I cannot recommend Stephen enough. He took amazing care of our Buddy while we were away. He communicated and sent us videos and updates every day. He was cautious when introducing Buddy to the other dogs in his care and we had a meet and greet prior to the stay which I appreciate, he goes above and beyond to make sure the dogs in his care are compatible to keep all dogs safe. I look forward to using him in the future and I know Buddy will too. You can see that dogs in Stephens care are treated as his own and that is so comforting when leaving your dog in his care.

Christine has been a great “second home” for Tyr. He goes barreling in the door as soon as he sees her. It is wonderful to know he is so happy to be dropped off there and we know he is well taken care of. We would highly recommend Christine.

We’re so happy we found Nayeli! My husband and I were looking for a sitter near our Airbnb in upstate NY since it didn’t allow dogs, and Nayeli was absolutely fantastic. She’s very knowledgeable and took such great care of our dogs, including giving thyroid medication to our Husky. She sent us regular updates and photos, which made us feel completely at ease while we were away. Her home is clean, well-equipped, and safe for dogs. The fenced backyard is beautiful, and our dogs had so much fun playing there with her own dogs — they got along so well! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely book with Nayeli again in the future. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable dog sitter!

About: I was raised in a positive pet friendly family environment and had my own dogs and cats for more than twenty years. I can handle large, medium, and small dogs and will look to give them long walks and lots of exercise as a good dog is a tired dog. I work full-time but have plenty of free time during the week and on weekends to feed, walk, play fetch, or just hang out with your dog. I am happy to come to your home and walk your dog and or play at a local dog park, I am familiar with dogs from Yorkshire Terriers and Kings Charles Spaniels to Rottweilers and German Shepards.

Cici was wonderful with Ruby! I had another rover fall through and Cici worker with me to find a solution. We were able to have a very slow and steady meet and greet. It gave Ruby a ton of confidence for the stay. All the updates about how my pup was fitting in with her family were great. She handled the pup well. Would highly recommend

About: Hi! I have 2 small dogs and have had animals in my life since I was a kid. My dogs are friendly to all, healthy, and well-loved. I am also a teacher and a mom to two fantastic girls. I can understand busy life and would love to help others get it all done - while sharing my time playing, feeding, walking your dogs. Get $40 off your first Rover booking! https://www.rover.com/sit/nicolp03637 I am a teacher and have some time off for the summer. I would love to take some of my extra time to work with dogs. When the school year kicks off, I can continue to help in the evening and weekends. I have a fenced yard and my own small, very friendly schnauzer-poodle mix. Your dog would have plenty of love from me and my sweet dog. In addition, I am able to take the pooch on walks in the neighborhood or a nice hike, depending on the timing.

Amanda was amazing! I was so glad that we had a meet and greet beforehand so I could make sure my pup felt comfortable with her and her two dogs. My dog warmed up to them quickly, and I knew that he would be in good hands. Amanda was great with him and sent me updates with photos and videos. My dog felt right at home! Amanda is very professional and kind, and the fact that she is a Vet Tech is a bonus! I will definitely be booking with her again. Thank you, Amanda!

Amruta took excellent care of Happy. Happy is 3yr old, we have never left him alone. He has lot of separation anxiety. This is the first time I left Happy for boarding. I was very worried about how he would stay for 3 nights. Amruta went above and beyond to take care of Happy. She sent me constant updates. Happy became very comfortable and was playing well in no time. I could relax and enjoy my vacation knowing that he is in good hands. Happy also had a mini vacation and enjoyed time at Amruta place. We will definitely contact her for boarding happy again. I highly recommend Amruta and thank her for pampering my little pup.

There are 430 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in Salt Point. About 90% of Salt Point sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
