“Cassidy did an AMAZING job house sitting for our 2 kitties for the 10 days we were on vacation. She read all 9 pages of instructions even before our meet & greet and followed the intricate feeding requests for both kitties. Each needs different dry food for UTI prevention and weight management, 1 needs a probiotic, they get a different bedtime snack - Cassidy was a pro following everything and reached out when we needed to troubleshoot for one of the kitties. She played with their favorite toys, took the cutest photos, and really cared about them. Her kind and gentle demeanor made it so easy for them to get acclimated quickly. This was our longest time away from them, but I felt completely at peace and reassured they were in great hands. Cassidy also left the place looking immaculate when we got back. The trash was even clean and she put our mail on the counter. When we came back, the kitties looked completely content and came up to us like, ‘Who are you and where is Cassidy?’ lol. She did a wonderful job and we already have her booked for 2 more house sits this Summer!”

About: I’ve owned dogs, cats, and horses my entire life. I’ve been dog sitting for others for 7 years. I’ve owned dogs with behavioral issues from resource guarding to fear reactivity towards other people and animals and medical needs like Degenerative Myelopathy, ACL tears, dental disease, and an enlarged heart requiring specialized attention and care. I am a lead volunteer trainer of new volunteer dog handlers at the Harrisburg Humane Society. When I’m not training new volunteers, I handle dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, behavioral, and medical needs. I’ve taken dogs to off site events for exposure and I’m an adoption counselor helping pair families with the right dog for their home. I have worked with rescue and foster dogs. I will make sure that your dog’s needs are met and will meet them at their level while helping them grow. I will work on patience and consistency, and I will even work on commands with them. From the end of August-middle of June I primarily have hours after 4 and through the evening during the week. While I am on breaks throughout the year and during summer, my availability is open during the mornings and daytime as well. I can be flexible on weekends depending on the time and day! I will meet every need you have for your dog or cat. I am reliable, patient, and consistent. I can work on things your pet is struggling with like impulse control, commands, leash walking, etc. I am comfortable crating and separating pets as needed. If your dog has reactivity with new people or other animals - I have an extra soft spot for them as my own pets have struggled with that. I will do slow introductions to make sure your pet is building a relationship with me that is safe and comfortable at their pace. Consistency, patience, and structure is key. I can provide a mix of walks and play time as well as enrichment if the weather is bad. I do not mind the weather changes or daylight changes as their needs come first. Even if your dog wants a quick walk and cuddle time, we will do what they need. I will also communicate with you each time by sending a detailed pet update or report card so you know how they are doing.

My last dog had diabetes and other health issues so I’m experienced with administering shots and medications. He was also blind so I’m experienced with those pups who cannot see! About: I LOVE dogs and cats! Growing up, my family always had big dogs and fluffy cats around the house; so throughout my life I have gained experience caring for puppies and kittens all the way up to seniors. I adore dogs of all sizes, but big dogs will always have a special place in my heart. We owned a Rottie/Lab mix, a Great Dane, an English Mastiff, Boxer, and various Doodle breeds. We also had 3 Ragdoll cats. I currently have 3 Domestic Short and Long haired cats of my own with my fiancé and I love them dearly; but I really miss having a dog around the house. Helping people care for pets on here seemed like the perfect way to help me hang with pups! I frequently assist my friends and family with pet sitting, dog walking, and caring for their animals while they are away. Outside of animals, I work for The Department of State as a Legal Assistant and sit for 8 hours a day at a desk. Taking a dog on a nice walk or having a play session with pets sounds like a very pleasant way for me spend my time after sitting in an office all day. I also love to read, cook/bake, do yoga, play video games, and play softball on my women’s community team! I’m currently working a full time office job from 7:30am to 4:00pm, so I can be available on weekdays any time after 4:30pm or early in the morning . I can be available anytime on weekends with enough notice to plan. As much as I would love to help people board their pets, I can’t given the size of my apartment.
