Vanessa was great. She is incredibly knowledgeable and an experienced handler. She took her time to introduce my dog to all of the areas in her home and sent me pictures with updates on how things were going. I will most certainly be using her services in the future.

I wanted to write another review because Melani continues to go above and beyond in every possible way. After many more stays, I can honestly say she is one of those rare people you feel incredibly lucky to find. My dog does not just enjoy being with her, he genuinely lights up when he sees her, which says everything. Melani is not only dependable and communicative, but she is also so thoughtful and intuitive when it comes to my dog’s needs. She pays attention to the little things, keeps me consistently updated, and always makes sure he feels loved, safe, and comfortable. It gives me total peace of mind knowing he is in such capable and caring hands. She has become such an important part of our routine, and I truly cannot imagine trusting anyone else the way I trust her. If you are considering Melani, do not hesitate, she is everything you could hope for and more. The full package!

Irene was amazing! She only had our puppy for 2 hours, but was so great with her and sent so many pictures which made us feel at ease! We had to come get korra early for medical issues and Irene went above and beyond to help us, give us tips, and was just incredible all together. Would highly recommend her for any needs! She made the first time using rover awesome.

Vinai asked some great questions to make sure Rocky was compatible with the pack which we appreciated. Rocky can be wary of new people, but Vinai was really accommodating and let her get comfortable at her own pace. Showed up to a happy and tired pup!

Haley and Graham S are the most caring, sensitive and excellent daycare provider and boarder for my seven year-old black Labrador. They are attentive to her needs, well organized, and have an excellent environment for my dog to play with other dogs. I am so pleased with the care that my dog receives twice per week and boarding as needed! I receive a report card and a photo for each visit-it is all the special touches that make these Rover providers exceptional!

I needed day care services for the last 3 weeks. Susan & Ian were amazing! I requested dog pickup and drop off. I work 12 hrs a day and when I got home I came home to a tired and happy dog. It was like Christmas. I got pictures and video updates thought the day and report card at end of day. Kuka, my dog, loves their Rudy. They became buddies. I cant recommend them high enough!! Kuka went to doggie day care in the past and it always stressed her out. We tired 4 different places. She is super duper happy with Susan and family.

They were great hosts.........Maya was very happy and content there. I hope to be taking Maya there again!

About: As a lifelong animal lover, I understand that pets are family. Finding someone you trust to care for your pets is incredibly important, and I strive to provide the same attentive, dependable care that I want for my own dogs. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and ages, cats, rabbits, fish, and have spent time around horses and other barn animals. Whether your pet needs long walks, playtime, medication administration, plenty of cuddles, or simply a consistent routine, I’m happy to tailor my care to their individual needs. I also know how much reassurance matters when you’re away, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout each visit. My goal is for you to have complete peace of mind, knowing your pets are safe, comfortable, and treated like family. As a dog owner myself, I have firsthand experience caring for pets with anxiety, behavioral challenges, and ongoing medical needs. I have a background in positive reinforcement training and believe in using patience, consistency, and rewards to encourage good behavior. Whether your pet needs extra reassurance, a structured routine, or specialized care, I’m committed to providing attentive, compassionate support. My schedule is fully open and am dedicated to pet care in the Beaverton/Portland/Tigard/Hillsboro area. Due to having my own dogs, I am unable to Provide overnight care in your home but can offer boarding services for friendly dogs. In My Home: Your dog will be treated like part of the family during their stay. I have a small fenced yard for potty breaks and outdoor time, and Hazeldale Park is just a short walk away for additional exercise and enrichment. I have a large dog stroller and use positive reinforcement techniques on walks. We will go over anlso review any training cues, commands, or routines you have established to help maintain consistency and good habits.

Brittany and Blase were such a godsend. I was moving to a new apartment, and needed a place for my anxious boy to hang out for the day. He takes a while to warm up to people, but Brittany and Blase were so patient and kind with him! By the time I picked him up, he didn’t seem to want to leave. They were attentive and great with communication and all in all took so much stress off my plate! Couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

Heather was a last minute life saver! I gifted my partner a pair of concert tickets six months prior as a Christmas present, and it was finally the day of the concert. However, I was at risk of missing the concert due to my dog, Chaos, having a big oral procedure 1.5 weeks prior that resulted in 20 teeth extracted and multiple sutures. Two of the sutures had come undone causing him to have a painful experience until they were able to be re-sutured (problem solved!) two days before the concert. I monitored Chaos’s recovery up until the day of the concert to make the final decision if I will stay home with him or attend the concert with my partner. Thankfully Chaos improved enough in the final 24 hours where I felt comfortable boarding him. When I called Chaos’s regular place of boarding (Pet Hotel at Petsmart) the morning of the concert, I understandably learned they are unable to accept pets with sutures due to policy. I opened Rover and began searching for a last minute sitter who had immediate availability, didn’t have more than one dog, and could provide extra care and attention to my recovering dog. That’s where I found Heather, who offered to set Chaos up in a pen in the kitchen so he could have his own space to chill, and overall had a wonderful vibe of assuring me he will be in good hands. An hour later, I dropped Chaos off with Heather and was scheduled to pick him up at 11:30pm that night. She sent us updates including a photo of him relaxing in the shade in her backyard, drunk from his pain meds. Exiting the concert venue and getting on the MAX took longer than expected due to the large crowds, resulting in us running late and pushing the pick up time from 11:30pm to 12:10am. I felt guilt and shame typing that message since it was already late in the night but Heather was super cool about it! When we picked Chaos up, he was very relaxed and could tell he had a wonderful experience hanging out with Heather and her family. Although I checked my phone frequently during the concert, I was never worried about Chaos and was able to fully be present and enjoy the experience with my partner, all thanks to Heather! Heather is amazing, understanding, has a wealth of knowledge & experience with dogs, and we happily recommend her to anyone who is in need of her services!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Farmington commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,861 sitters in Farmington, 89% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
