“Brenna is fantastic with Pua, always very thorough with her notes, takes lots of pictures diring their walks, and it’s a safe bet that she’ll take good care of my pup. Really appreciate you!”

“I can’t recommend Anne enough! She took care of my two cats for an entire month with daily drop-ins, and she was incredibly responsible, reliable, and caring throughout the whole stay. Communication was great — I consistently received updates and photos, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. I will definitely book with Anne again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter!”

“Lidia is amazing!! Rosie girl gets the best care from her every time she comes over and she’s always going the extra mile for her which we both love and appreciate so much 🥰”

“Tara was great and reliable. She was very professional to make sure she had all of the proper instructions beforehand. Our cat even got sick a bit during the visit, she was able to help out and make sure he was good to go until we got back.”

“Jaidyn was fantastic while I was overseas in Poland and Switzerland for two weeks! She took amazing care of my four cats—Mandy, Lucy, Mochi, and Bodhi—doing daily drop-in visits. Every day she sent updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while being so far from home. Everyone looked relaxed, well-fed, and clearly loved. I came home to happy cats and a clean setup. Highly recommend Jaidyn for anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative sitter!”

“Davis did a great job taking care of my cats while I was out of town! He did exactly what we needed, and was an excellent, quick communicator. I look forward to working with him again!”

About: Back in 2014, I attended Tennessee College of Applied Technology, graduated early with my diploma in Assistance Animal Laboratory Technicians, also with a certification in Purina Mills Animal Care Course. I have done an internship with North Shelby Animal Shelter as well as Bartlett Animal Shelte, where I took stray dogs/ abandoned out for walks and to play. Most of the dogs I encountered with at the shelter were sweet and loving dogs that just need a friend and time to spend with a person. I treated those dogs as my own. I have also intern at University of Tennessee Health and Science Center taking care of rodents, pigs, and other animals. I am someone who is mature, candid and who has integrity. Everyday I work to improve myself and my skills which is part of maturing and becoming better at what I do, this is why I want clients to choose me. I will treat your pets as my own pets. I will love and care for them, as if they where my own.
“Bailey is awesome! She came on very short notice to take care of Pancho. I really appreciate her great care for my babe. She does a great job.”

“Damaris gave carr, love and affection to my dog and cat. she stepped up in a pinch when my sitter had a family emergency. Will definitely get het to housesit again!”

About: I have taken care of pets as long as I can remember. Aside from having two of my own, I also worked for 3 summers as a veterinary technician so I have significant experience caring for all animals including those with medical needs. I work from home, so my schedule is very flexible. For house sitting, I can work from your home during the day if you have reliable wifi. I am available to care for your pet at your home to minimize the distribution to their schedule. Your pets safety and comfort is my top priority.
About: I stand apart from other sitters because of the specific strengths you naturally bring to the job the things most sitters overlook but parents value the most. and I will treat your fur babies exactly like I treat mine like the babies they are no matter the size and age. Pet care fits into my routine pretty naturally. Since I work full time Monday–Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., I usually handle the essentials after my shift. In the mornings, I make sure pets are fed, let out, and settled. After work, I take care of things like walks, playtime, and any cleaning that needs attention. On weekends, I have more flexibility for longer activities like park time or deeper cleaning. I care for pets in the home by focusing on routine, safety, comfort, and communication. The exact approach depends on the service I offer—pet sitting, dog walking, boarding, drop‑ins, or overnight care—but the core principles stay the same.
“Brittany was exceptional! You can tell she loves animals. I will definitely reach out to her again when I travel. Thank you from Lisa, Jezzy and Merri Margaret”

“Emma was great with our cat and clearly gave her lots of love! She sent a nice photo or two every day and made sure to check all the boxes of little things we asked her to do as well! Highly recommend!”

“Abby is amazing and so flexible with crazy schedules and last minute asks!! My sweet corgi absolutely lovessss visits from her. I couldn’t ask for someone better”

Amy saved the day when I realized that I never hit book after her coming by to get the key and pet instructions. She came over after 8:30 at night at the last moment to feed and cuddle. I’m super grateful and feel great about leaving my babies in her care!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Rugby. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
