I have a full-time job and am typically unavailable between 7am-4pm during the week. I am available most weekends to walk or care for your fur babies. About: If you're a dog lover, you should have dogs, right? I've had dogs all my life and we currently have two small well-behaved dogs, Daisy and Buddy, both under 20 lbs. My 23-year-old son Sam is a co-sitter (I'm primary) and your doggie will receive all the love it can handle! Sam used to volunteer as a dog walker at the Maui Humane Society when we lived on Maui and we spent Saturdays at the pet-a-puppy adoption gathering at the Maui Mall. Animals seem to know we're safe and loving and tend to come to us when they need help. We've rescued a duckling, a Mynah bird, a baby squirrel, a lost kitten, and two adult dogs, caring for them in our homes until appropriately placed or returned to their owners. We also took part in a humpback whale rescue when visiting Maui Feb 2023. I work from home as an instructional designer; my son is an student in animation and is also at home and absolutely adores every animal he ever met. Two responsible adults are here at all times, so this makes it easy to give your fur baby the attention it deserves. Our dogs are indoor dogs and have free roam of our house. We have a large, fenced, dog-friendly backyard for exercise. Our two small friendly dogs can show your dog the ropes. We recommend a visit prior to placement so they can all get acquainted.

About: I’ve helped take care of my neighbors dogs before, and have babysat for families that have dogs. I also grew up with two yellow labs and then a German shepherd, I would take my dog on a walk when I was younger or a run, and know how to feed and play with dogs. I currently am a stay at home mom, with all the free time in the world to be able to watch a dog for bits of time during a day, I love going on walks with my son, and I’m currently pregnant, due in May. I can care for a dog at the owners home, just not at mine since I live in an apartment. Going on long walks or whatever is necessary I can easily do and would enjoy that a ton, even in the rain.

“Lyssette kept me updated with pictures and video my whole trip. We used her our first time using rover and she did a wonderful job and my dog was very happy when she got home. We used to take my dog to boarding places but after it made her super sick last time we decided to try out rover and I’m glad we did because it was a very good experience.”
