Hi there - I’m recently moved to the Hershey area, but definitely have lots of experience with animals. I have grown up around dogs and cats, and have now volunteered with, fostered, and owned several of my own. I am looking to start dog walking and house sitting your furry friends in the Hershey/Harrisburg area. I am comfortable working with senior or reactive dogs, as well as other animals, and can help continue whatever training/routine/management you have started. I do require a meet and greet prior to sitting for your dog to make sure they are comfortable with me and I am comfortable with their routine. My schedule is flexible, so please let me know what your specific needs are. Feel free to reach out if you have specific dates in mind, or are just trying to establish with someone for future needs!

Prior to watching your dog, I will ask you to walk me through their routine. Do they stay in a crate? How much food do they eat and how often? How often do they need to use the bathroom? Do they take any medicine or have any specific triggers I should avoid? I will ask you to outline their typical routine for me and I will adhere to that as best as possible!

Makenzie was excellent during a 4-day housesit with my dog. My dog is very reactive on walks and can be difficult to manage sometimes; Makenzie did a great job with her and kept me informed the whole weekend. I felt very safe & comfortable the whole time away knowing Makenzie was here taking care of my dog. Would highly recommend Makenzie to other pet parents!

Makenzie has done an amazing job with Pepper! We are so lucky to have found her. Pepper has some special requirements with how she needs to interact with new people as a reactive dog. Makenzie worked with her to give her the space and time she needed to become comfortable. We also had horrible storms while we were away and lost power. Makenzie worked fast to find a new safe place for her and Pepper! Highly recommend booking with Makenzie :)

Schedule
I am currently a full time student with a flexible schedule that allows me to walk or stop in for visits during the workday. Prior to booking, we can discuss a specific time line and can go over what that looks like.

- Let me know if your dog has any special needs or behavioral concerns. Let me know their overall temperament, anything that stresses them out, or anything that they absolutely love.
