“Wesley had such a great time! She was very communicative, sent regular updates and pictures, and made sure every detail was taken care of. Was a great experience.”

“Kymberly was an amazing dog and house sitter! We haven’t left Gemma with many people— she’s a high energy Cattle dog and we just get nervous about who can carry out her routine (crazy dog parents, I know). However, we found our match! She had the best time with Kymberly and her Cattle dog, Huck—- who is such a sweetheart. I felt comfortable immediately at our meet and greet. We received video and photo updates every morning when they were out getting exercise in open spaces and the greenway. She went above and beyond and washed the guest bed bedding. We came home to a clean house. We have already re-booked for another trip in a few weeks. Thanks again!”

“Cassidy was very quick to communicate, professional and left everything perfectly in place. Dogs and cat were happy, and we appreciated not worrying about the pets while we were gone.”

About: I have Managed 2 different dog kennels with ~40 dogs each over the past 4 years in Alaska. I have primarily worked with Alaskan Malamutes and Alaskan Huskies age range 3 days to 14 years. I have volunteered at rescue kennels as well, and have worked with all different dog personalities! I grew up with dogs, and have one of my own, Daisy, my rescue girl. I take care of my partner's dog, Xena, like she is my own as well. I am pretty nomadic and never really work a proper 9-5, giving me the flexibility to be at your house to take care of your animals whenever you need. I understand animal care is always top priority and there is no time to 'clock out' when watching your loved ones! I am happy to adhere to any feeding schedule, and take a dog on a leashed walk or off leash time in a backyard/fenced in area. I am a very active person and complete most of my outdoor activities with my dog. If you dog is high energy as well and would like to come along on a hike, bikejour or skijour I am happy to take them along. If you would like your dog to socialize, my dog daisy loves other dogs but is never overbearing.

About: I was raised to care for animals—especially dogs—and it's something I’ve carried with me throughout my life. With years of personal experience as a dog companion and time spent volunteering at shelters, I’ve developed a deep love for dogs and a natural ability to connect with them. If I could, I’d adopt an older pup at the local Buena Vista shelter today! But with a busy 9–5 schedule, I know I can’t currently provide the full-time attention a dog deserves. That said, I’m 23, new to Chaffee County, living in Poncha Springs and working in Buena Vista—and I’d love to help you care for your pup. Whether it’s taking your dog out for a walk, giving them a fun day away while you're at work, or just helping out during a landlord inspection, I’m ready. My goal is to build community and make animal loving friends! The extra cash is nice, but connecting you and your pup are more important. This varies based on what special needs your pup may have. I'm ready to do the extra walks, the special feeding schedule, or medications if you show me before hand how to do it!

“Julia dogs at my dog for one night and was wonderful! She offered to come by ahead of time to learn the ropes and was flexible with timing when our departure time changed a couple times. I loved all the photos she sent. I would definitely recommend her to others!”

“Chelsea is fantastic! She stayed in our home with our dog for over a week. She kept us up to date with notes and photos of our boy in action. Chelsea socialized our pup with other dogs and got him out for long walks and hikes often. She is tidy, respectful and tended to a our plants as well. 100% would recommend Chelasea !!”

“Christine is a fantastic sitter. She is very communicative and thoughtful and we felt safe leaving our dog for 5 nights with her at our home. She kept the place super clean and our dog was obviously well cared for. Highly recommend Christine!”

About: I have been rescuing animals since I was 5. I have had great dogs in my life and currently have an awesome kitty from the Human Society. Professionaly, I House/Pet sat for months at a time for two beautiful Norweigan Buhunds in the recent past. These are a unique breed and I was honored to be trusted with their care. I retired from my first career of 2 decades and I am currently returning to school for Nursing. Currently my classes are only Tuesday and Wednesday evenings for 2 hours, then alot of studying at home. If boarded at my home, I have a beautiful fenced yard and welcome animals inside as well. I am happy to maintain their usual routine if I am House sitting at your place.

“Elena is a kind and professional sitter - thank you!”

About: I have taken care of dogs of all ages. Friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and play with their pets for many years now. My kids now share that experience and love running around with energetic puppies and cuddling with the older animals. I currently work full time but am available on the weekends, holidays, and certain weekdays. We go on walks and visit the dog park daily. I have a big fenced in backyard and 1 fur baby that loves making friends and playing with other dogs. We enjoy games of fetch and tug-o-war and do light training.

“Great follow-through, gave extra where needed. My puppy and 2 felines had a happy healthy well cared for housesitting stay for a week. We let our pups meet and I feel this creates good community, and a new resource for my pup. There were a few issues I forgot to go over with her and a couple of issues with keys and openers. I recommend you have a special checklist for specifically housesitting...because there are so many details. I still recommend Kathlyn 100%, Ana'ali and my cats and I are super duper lucky. Thank you Kathlyn, Thank you Rover.com”

Emily M.
“I can’t say enough about the wonderful care Emily provided for our two dogs. Emily is so trustworthy that she lived in our house and cared for our dogs for many 2-5 week stays over multiple years while we traveled. She genuinely loves dogs, and her attentiveness and mindfulness about their unique personalities and needs was evident. She communicated with us while we were away which was always so encouraging. We were sad when Emily moved out of CA. If you’re interviewing dog-sitters or dog-walkers, look no further. Emily is a real GEM!”

She’s been very flexible with us and came to our house to watch them and she’s also let us drop them off at her home. She is flexible, dependable, and very trustworthy!”

Salida pet parents share their Rover experiences
Took amazing care of Layla and our home. Layla had hurt her foot the weekend before and required special attention. We got so many pictures of our Layla having the best time. We are very happy with our choice of sitters! Thank you!

Kym took wonderful care of Luna and ZeeBee! It was obvious from the videos she sent us the that they really appreciated the attention and affection they received. And she took wonderful care of our home! We will gladly have Kym back again to take care of our home and pets.

Chelsea was so wonderful! She sent lots of photos and updates. She was a champ with our special needs dog who requires injections twice a day. Handling three dogs can be a lot (especially when one is a new puppy) but she made it look easy. She also took great care of our home. We will definitely invite Chelsea back in the future! So glad to have made this connection.

This is the second time having Kari watch our older dog, Nova, and she’s our new favorite sitter. Will definitely book again and again!

Cielo is kind and professional. I left my three dogs with her for a long weekend and she was awesome. Highly recommend booking Cielo.

cassandra was fantastic! I felt great leaving our pup with her and will gladly rebook with her for future care. she took care of our house and our dog with attention to detail and respect. thank you!

Ripley took great care of our two cats and one dog while we were away for eight days. We appreciated the photos and her responsiveness to our check-in texts, and returned to happy pets and a tidy house.

Ellie is great! Was perfect with communication and photos. Would definitely trust her with our dogs again. Happy puppies!
Jill took fantastic care of Flint. Jill is an excellent communicator providing frequent updates (with plenty of photos) about all the fun they were having. I would definitely recommend Jill and plan to reach out to her for future sitting needs!

This is the second time Julia has stayed with our dog Freya while we went away, and I know that Freya just loves her. Julia takes such good care of her, sends us updates and photos, and even offered to stay late if our flight got delayed. She is the best dog sitter by far we've ever had for Freya!
