“Eileen is fantastic. I absolutely trust her with my home and my family. I have one sweet butterball of a Labrador that a child could walk, but I also have a 95 lb impulsive shelter rescue that needs a strong head a fast eye and a firm hand to be safe. She's not an easy animal to walk and Eileen has complete command of her, and can walk both of these very different animals together at the same time. She's smart, sensible, prompt, professional, and has good strong boundaries with the dogs while still being kind to them. It's absolutely perfect and I'm beyond grateful that she's available to walk the dogs. ❤️🐾💪”

“Tammh did a great job of taking care of my dog! She is great at communicating and was able to help me out last minute. She always leaves a detailed note of the walk and takes lots of pictures! She really cares about the pets she takes care of!”

About: I've been a pet owner all my life (dogs and cats!) and have been pet sitting for a few years now. I also spent a summer when I was in college pet sitting for a couple who was traveling. My own pets have always been part of my family and I know how important their physical and mental health is. I have experience with older dogs and know that they may need a little extra consideration and attention. I will treat your pets and your home with the care and respect I would want someone to treat my own. I am available to stay at your house and be with your pet so they are almost never alone. Outside of short trips for groceries or to do other dog walks or check-ins I can be with your pet most of the day or for the full day. I'm a non-smoker and I will not invite anyone else over to your house. I’m happy to walk your dog if they don’t pull strongly and constantly on the leash - I'm good with mild to moderate constant pulling or intermittent strong pulling. Your privacy and security are of the utmost importance to me. I will treat your home and your pet with the care and respect that I would want someone to treat mine. It is a privilege to be allowed into someone's residence to watch over both their home and their pet and I take this responsibility seriously. I will only feed your pet what you have asked me to, no human food or table scraps. Pets can behave differently when their people are gone so I err on the side of caution and am careful about keeping them on leash and being aware when opening doors that they don’t bolt out. On walks I stay alert to traffic, other dogs, and wildlife.

“Angel takes such great care of our pup! She’s quick to respond and flexible with our schedule. Can tell from the pictures she sends that our dog is happy and enjoys walks with Angel.”

About: I will spend quality time with any and every animal that I watch. My brother and his girlfriend have me walk they're two dog's a few times a week while they're at work. They have a rotty and a german shepherd mix. I love doing it and my daughter loves them as well. I figured sense we love it so much I should see if I can get paid for it! I have been watching both dogs and cats for about 5 years now for both friend's and family whenever needed. I am not scared of pit bulls or any breed. I believe how you raise them is how they act. I am willing to deal with any kind of breed. I LOVE THEM ALL!

“Daisy was SO GREAT - super flexible when I needed her. And I made things complicated with a bad pickup and drop off location. I appreciate her patience with me while I was slow on crutches too.”

About: I've lived with, and taken care of, dogs and cats since I was a kid. I grew up next to a series of aggressive dogs (bit friends, joggers, etc.), which taught me how to conduct myself and be comfortable around all types of dog and cat personalities. Over the last few years, I started petsitting as favors for friends, and then in more formal capacities as demand increased. Now that I make my living as a fine artist, I've decided to lean in to pet sitting as a source of supplemental income. I show my work at art shows every weekend (usually with the Santa Fe Society of Artists), so pet sitting during the week fits easily into my flexible schedule. Most weekdays I work from home for most of the day, except when I go out to paint for a few hours (either in the early morning or late afternoon/golden hour), so daytime walks are always convenient for me. Most weekends I am gone for at least 8 hours of the day, so midday walks aren't possible (but morning and evening feeding still is possible). When I pet sit at a client's home, I make sure to follow the client's house rules and pet care instructions fastidiously. If I am ever unsure about a detail in pet care, my first inclination is always to contact the client. I do not host pets in my home.

“Madeline was so kind to be available on short notice and Chance enjoyed his walks with her while I was unexpectedly laid up. I’m glad to have met her and will reach out again next time I need help!”

“Gavin was awesome. Very flexible even with my moving process to a new home. Kind man who always sent me 2-3 photos of my dog to reassure me he was with him each day and walked him a good distance for having only 30vminutes to do so. Thanks Gavin!”

Between the two of us, we’ve cared for a wide range of pets — from dogs, cats, chickens, horses, cows, rabbits, and ducks to small pets like rats and hamsters. I grew up on a ranch, where my father taught me to love and care for animals of all kinds. My husband grew up surrounded by dogs and small animals, developing his own deep bond with pets. Today, we share our home with three cats and four dogs, and we’re passionate about treating every animal we care for like a member of the family. We’re a husband-and-wife team who both work full time, but we have plenty of availability in the mornings, evenings, and on weekends. We love starting and ending our days with playtime, walks, and quality care for the pets we look after. Your pets will always get lots of attention, love, and reliable care built into our daily routine. We are current with all of the safety and care procedures for cats and dogs. It is our goal to not only ensure safety and health, but to help your animal feel comfortable and loved.

