“Raquel was very personable and followed instructions well. My skittish Tobi cat even came near her in one of the visits when she typically doesn’t show up for strangers. Highly recommend Raquel!”

“I cannot recommend Shyann enough! I had to make a last-minute booking, and they completely exceeded my expectations. Even with the short notice, they insisted on doing a meet-and-greet to make sure my dog was comfortable and that all instructions were clear—a level of professionalism and care I truly didn't expect given the tight timeline. They are reliable, incredibly sweet with my pup, and provided fantastic updates. It is such a relief to find someone so dependable and accommodating. I will absolutely be booking again!”

“Cassidy was fantastic with my Doberman! Truly grateful for her timeliness and on-point communication! Thankful for her help with my baby boy while I was away! Will be rebooking for sure!”

“Matthew did a great job with my boys while I was away! They loved him and he made it so easy to enjoy my vacation while feeling my boys are being taken care of. He made sure the house was tidy and he was very communicative about anything going on. I would recommend Matthew to anyone and will be using him in the near future!”

“Siyani is definitely the first person we always reach out to when we need to go out of town - we always know our bulldog Bella will be thrilled to see her. She is very responsive and respectful, and also let us know about an unrelated issue in our yard in advance so we weren't surprised when we arrived home. I highly recommend her services!”

“Tess was very lovely! She was very understanding when things changes as far as logistics and was flexible when it came to adding an additional task. I would definitely have her check in on my animals again!”

About: I’ve been walking my friend’s’ dogs over the years and I absolutely love it. I’d be more than happy to check in your pe, take them for a walk and make sure that they don’t feel alone while you have to be out. I work from home two weeks of the month currently and will be expecting to be fully home by February. During those weeks, I can come anytime of day but the other two weeks, I’ll be available Thursday-Sunday. I’ll confirm that your pet is healthy and ensure that they’re comfortable with my presence / actions. I’ll also follow all instructions provided to me and share updates after each visit.
“Gordy had such a good time with Brandy taking care of him! She handled his zany feeding preferences flawlessly and was very patient with him accepting her. I will definitely be asking Brandy to help care for him in the future as well :)”

“Veronica did a great job! She offered and came for a pre- visit to see the house and meet our cat. While we were away, Veronica sent new pictures and made an effort to find our cat and give her a scratch each day! (Not something other Rover sitters have done)”

“I am so thankful for Beth! She was quick to respond and took great care of my dogs in a last minute booking. She sent pictures and gave a great update for how the visit went. I will definitely be using her in the future when I need a drop in visit!”

About: Hello! My name is Lauren. I work as a nurse at Hershey Medical part time and I'm looking to take care of pets in my free time! My last dog had diabetes and other health issues so I’m experienced with administering shots and medications. He was also blind so I’m experienced with those pups who cannot see! I fostered kittens and currently have a cat of my own. I also have experience with rabbits and guinea pigs. I will be sure to send pictures of your fur babies while you are away! I'm currently working part time as a nurse so I can provide care to your animal on my days off which will be provided in my availability calendar. Currently, my house is under construction so I cannot board any animals. I can come to your house though to feed, water, play, walk, and snuggle!
“I couldn’t have been happier with the care provided by Quinn for my cat, Oreo, while we were on vacation. She was attentive to Oreo’s needs despite Oreo’s reluctance to come out of hiding. Amazingly, Quinn was able to find her and send me a few photos! I truly am grateful for Quinn’s gentle manner, her knowledge of cats’ idiosyncrasies, and especially for her dependability and trustworthiness. I would highly recommend Quinn to anyone hoping for a caring pet sitter, and am hopeful she is available should I need her in the future!”

“Clara has helped us out so many times with both of our pups. My girls absolutely loved her and got so excited to see her. My puppy had tummy issues and had an accident in her crate which got on herself, Clara was more then willing to give her a bath and clean out her crate so my pup wouldn’t have to sit in it all day! She’s amazing with communication and will respond quickly when she’s able too! I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for someone to truly care about your animal while you’re gone!!”

About: Hi! I’m Cassie! I’ve been an animal lover my entire life and have always loved caring for pets of all kinds, ages, and personalities. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and even a guinea pig, and I’ve had the opportunity to help care for pets with a variety of needs and temperaments. My family has had six cats throughout my life, and I currently help care for our two cats. I also grew up with my dog, Maddie, a German Shepherd/Heeler mix, who is now enjoying her senior years. Caring for her has given me lots of experience understanding the needs of an older dog while still keeping up with her occasional puppy energy! More recently, in August 2025, I adopted my own perfect kitten, Willa, from a rescue in Philadelphia. During my last year of college, I also fostered numerous other cats and kittens, which gave me even more hands-on experience with everything from helping shy or nervous cats feel comfortable to keeping playful kittens happy and entertained. I’ve also cared for pets in my neighborhood through walking, feeding, pet sitting, and simply keeping them company, and I’ve always loved getting to know each pet’s individual personality and routine. I’m comfortable administering pills and accommodating pets with special needs, medical conditions, or disabilities. Whether your pet is an energetic puppy, a playful kitten, a laid-back adult, or a senior who prefers a slower pace, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, patience, and care. I’d love the opportunity to get to know your furry friend! :) I work a full-time job Monday through Friday, so my weekday availability is primarily outside of working hours. I’m available for walks and check-ins after 5 PM on weekdays, and if you’re located close to me, I may also be able to accommodate early-morning walks or check-ins before work. On weekends, I have much more flexibility and am generally available throughout the day. I’m happy to discuss your pet’s specific schedule and see what works best! I am prepared to follow any directions that are given to me whether that is for an in-house visit or a walk with your furry friend!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Sand Beach
Siyani provided prompt, great care for our two cats, including one who is a bit of an escape artist. We had no worries while we were away, and the kitties seemed pretty content and everything else in the house was in order. I would definitely recommend her services

Cassidy was great to work with and my cat was well taken care of. Getting the detailed notes and photos after each visit was super helpful and I felt at ease receiving updates. I came home to the litter trash taken out and the pet dishes cleaned and dried. Highly recommend Cassidy for her excellent services

Brandy noticed that the house seemed hot, checked the thermostat, and contacted me to let me know we might have a problem with our hvac system. She checked a few things for us, and it became clear the system was broken. I was able to call a repair service and set up an appointment for a repairman to come out the afternoon we arrived home. We appreciate her attention to detail!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 909 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Sand Beach. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sand Beach. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
