“Cassidy did an AMAZING job house sitting for our 2 kitties for the 10 days we were on vacation. She read all 9 pages of instructions even before our meet & greet and followed the intricate feeding requests for both kitties. Each needs different dry food for UTI prevention and weight management, 1 needs a probiotic, they get a different bedtime snack - Cassidy was a pro following everything and reached out when we needed to troubleshoot for one of the kitties. She played with their favorite toys, took the cutest photos, and really cared about them. Her kind and gentle demeanor made it so easy for them to get acclimated quickly. This was our longest time away from them, but I felt completely at peace and reassured they were in great hands. Cassidy also left the place looking immaculate when we got back. The trash was even clean and she put our mail on the counter. When we came back, the kitties looked completely content and came up to us like, ‘Who are you and where is Cassidy?’ lol. She did a wonderful job and we already have her booked for 2 more house sits this Summer!”

About: Hello! My name is Lauren. I work as a nurse at Hershey Medical part time and I'm looking to take care of pets in my free time! My last dog had diabetes and other health issues so I’m experienced with administering shots and medications. He was also blind so I’m experienced with those pups who cannot see! I fostered kittens and currently have a cat of my own. I also have experience with rabbits and guinea pigs. I will be sure to send pictures of your fur babies while you are away! I'm currently working part time as a nurse so I can provide care to your animal on my days off which will be provided in my availability calendar. About: I have owned many dogs- big and small in my life. I’ve had several fish, a chinchilla, and most recently a cat, all who I have adored and cherished. I have loved animals since I was little and find them to be as therapeutic for me as I am for them. Like I mentioned in my headline, pet care is self care; by caring for who I consider members of my family, I am caring for myself. Being in a pet care routine is as easy for me as a self care routine, because to me they are essentially the same. That makes me feel accomplished and rewarded in knowing my pets are happy. Seeing my dogs face while walking him and playing with him brings me contentment and joy. I try to exercise him various times a day, by providing different toys. Even simple things like cleaning my cats litter box and getting her fresh water makes such a difference in our bond. I also take time to engage with my cat by presenting different toys and treats. Recently, I bought a small mesh tent for my cat and evidently, my dog ended up loving it too. This allows them to safely get fresh air without being tied to a leash. Ultimately, it’s about treating my pets with respect, compassion, and patience.