“Katherine came and met me and my dog who were visiting from out of town. She was calm and listened to the directions I gave her. It was such a help when traveling with my dog while having to work. Thank you Katherine.”

About: I’ve had dogs of all kinds since I was born and haven’t known life without one by my side. In 2020 my lifelong golden retriever / corgi mix, Goldie, passed away, and since then I have been without a pet. In hopes to reconnect to animals I would like to channel my love into others’ pets. I believe there are countless invaluable lessons we can all learn from paying more attention towards animals. After graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design last June, I moved back home to Athens. My parents have a Great Pyrenees named Patch who I help care for, but other than that I have plenty of free time and consistent availability during the week/weekends. I am flexible and willing to adjust to your needs. I can easily adapt to any setup you may have at your home in which you would prefer your pet to stay. I understand the importance of routine and how that can keep your pets comfortable even if you are away. Unfortunately I do not yet have the space to host pets at my home.

“Danielle is friendly and takes wonderful care of my dog. She is very flexible and easy to work with. You can tell she loves animals and really takes great of my dog when I’m at work. She sends daily updates to let you know how your pet is while in her care. I would highly recommend her if you’re in the Santa Fe area :)”

“Eliza was wonderful with our pets! She gave us daily updates and photos, and was very easy to communicate with throughout the whole process. She was even willing to stop before the booking began to make sure that she would be a good fit for us and my pup. We will definitely be booking with her again.”

About: I've pet sit many times over the years and am generally a reliable person that's easy to communicate with. I don't have any pets of my own right now so I thought this would be a great way to get in more walks and cuddles :) I'm a freelance creative director and I work mostly from home so I have a flexible schedule for long walks etc. I work about 6 hours a day. I have a fenced in front yard and a quiet cozy home to share with your pup. I don't have any pets of my own right now and I live by myself!

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 6 years old. I have a 3 year-old Portuguese Water Dog who loves to have friends stay over. He’s incredibly friendly and welcoming to dogs staying over. I have a fenced yard (with GRASS!). I work from home so your dog will be given constant love and attention. Long walks are a must—especially to the two parks that are 5 minutes away. I work from home full time and have plenty of time throughout the day for walks. I am happy to pick up your dog from your home and bring them to ours! Claude, my 3-year-old Portuguese Water Dog, has had plenty of sleepovers lately and loves having a friend to hang out with at home. He’ll show your dog our fenced-in grassy yard, will gladly share his spot on the couch, and will advocate for your dog to get treats all day!

“Erica took amazing care of our dog. She really went above and beyond on the hot weekend, as well as had great communication with us the whole time. We so appreciated knowing that he was taken care of.”

About: I am a young adult working remotely at a medical nonprofit and hoping to spend some time with your pets! I just lost my dog/best friend of 9 years and hoping to put my love and care into your pet. I have experience administering medicine, syringe feeding, and taking care of sick dogs. I have owned and cared for dogs my entire life. My dogs have all had very different personalities, so I understand the need for lots of active play and exercise, as well as the need for relaxation time and a good belly rub. Two have been rescues, so I understand that patience and love are key. We could take a trip to the dog park, go on walks, or hang out at home! Your pet will have a blast with this excellent care taker! I work from home full time, so I have plenty of time to step away for potty breaks, play time, walks, medicine administration, and snuggles! I’m happy to provide the care that each individual pet needs. Whether that means a relaxing stay at home to reduce stress, or walks and play time to get energy out. I have a lot of experience taking care of sick or anxious dogs, so I want to do everything o can to make them comfortable.

Russell S.
“Russell grew up with loving dog companions and learned early in life about the responsibilities and privileges of dog care. He is devoted to his 3 year old Portuguese Water dog: taking him for long runs, mountain hiking, swimming, and participating in a play group for dogs. He has carefully trained his dog to be an excellent canine community citizen and reading therapy dog at our library. He knows how to consistently and lovingly set expectations and boundaries using positive reinforcement. He is always proactive in keeping dogs safe, healthy, and happy. In short, Russell is extremely professional, caring, reliable, responsible and safe. I can’t recommend him highly enough.”

She is able to administer medications, physically and mentally exercise your animals, and most importantly give them the love they’re missing while you’re gone. My dog doesn’t love most people but he loses his mind when he sees Abby! She’s the very best.”
