drink of water, and have a treat when she gets there in the middle of the day. We are so thankful we found a sitter that has been understanding, responsive, and flexible throughout the whole process. We are just sad we will be moving on to a different city soon and will have to find a different sitter. Thank you Olivia for all you have done for us!”

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs and other animals. While I was stationed at Fort Polk, many of my fellow Soldiers would go on leave, travel home for the holidays, or be away for training. Since I stayed in Louisiana and did not travel because I purchased my home here, I was often happy to help by caring for their pets. I would feed them, take them on walks, play with them, exercise them, make sure they had fresh water, and give them plenty of attention until their owners returned. I have experience with dogs of different sizes, breeds, and energy levels, and I understand that every pet has its own personality and routine. I am CPR certified, physically fit, dependable, and treat every animal like family. I have a spacious home where pets have room to relax and feel comfortable, and I will always make sure they receive the care, exercise, and affection they deserve. My goal is to provide a safe, loving environment so you can have peace of mind while you are away. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable pet care throughout the week. As a 1099 contractor, my hours vary, which gives me the ability to work around your pet’s needs. Whether your pet needs a morning walk, midday check-in, evening care, or overnight attention, I will do my best to accommodate your schedule. I understand how important consistency is, and I am committed to making sure your pet feels comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you are away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a clean, calm, and loving environment where every pet is treated like family. I am CPR certified and have experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages and personalities. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any special requests you have. You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
