“Thanks Roxanne you were always calm, flexible and easy to work with. I would not recommend for smaller dogs. Our pup went 2 days and came back both days a bit overwhelmed, exhausted and especially on day 2 he was stinky and scratched up. As a one year old he may not have been able to hold his own with the larger older dogs. It seems to be a great place for larger dogs, but even my 80lb Ridgeback was overwhelmed and may have been out muscled. He tends to play hard and get clumsy. Will certainly consider in the future for booking.”

Baja is very sweet but can be a handful and so we were pretty picky about who could take the reins after her last sitter moved. Dogs are welcome on furniture unless you prefer otherwise, and I’ll follow your pet’s usual routines, rules, and training expectations to help them feel comfortable. In Your Home & On Walks: Walks are tailored to your dog’s age, energy level, and individual needs. Whether we’re exploring your neighborhood, staying at home, or enjoying a relaxed sniffari, I’ll provide safe exercise, mental enrichment, and plenty of positive attention. I have a large dog stroller and use positive reinforcement techniques on walks. We will go over anlso review any training cues, commands, or routines you have established to help maintain consistency and good habits.

About: Hey! We're Matt and Shawna! We're a young, dog-loving couple with a furry pup of our own! Together, we would love to meet your pups and keep them company while you're away! While in California, Shawna was an active dogsitter for DogVacay which eventually turned into Rover! She's the snuggler; she'll love giving tons of belly rubs/hugs/kisses to your pups! Matt stays super active and loves going on long walks/runs/hikes with your pups. Your pups are guaranteed to get great exercise with him! Message us for any questions you may have! About: If you're a dog lover, you should have dogs, right? I've had dogs all my life and we currently have two small well-behaved dogs, Daisy and Buddy, both under 20 lbs. My 23-year-old son Sam is a co-sitter (I'm primary) and your doggie will receive all the love it can handle! Sam used to volunteer as a dog walker at the Maui Humane Society when we lived on Maui and we spent Saturdays at the pet-a-puppy adoption gathering at the Maui Mall. Animals seem to know we're safe and loving and tend to come to us when they need help. We've rescued a duckling, a Mynah bird, a baby squirrel, a lost kitten, and two adult dogs, caring for them in our homes until appropriately placed or returned to their owners. We also took part in a humpback whale rescue when visiting Maui Feb 2023. I work from home as an instructional designer; my son is an student in animation and is also at home and absolutely adores every animal he ever met. Two responsible adults are here at all times, so this makes it easy to give your fur baby the attention it deserves. Our dogs are indoor dogs and have free roam of our house. We have a large, fenced, dog-friendly backyard for exercise. Our two small friendly dogs can show your dog the ropes. We recommend a visit prior to placement so they can all get acquainted.
