“Cassidy is an AMAZING walker for my Millie girl! She gives her all the love and I trust she’s in capable hands every day for her midday walk. Millie can be a bit of a puller/barker on walks and Cassidy handles her perfectly. She is a great communicator with anything going on (even random repair people showing up at my house). I so much appreciate the love she shows my baby.”

“Matthew did a fantastic job taking care of our Boston Terrier while we were gone for over a week. He visited our home twice a day for feeding, walking, and playing and gave frequent updates. We felt so much more at ease leaving our dog at home while we traveled thanks to Matthew. We will use him again.”

“Abby was a long term dog walker for us while I recovered from a broken leg. She was always so kind and friendly. My dogs absolutely loved her and were always excited to see her! We would absolutely recommend Abby!!”

“Alexandra was great with my two pups (Newfoundland and a Cavapoo). She followed all directions provided, and she spent quality time with each pup. She was super helpful being able to accommodate me into her schedule last minute.”

“Ashley takes such good care of my boy Samson when I’m away. I never have to worry. She’s always on time and spends plenty of time with him. He enjoys seeing her every time.”

“Siyani is absolutely AMAZING! My rescued pup is a reactive dog, and it’s usually very difficult for him to warm up to new people,!especially when it comes to walks or being cared for by someone new. But with Siyani, he felt safe right away!! She has such a calm, kind energy that made Toby comfortable and confident, which is something I honestly didn’t think I would find outside of our family. Finding someone who can handle a rescue pup with patience and love is rare, and Siyani has completely earned my trust. This experience gave me the peace of mind I needed, and now I know I’ve found my go-to sitter for Toby, not only for dog walks but also for when I travel. I couldn’t recommend her enough!!”

“Diana accepted a last minute request (day before). She came to pick up key that day and did meet ‘n greet with husband to get instructions. On day of walk, she was on time, called when our fickle front door stuck in the humidity. On the call, after the door opened, it was clear both her and Lizzy our maltipoo were excited to see each other. We got picture and walk info. She left the key in our drop mailbox as she left so we didn’t have to worry or track her down. Very professional! We would definitely book Diana again.”

“So thankful for Dani! We had something come up last minute and she quickly replied that she was available to walk our dog. She was great at communicating about their trip. Will definitely confide in her in the future to take care of our pup!”

“We used Mya for a month to help with our working line German Shepherd puppy during my third trimester. Mya was incredibly helpful and knowledgable, and always did more than we asked. She is such a sweetheart and we are so grateful for her!!”

About: I've been taking care of dogs and cats since I was a young girl. I know a lot about body language, feeding routines, and behavior. I have no issues with any pets, as long as they don't bite! I work a full time job as a, hours ranging between 3:00p- 10p (I try to change my availability on Rover as I get my work schedule!), but I want to incorporate my pet care calling into my life, so I decided to pick this up as a part time! Please keep in mind that I like to book clients, especially new ones, 3 (three) days in advance! This gives us time for a proper Meet & Greet, and for me to build a Client File! I do not take appointments past 3pm. I will gladly work around appointments to the best of my abilities! Caring for your animal, depending on dog or cat, I will have them leashed outside when walking, and monitor when outside in a fenced in yard, or given treats!
About: I’m a dog mom that works from home 95% of the time. With 4 dogs and almost an acre for a fenced in backyard, there is a lot of time for fun activities, cuddles, and the zoomies both in and outside of the house. I have experience with both puppies and elderly dogs, and have enough space throughout the house that either can be made comfortable in a space if needed. My daily AND weekly routine are very flexible as I can adjust my own schedule when needed. Even on work hours, I have a lot of free time on my hands that allow for short walks or some fun activities in the yard. My dogs always have time made for them, so I would love to include your pups in our free time. My backyard is fenced in and is a very large plot to allow for a quick stretch of the legs and multiple potty breaks. Smaller dogs will be taken on a leash as the fence is a rail type fence, but larger dogs will be allowed to roam freely around the yard. If your pups are not dog friendly it is a MUST know so that space can be separated from my own, but still allow them room to run and grow comfortable in a new space. Dogs are let out every 1-3 hours, depending on what is needed and can be adjusted as needed.

About: I have been an animal lover all of my life, and was raised with 5 huskies. Since then, I’ve had a variety of animals, including a salamander, chinchillas, ferrets, dogs, cats, and hamsters. I'm looking for clients who will not mind if my son tags along for a visit or a walk, and an excuse to get us both out of the house (walking is a bonus!). I have experience working as a dog trainer with shelter and rescue dogs, so difficult behaviors are no issue! I would love to take care of your fur babies as if they were my own! I currently work 3-4 days a week and have availability Fridays thru Mondays (sometimes Tuesdays) to help care for your critters while you take long weekend getaways :) I treat a client’s home with respect, and do my very best follow routines as closely to what you do as I can. My goal is to provide safe, secure care thag you can rely on.
About: I’m at that stage of life where I can’t have my own pup yet, but I love them so much! So, I’ve been watching my friends and families pets for the last three years! I treat every pup with the same love and attention. I’m a full time medical student who loves dogs more than anything else! I love to spend quality time with furry friends in the evening when I get off of my rotations and weekends when I have a lot of downtime. I have a two bedroom apartment with a balcony and large living room. I tend to walk the dogs 2-3 times a day when they stay with me at my place, depending on if I’m working nearby and can run home for lunch :) Otherwise, I’m home most of the 8 hours I’m not at work, and most of the weekend! Happy to walk dogs and pet sit at other homes and accommodate whatever needs seen fit per your pupper in your home.
“Makenzie was awesome. We went to Buena Vista with 3 big dogs and Makenzie walked them all on two separate occasions while we were white water rafting and horseback riding. Kept us posted and I had piece of mind to leave them knowing she was going to be there for them. Kept us updated on walking and sent pictures.”

Cassidy walked my Millie girl almost every weekday while I was at work for 6 months. She’s been fantastic with my crazy girl and we will both miss her very much (we are moving). She’s very thoughtful and kind to my baby even when she can be a bit of a pain on walks. Appreciate her patience and love! Wishing her all the best. 😭❤️

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
