About: Hi!✨ I’m a lifelong animal lover who has always had pets as a big part of my household. While I haven’t worked professionally with animals, I’ve spent years caring for many different types of pets, especially dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. I’m looking to fill my time between my photography and turn something I genuinely love into meaningful work. I’m dependable, patient, attentive, and treat every pet like they’re my own. I’d love the opportunity to give your pets plenty of love, attention, playtime, and care when you need! Will also provide cute photos if requested! 😊💕 (Dogs over 100 pounds may not be the best fit as I am similar in size!🥲) My schedule is very flexible! I’m a real estate photographer, so my hours tend to vary. I can usually make any day of the week/time work! 🌞 I’m happiest caring for pets in their own home, where they feel most comfortable and can stick to their normal routine! I’m happy to provide walks, feeding, fresh water, playtime, cuddles, potty breaks, and plenty of attention while you’re away💖
“10/10 would recommend! High level of communication, honest and trust worthy. I will be hiring Jedan again for any of my overnights and drop ins schedule permitting :).”

“This is our second time using Sujeong and we plan to use her in the future. She provides so many updates and pictures. She communicates promptly and follows all care instructions. Our dog was so comfortable while we were away, which gave us peace of mind to enjoy our trip.”

“Reanne was an excellent caregiver for my cat, KK. She really connected with KK, who normally is a very shy, timid cat and doesn’t come out of hiding for just anyone. Reanne came to my home and took wonderful pictures of them playing and kept in touch with me during my travels. I would highly recommend her for pet sitting. I intend to have her back again for both my cat and my dog.”

“Mary did an amazing job making sure my dogs got all of their medications on time. I really appreciated the regular updates and adorable pictures while I was away. Highly recommend!”

“We had a great first experience with Zach! He stayed at our home with our two older, somewhat needy girls, and they were immediately comfortable and at ease with him. It’s obvious he’s very experienced and comfortable with dogs. He was timely, did a meet and greet beforehand, and sent us plenty of photos, videos, and updates throughout our time away, which we really appreciated. He was also very respectful of our home and left everything exactly as we had left it. Most importantly, the girls were happy and well cared for when we got home. Zach is genuinely nice, reliable, and someone we felt comfortable trusting with both our dogs and our home. We’ll absolutely use him again!”

“Amanda stayed at our home for 6 days with our Honey Girl while we were away on vacation. She kept in touch with updates, pictures, and even video chats. We knew our girl was in good hands which made our trip more enjoyable. Amanda also had our home like it was when we left which was much appreciated.”

About: Dog lover with no pets of my own at home. I have owned multiple dogs over the years and currently help friends and family with their animals. Specialize in big breeds: Great Dane, boxers, Berner, newfies, etc. little pups are welcome too. Would like to expand and help others care for theirs. I am a full time online student working on my masters degree so I am very flexible especially for evenings, overnights and weekends. Very active person in good shape and love to get out and about. Also have a large suv if transportation is required. Lots of love and attention to give! Hoping to work with you and your furry best friend. Please contact me if you would like more information.
“We cannot recommend Jyllian enough. We have two big dogs and one is very quirky and anxious at times. We’ve never left them with a stranger before they always travel with us. Jyllian was wonderful with our boys, went above and beyond and we could tell from the pictures she shared every day that they were at ease and very comfortable with her already. She was wonderful, trustworthy, dependable, and treated them like her own - all things someone hopes for in a great pet sitter. We are so glad we found her and our boys have a new best friend!”

About: I’ve lived with dogs my entire life and have experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. From playful puppies to senior dogs, I’m comfortable and confident handling a wide range of needs. I regularly bathe, feed, and walk not only my own dogs but also those of friends and family. I also have hands-on experience with post-surgery care, so I’m attentive and gentle when it comes to administering medications or helping a dog recover comfortably. My goal is always to make your pet feel safe, loved, and at home—even when you’re away. As a teacher, my schedule is very pet-friendly. I’m off during the summer, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility to dedicate to pet care. During the school year, I finish work by mid-afternoon, allowing me to be available for afternoon walks, evening visits, or overnight care. My routine is consistent and reliable, which means your pet will always get the attention and care they need—whether it’s playtime, feeding, or a relaxing walk. In your home, I make sure to respect your space while keeping your pet’s routine consistent. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family, with plenty of room to relax, play, and feel at ease. I also keep pet parents updated with messages and photos, so you can feel confident that your pet is in good hands.
About: I’ve been walking my friend’s’ dogs over the years and I absolutely love it. I’d be more than happy to check in your pe, take them for a walk and make sure that they don’t feel alone while you have to be out. I work from home two weeks of the month currently and will be expecting to be fully home by February. During those weeks, I can come anytime of day but the other two weeks, I’ll be available Thursday-Sunday. I’ll confirm that your pet is healthy and ensure that they’re comfortable with my presence / actions. I’ll also follow all instructions provided to me and share updates after each visit.
“This is our second time with Melanie! We had a 14 day vacation and she took care of our fur babies in our home so both our dogs and we felt comfortable on the lengthy time apart. She is responsive and gives updates throughout the time with our pets. Came home to a surprise Santa photo with the dogs which was super cute! She is respectful of our home and we trust her. Thank you again Melanie! Astro and Alani will look forward to our next planned vacation without them!”

“Kevin is a super nice guy. I am so glad we have him in our dogs lives and ours. I will take him anytime. He did a great job with our pups. They seem very happy.”

“Fran was absolutely fantastic! Our senior dog, Sophie, has hearing and vision impairments along with mobility challenges, and Fran cared for her with exceptional patience, grace, and professionalism. We are so grateful for the peace of mind she gave us while we were away.”

“Hannah’s fabulous! I had to give her complicated instructions, and Frankie’s taking some complicated meds, so her stay with Frankie had a lot of details. Crushed it, and I was so much more comfortable being gone. And I think they both had a great time! Couldn’t ask for more. Thank you Hannah!”

“Adam was fantastic with Aurora and kept us informed. Aurora was spoiled. He also cleaned up the endless leaves that find their way in our house. Will look to book with him again in the future!”

Makenzie has done an amazing job with Pepper! We are so lucky to have found her. Pepper has some special requirements with how she needs to interact with new people as a reactive dog. Makenzie worked with her to give her the space and time she needed to become comfortable. We also had horrible storms while we were away and lost power. Makenzie worked fast to find a new safe place for her and Pepper! Highly recommend booking with Makenzie :)

Jyllian was amazing! She took amazing care of my senior dog and was attentive to all of his needs. She was great at communicating and sent pictures through the stay. She also left my house in perfect condition. She’s definitely the best pet sitter I’ve ever had!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Sand Beach on Rover is $66.6 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 982 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Sand Beach. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sand Beach walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sand Beach maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sand Beach choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sand Beach. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
